Tycoon: Binding with Young Mature Women
Chapter 89: Chance Encounter
Chapter 89: Chapter 89: Chance Encounter
SIGH.
Su Yunzhou had told himself many times that he had a long life ahead and needed to learn restraint. But sometimes, if a person didn’t enjoy the world while young, they wouldn’t get the chance when they were old.
He couldn’t really blame himself for being weak-willed; his opponent’s Charm Skill was simply too strong, and his own magic resistance was a bit low.
Thankfully, it takes two to tango.
Liu Yiyi promptly stopped casting her skills and sternly put a halt to his actions.
After all, the "field" needed time to rest.
Not to mention the "ox."
At half-past eleven.
The couple drove to Shiwaide Hotel.
Situated right in the bustling downtown area, the hotel occupied a massive expanse of land. Furthermore, the sheer audacity of using such a grand name was a testament to its high-end status.
The first-floor lobby was magnificent and extravagantly decorated. As soon as Su Yunzhou and Liu Yiyi walked in, a middle-aged man in a black suit immediately came up to greet them.
He wore a perfectly measured expression of respect.
"Hello, Mr. Su, Ms. Liu!"
"I’m President Ye’s secretary, Zhang Wei."
Having met the man before, Liu Yiyi smiled. "Secretary Zhang, sorry to keep you waiting."
After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Secretary Zhang led the way, guiding the couple upstairs toward the restaurant. Taking advantage of the walk, he smoothly slipped in mentions of how much President Ye cared about this lunch meeting. The message between the lines was clear: their boss valued him highly.
Yet, he struck such a perfect balance in his words that it didn’t feel the least bit annoying.
As an HR director, Liu Yiyi was naturally no slouch in the art of conversation either.
Walking beside them, Su Yunzhou marveled silently. This was the true art of speaking!
Just then, a pleasantly surprised female voice called out from behind.
"Mr. Su! What a coincidence!"
Following the voice, they saw a woman with dark red hair strolling over. She wore a long white traditional Chinese dress and held a folding fan in her hand. Her walk was like a swaying willow in the wind, mesmerizing the onlookers and drawing their eyes inevitably to the sway of her hips.
A sudden, inexplicable sense of crisis welled up in Liu Yiyi. As a fellow woman, her sharp instincts picked up on one thing immediately: this woman was not simple.
Annie walked gracefully up to Su Yunzhou, a trace of delight in her eyes. "What? We just met yesterday, and you’re already pretending not to know me today?"
Feeling the burning, suspicious gaze of Liu Yiyi on him, Su Yunzhou replied bluntly, "Your description isn’t quite accurate. I’d say I rejected you yesterday, and I didn’t know you in the first place."
If it had been any ordinary woman, hearing a man speak like this would have certainly caused her to look displeased or fly into a rage. But Annie had been rolling around in the vanity fair for years and possessed a wealth of experience. Smiling radiantly, she said, "Mr. Su, you truly are a fascinating man."
Su Yunzhou wasn’t particularly fond of this kind of seductive woman. He had to admit she was very beautiful, but he simply had no interest in her type.
"What exactly do you want?"
Annie smiled faintly and shook her head. "I’m just having a casual meal here. I saw you and came over to say hello, that’s all."
"Casual meal?" Liu Yiyi repeated in her mind. She sized up this alluring woman in the qipao, a flurry of thoughts popping into her head.
Seeing the atmosphere souring, Secretary Zhang stepped forward to smooth things over. "Mr. Su, it’s about time for our reservation."
Su Yunzhou nodded. "Alright! Let’s go then."
Annie smiled and naturally fell into step with them. "What a coincidence! Our film crew is also having a celebration banquet upstairs. We can head up together."
Liu Yiyi knitted her lovely brows.
This woman was even more thick-skinned than she’d imagined. And thick-skinned women usually thrived in this society. Coupled with her exceptional looks and figure, it would be easy for her to succeed in whatever she did.
Inside the spacious elevator, Annie smiled. "Coincidentally, I’m heading to the top floor too."
Su Yunzhou twitched his mouth but said nothing.
