Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer
Chapter 1409 - 551: Mastering the Crown Level Treasure (3)
The crowd retreated a few steps, then stared closely at Alka inside the transparent crystal, and the Gemstone on his chest.
As Alka took control of the Treasure—
An invisible ripple swept out around them.
But interestingly, none of them seemed to notice a thing.
"So taking control of a Crown Level Treasure doesn’t cause any kind of impact on the surroundings?"
Jason said, a bit surprised.
He’d thought using a Crown Level Treasure would affect the surroundings even more dramatically than a Scepter Level one.
"No... look around." Julia’s eyes widened, as if she’d sensed something absolutely outrageous.
Hearing that, They looked around.
Island.
The Island beneath their feet was floating in midair.
No.
It was the seawater supporting the Island that had vanished; right now, the Ocean around the Island had a hemispherical depression.
The seawater inside that depression was gone.
But this environment only lasted a few seconds before the seawater instantly returned.
As if it had never disappeared at all.
"Vanished? Or was it just some sort of Illusion Technique hiding it?" Jason asked, torn between shock and doubt.
Julia shook her head. "It did vanish, but now it’s back."
She’d just felt it clearly: it truly wasn’t there, it wasn’t some kind of illusory trick.
She’d just finished speaking.
Juanlu shouted, "My Treasure is gone!"
The three little spheres that always floated around him had disappeared.
And it wasn’t just the spheres—his staff-like Treasure was gone too.
The problem was, while the spheres were outside, the staff was inside his body.
A Treasure vanished, pulled right out of his body?
Yet just as They noticed it, the Treasure came back.
For a moment Juanlu even thought his senses had been fooled and nothing had actually vanished.
Then the things around them kept blinking out of existence and back in again.
Sight, equipment, air, temperature, patches of sky.
All sorts of strange things, along with things They hadn’t even noticed, kept disappearing and reappearing.
Until the radiance faded.
The crystal began to crack.
"Crack."
With a shattering sound, the crystal broke into pieces all over the ground, and Alka stood up from within.
Lucilia shot out of his body in an instant, turning into her soul-form.
She looked to be in decent condition.
Seeing this scene.
The crowd immediately gathered around.
"Thanks, all of you." Alka looked at Them and said with a smile.
"Next time, try not to do anything this dangerous again."
Alka chuckled when he heard that.
"I know you’ve got a ton of questions, a lot you want to ask and find out. But give me a moment first—let’s deal with the main problem." Alka said with a smile.
Then he closed his eyes and stood where he was.
He had just taken control of a Crown Level Treasure.
But he’d done it at a distance, so now he needed to use his own soul and his newly regained body to thoroughly repair things.
After quickly clearing out some hidden dangers, Alka finally opened his eyes again.
"Now it’s fine."
"So... this Treasure really suits you?" Chadite asked from the side.
To be honest, he was a bit puzzled. It had just... worked out that smoothly?
Because They had all seen the scene of Alka taking control of the Treasure; there hadn’t been any sign of rejection.
They’d thought Alka would have to suppress the power of his other Treasures and forcibly seize control of this Crown Level Treasure to deal with the current emergency situation.
But his performance just now had been flawless.
Hearing that.
Seeing Their expressions, Alka said:
"You all know my Treasure system is a mess, right?"
They nodded slightly.
Everyone knew that.
"The system is chaotic, but there’s a faint, mutual compatibility running through it.
Which means there aren’t many higher-tier Divinities that fit this chaotic system—but there are still a few."
Alka said with a grin.
Then he pointed to his own eyes.
All of this was what he’d seen with his own eyes.
He stretched out his palm.
Floating above his hand was the crystal that had just been embedded in his chest.
This crystal was semi-transparent, flickering as if half of it might vanish at any moment.
"This actually isn’t a Treasure at all, but a Divine Essence. A Crown Level Divine Essence manifests externally as a solid, crystalline object."
Just like Holy Grail Level manifests as colored spheres, Scepter Level as bizarre shapes, and Crown Level as solid crystals.
"So... you directly took control of the Divinity itself, without needing a vessel as a medium?"
Simon asked from the side.
Alka shook his head. "Because a Crown Level Treasure isn’t some intangible existence; it has a physical solid form.
If my strength were only at the Sixth Stage or the Seventh Stage, I absolutely couldn’t withstand direct Divinity, so I’d need a vessel.
Even at the Eighth Stage, if I hadn’t already taken control of five Treasures of other Levels, it still wouldn’t be enough to bear it.
But since I’m at the Eighth Stage and have collected the rest of the Treasures, I can use my body itself to carry the Divinity, filling in the final piece of the puzzle."
After listening to Alka’s explanation.
Simon nodded.
He more or less understood.
In the end, it all came down to the strength of the body.
As long as your physical body is strong enough, you’re just like those Divine beings of the Golden Era—yourself is a Treasure.
Like Ulu Liwus, for example.
