Chapter 1819: A Pleasant Surprise

Two days passed quickly, and suddenly it was morning.

Trevor and Janelle woke up early, had breakfast, and walked into Carlotta Sterling’s hospital room with flowers.

The nurse had already dressed her in a beautiful dress and styled her hair. Everyone was in a good mood, as she was finally being discharged.

For the medical staff, it was also a great sense of accomplishment.

Having always worn hospital clothes, once Carlotta changed her outfit, she also changed her mood.

"Sister Sterling, you look really good today!" Janelle Mills handed the flowers to her and gave her a big hug, "You look much better than yesterday."

Carlotta was indeed very happy, "Finally, I can be discharged. From now on, I will definitely continue exercising, take extra care of my body, and have regular check-ups."

Trevor deliberately postponed his work today; his tall frame conveyed a particularly gentle presence, also feeling in a good mood.

The discharge procedures were completed, and Carlotta was ready to leave, yet Nathan Mills was nowhere to be seen.

What’s going on with him? Carlotta couldn’t help but glance towards the door, and Janelle immediately noticed her thoughts.

"By the way, Old Mills has something to attend to today and can’t make it." Janelle told her.

"Oh, I see." Carlotta felt a little disappointed for no apparent reason but quickly adjusted, "Shall we go?"

"Welcome Sister Sterling, to being discharged!" Janelle happily linked her arm.

Just as everyone was about to step out, Ian Shelby appeared at the door in a white work uniform, looking calmly at Carlotta with a slight smile at the corner of his lips, "Congratulations on your discharge." He was just passing by, "Remember to rest after going home."

"Thank you, Dr. Shelby." Carlotta replied, ever since she knew he was Janelle’s brother, she found him increasingly pleasing to the eye.

Ian’s gaze toward Janelle was also full of boundless warmth.

Janelle, holding Carlotta’s arm, wore a faint smile, and soon, Ian was called away.

They stepped out of the hospital room and formally discharged.

Trevor drove the car, while Janelle accompanied her mother in the back seat, chatting away, when Carlotta suddenly realized something was amiss looking out the window, "Where are we going?"

It wasn’t to the small villa, nor Trevor’s place...

Trevor answered softly, "To Uncle Mills’ house."

"Why go there? Isn’t he busy with work?" Carlotta didn’t want to bother him, so she quickly said, "Let’s turn around ahead."

But how could Trevor listen to her?

At this point, Janelle started to reassure her, "He’s not busy at the company; he’s busy at home."

"At home?"

"Yes, maybe he’s prepared a big feast waiting for you to come back." Janelle Mills leaned her head contentedly against her shoulder.

Carlotta suddenly understood something, with a sweet feeling in her heart.

Old Mills didn’t come to the hospital to pick her up; was he planning to give her a warm welcome?

So she didn’t insist on Trevor making a U-turn.

At the Mills family’s yard, the most dazzling sight was the vast blooming roses. Recently, the temperature had risen, and the flowers were thriving, blooming eagerly.

Nathan Mills wore a black suit, a white shirt underneath, and even had a bow tie, looking as if he had dressed up meticulously.

He stood in the yard, waiting nervously.

Behind him were a few company executives, his close friends.

Among the flowers, there stood a young man not far away, strikingly handsome with a refined and gentlemanly aura.

He is Julian Hawthorne, who came along with his mother Lana Montgomery. These beautiful rose varieties were brought over from his family’s garden.

Having thrived and blossomed, Hawthorne’s mother also shared many tips.

Hawthorne’s mom and Carlotta are close friends, so on this important day, she couldn’t be absent.

From afar, Nathan Mills, who had been constantly watching the distance, saw Trevor’s car approaching slowly.
