Chapter 1811: Dear Ones Getting Along Well

"You must miss him a lot, right?" Everett Morgan sighed lightly, feeling that life is hard to have everything, "Fortunately, transportation is developed now, so it’s easy for him to come back, and it’s easy for you to come over."

"Yes." Bertie expressed again to them, "As long as the children have a good relationship, it doesn’t matter where they settle."

After taking a sip of his drink, he added, "Ian Shelby’s mother passed away many years ago, so today I represent both father and mother. Thank you for accepting and supporting Ian Shelby, and thank you for entrusting Jocelyn to him without worry."

Bertie was truly touched; he didn’t show a trace of royal airs and raised his glass once again, "Thank you."

Everett Morgan and Jasmine also raised their glasses, genuinely moved after an afternoon of conversation and understanding. They felt the kindness and sincerity of this old father.

With Jocelyn marrying into such a family, she certainly won’t be wronged, which put them at ease.

The elders clinked glasses while dining, without any restraint or formality, rather like old friends who hadn’t seen each other for a long time, getting along well; all for the sake of the children.

Jasmine also told him, "In the past, we were against Ian Shelby being with Jocelyn, thinking he was too busy, unable to take care of Jocelyn, and not suitable as a marriage partner."

"But later, through interaction, we realized he is indeed an exceptionally outstanding and rare talent, hoping Jocelyn would understand his career and appreciate his hard work more."

All misunderstandings have been resolved, and everything is moving in a positive direction.

About twenty minutes later, headlights shone in, and Ian Shelby parked the car in the yard.

After Jocelyn and he got out of the car, they both walked towards the living room; Jocelyn was actually a bit worried that things might fall apart.

Can the King communicate well with ordinary people? Will there be an insurmountable divide?

Upon entering, she realized her judgment was wrong, and a harmonious scene unfolded before her eyes.

The younger generation greeted the three elders, Jocelyn still referring to Bertie as King.

The elders, upon seeing the young couple holding hands, couldn’t help but smile with blessings.

"Father, why didn’t you tell me in advance that you were coming to Riventhal?" Ian Shelby was actually quite concerned; his father had just recently recovered.

"I know you’re busy, and I didn’t want to disturb you." Bertie was very happy to see his son, plus today’s visit had been very fruitful, "I came here to meet Jocelyn’s family elders; everything is settled."

"Then let me take you to my place, spend the night with me." Ian Shelby released Jocelyn’s hand and turned to look at her, "Let’s meet for a morning run, rise early; I’ll come to pick you up."

"Okay." She was considerate, always with an air of grace, "See you tomorrow, and take care on the way home."

Then Ian Shelby said goodbye to the Morgan family elders, leaving the living room with his father.

Out of courtesy, everyone escorted them to the yard, watched as they got into the car, and waved them off into the distance.

In the verdant yard, night had quietly fallen.

Jasmine turned to the girl beside her, gently stroking her long hair, and said, "Your father-in-law is so down-to-earth, compassionate, and sensible, without a trace of royal airs."

"After all, he is the King." Jocelyn Morgan had interacted with him before; although he was unwell at the time, he was certainly no muddleheaded old man, "His stature is absolutely incomparable to ordinary people."

"He is a respectable good father," Jasmine confirmed, increasingly reassured about the marriage.