The elevator ascended and quickly arrived at the top floor.
A highly distinctive Chinese garden restaurant appeared before their eyes. One look at the landscaping revealed it was the work of a master. The clusters of flowers were perfectly arranged, with each blossom meticulously placed to embody the beauty of nature.
There was a beautiful pond by the entrance, where a uniform school of red koi fish swam leisurely.
The standard for the waitstaff was undeniably on par with flight attendants. Four receptionists stood by with beaming smiles. They were all of similar height, and though their figures and facial features varied, each had her own unique charm that was a delight to the eyes.
Standing nearby was a man wearing a trendy vest and a backward baseball cap.
He was chatting with the receptionists, but upon seeing Annie, he immediately waved a greeting. However, his gaze suddenly froze, landing on Liu Yiyi, who was further back.
These two women—one like fire, the other like water—walking side by side created a striking clash of styles that was incredibly eye-catching.
If some badass could conquer both of these women at the same time, he would be an absolute legend.
Unfortunately for him, he hadn’t even managed to conquer Annie yet.
This ravishing woman wasn’t just well-endowed; she was also incredibly smart. She seemed easy to get along with, but in reality, her words and actions were completely airtight.
At this thought, he suddenly felt like a bit of a failure. He thought, "I am a dignified director of a major web movie, yet I haven’t even managed to sleep with the second female lead. This won’t do! Tonight, I must hit a home run!"
Annie stepped forward and greeted him, "Director Zhong, what are you doing out here?"
Director Zhong’s beady little eyes radiated immense greed. He raked his gaze over Annie and said, "I was waiting for you to come up, of course!"
GIGGLE. Annie smiled faintly, thinking to herself, "I don’t believe a word you say." She gave a light nod to Su Yunzhou’s group, as if to say that she really did come up here to eat.
"Mr. Su, see you around!"
Su Yunzhou didn’t reply. He and Liu Yiyi followed Secretary Zhang inside.
Director Zhong watched the beautiful young woman leave before his gaze returned to Annie. "Let’s go! Everyone’s pretty much here!"
The two of them entered the restaurant. Director Zhong was a regular and led Annie straight toward the private dining area. Coincidentally, out in the hallway, they spotted Su Yunzhou’s group turning into the innermost section of the private rooms.
Director Zhong raised an eyebrow. "Annie, were those people earlier your friends?"
"You could say that!" Annie replied casually.
"Then your friends have some serious connections!"
"Why do you say that?"
Director Zhong’s little eyes darted around. He looked toward the corner area up ahead and said, "That’s a private zone over there. Only highly influential bosses can own those private rooms.
"Every single room is a symbol of status and power. Many entrepreneurs fight tooth and nail just to secure a spot, but those few rooms have essentially all been claimed by Rongcheng’s top ten entrepreneurs."
Hearing this, a look of surprise appeared on Annie’s face.
This man was becoming more and more mysterious.
From his dazzling charisma when singing at the Pharmaceutical Factory Livehouse, to rejecting the sky-high contract offered by her guy best friend, and now, to his current dealings initiated to help that same guy best friend—he was growing increasingly unfathomable in her mind. Yet, she had to admit, this made him all the more alluring.
Looking at the private rooms ahead that represented ultimate status, Annie revealed a faint smile.
"Director Zhong, I believe it won’t be long before you have a place in there, too."
Director Zhong chuckled. This woman really had a way with words. "I’ll take your blessing. I’ll strive to treat you to a meal in there in the days to come." He placed a heavy emphasis on the words "to come."
Annie felt a surge of distaste in her heart, but she maintained her charming smile and said, "With your talent, Director Zhong, that day is sure to come soon..."
Director Zhong’s eyes lit up. What a wonderful use of the phrase "to come." He definitely had to make it happen with her tonight.
"Let’s go! Everyone’s about here. Care for a few drinks in a bit?"
"I... I’m a lightweight when it comes to drinking!"
The two chatted and laughed as they walked toward their private room, yet deep desires lurked in both their hearts.
This was the vanity fair in all its minute-to-minute reality; one careless slip, and you would be entirely entangled by desire.
