Next up were the awards for Best Director and Best Screenplay, both of which were swept by the same production team. After a few rounds, it was time for Best Actor and Actress, and Best Supporting Actor and Actress.

Until the names were announced, nothing was certain.

And then there were the judges’ votes—those were what truly mattered.

"Please welcome President Evan Fairchild."

Evan Fairchild walked onto the stage, and his powerful presence seemed to alter the very atmosphere. A hush fell over the audience, both on stage and off.

"The winner for Best Supporting Actor is Wyatt Lynch," Evan Fairchild announced, his tone as flat and unwavering as an emotionless AI.

Wyatt Lynch, whose name had been suddenly called, looked pleasantly surprised. He quickly got to his feet and headed for the stage.

Seeing Evan Fairchild standing motionless, the host had no choice but to step in and smooth things over, handing the trophy to Wyatt Lynch himself.

Evan Fairchild clearly had no intention of interacting with anyone, so the host simply gave the microphone to Wyatt Lynch for his acceptance speech.

The moment the speech concluded, Evan Fairchild picked up the next envelope and drew out the card.

A hint of a smile touched his eyes the moment he saw the name on the card.

"The winner for Best Supporting Actress is... Melody Monroe." He looked in Melody Monroe’s direction.

He said the name "Melody Monroe" with a distinct softness.

It took Melody Monroe a full three seconds to register that her name had been called. She then immediately stood up and walked toward the stage.

Evan Fairchild’s gaze never left her.

As Melody Monroe lifted her skirt to walk onto the stage, Evan Fairchild noticed a prop from the previous musical number blocking her path. He strode over and kicked it aside.

He then moved behind Melody Monroe, lifting the train of her dress.

He only let go once she was standing at the front of the stage.

His actions made him seem like a completely different person from the cold, aloof man he’d been moments ago.

If people hadn’t seen it with their own eyes, they would’ve sworn the great President Evan Fairchild had been possessed.

’Did Melody Monroe really have that kind of power? To make even Evan Fairchild bow at her feet?!’

"Are you surprised to win this award?"

The host was at a loss for words.

’Is this the infamous double standard in action?’

’President Fairchild, you’re *President Fairchild*!’

"I’m very surprised. Thank you to the esteemed judges, thank you to my fans, and thank you to Director Wallace for his trust and Mr. Langdon for his help during the shoot. This award doesn’t belong to me alone."

Evan Fairchild felt a sour knot in his stomach. She had thanked so many people, but not him.

’It was as if he had nothing to do with it at all.’

"Actually, there’s one more person who is the most important of all. He has always been my strongest pillar of support. With him, I feel like I can fly. That person... is my son."

"I apologize for taking up a few minutes of your time. Ever since my child’s identity was exposed the day before yesterday, this has been a topic of heated discussion. I want to make one thing clear: I do have a son. He is my biological son. And that is not a crime. Why shouldn’t I have a child? Why can’t I have one? The only reason I kept his existence private was to protect him, to allow him to grow up without being hounded by the public. Three days from now, I will hold a press conference in Jansburg. I will clarify everything regarding my son then. Thank you."

Melody Monroe’s decision to announce this on stage caught everyone completely by surprise.

The voting had ended and the awards were settled. What everyone cared about most now was the juicy gossip about her secret child.

Many people on stage turned their eyes to Evan Fairchild, eager to see his reaction to this news. But he just stood there, as calm and composed as ever, his expression unchanging.
