Chapter 593: Chapter 592: Finally taking action against the Sun Base 9
With the psychologist with them who had given psychological hints to most of their subordinates, a lot of the people that remained still faithfully followed their instructions even though they clearly knew that only those core leaders and a few of them would be able to run successfully if that happened.
Seeing their opponents that kept blocking their way, Treyton could only say that the psychologist was truly amazing and terrifying.
All of the people around them were also criminals who had been caught before or people who had turned into criminals after the apocalypse began, but most of them still follow the command of the psychologist, which is amazing as he managed to let all those lawless people die for him—which was also why it was terrifying.
The men who could immediately discard people and other colleagues with them to survive could actually give up their own safety just because of the psychologist, which makes him more terrifying.
He had known that the psychologist had good skills as he had even caused mass suicide before, but it seemed that his ability had further developed.
Those subordinates of theirs certainly don’t have just weak wills, as they were also criminals, but the psychologist still managed to give a lot of hints and obvious hypnosis so all those people followed his words.
So, instead of the base leader and the doctor, Treyton wanted to get rid of the psychologist first.
The ability of the psychologist probably further improved after the apocalypse began, and his power is probably related to the mind; that’s why Treyton wanted to eliminate him first, as he was the most dangerous of them all.
The power of the base leader and the doctor were manageable, as they only have metal and fire abilities, and they also have people with those powers, so those two won’t be able to cause too much trouble for them even if they managed to escape.
However, the psychologist had to be dealt with because Treyton could see that the power of the psychologist still had a lot of potential for possible growth, and Treyton couldn’t allow such a thing to happen.
If the psychologist managed to run away and survive, he would certainly be more terrible to deal with in the future because of his ability and skills, which could help him amass a lot of people to be his subordinates or shields without too much problem.
If the psychologist had been a good person and not a criminal, then Treyton would certainly invite him to the team, as his ability was very useful and better to have it with them than to leave it to other teams.
However, the psychologist was really a criminal who had a lot of crimes on his head already. The psychologist could already command those criminals to do their bidding, and most of them weren’t even resistant to his commands, which shows how powerful he had become in just a year after the apocalypse had begun.
With his ability, he certainly could let people infiltrate different places to spy or cause more trouble. With such a method, he could certainly deal a hard blow to different places, including big bases, as it would be hard to filter out those people; it would be hard to tell anything different unless they encountered the hint or when they’re finally given orders to take action.
In fact, without the psychologist, the Sun Base—that’s full of criminals and other wrongdoers—probably wouldn’t have been quiet, and there would have probably been a lot of people thinking of usurping the leadership.
So, it wouldn’t have stayed peaceful with the core leaders on top and the others below.
In time, there would certainly have been a lot of accidents that might have happened, and it would trigger the collapse of the Sun Base itself.
Because even though the two other leaders were powerful in their own way, they couldn’t have fully controlled a lot of people to listen to them properly without too many questions if it wasn’t so for the psychologist with them.
Treyton doesn’t know what the psychologist wanted, as he had been willing to serve the Sun Base leader and hadn’t appeared in front of the base with his power identity, but he was certainly very dangerous.
And with time, the psychologist’s ability would certainly grow stronger, so his restrictions on distance and the numbers of people he could use would probably become more relaxed and he could do more.
So, the psychologist could not be allowed to survive and cause any more trouble for them in the future, even if they risked letting the other two core leaders of the Sun Base run away. He had already emphasized in their past meetings that they had to prioritize dealing with the psychologist compared to the other people in the Sun Base, including the other leaders, so once those people wanted to run away, the other members reacted quickly and wanted to deal with the psychologist quickly.
Most of the other members quickly focused on dealing with the people that were blocking the psychologist, while Zam, Liam, and a few others were left to deal with the other two core leaders of the Sun Base.
As for him, he also focused on dealing with the psychologist, and most of his lightning bolts were aimed at the psychologist, only hurling a few of those lightning bolts at the Sun Base leader and the doctor.
The psychologist also noticed that he was being targeted, so he quickly called for more people while trying his best to move farther away.
Treyton and the others wouldn’t allow the psychologist to run away, so even though a lot of people wanted to block their way—even at very close range—they didn’t stop their abilities from attacking the place where the psychologist was at.
The other two base leaders also knew that the psychologist was being targeted, and it’s obvious that the psychologist was also very important to them as they even tried helping out. Unfortunately, they couldn’t help at all because Zam and Liam were facing them.
