"What did they change it to?" someone immediately asked.

"It’s been changed to a pre-recorded format, just like other variety shows. It’ll be produced first and then broadcast one episode at a time. This will be a lot more relaxing for everyone, and the filming schedule won’t be a full month. We can shorten it to about seventeen or eighteen days."

After Felix Hughes finished speaking, the conference room immediately filled with hushed chatter.

"Everything else will proceed as originally agreed. If anyone wishes to withdraw, you may do so now. It will be a mutual decision, so there will be no issue of breach of contract," Felix Hughes added.

"You all have one day to consider it. We’ll meet back here tomorrow at four in the afternoon." With that, Felix Hughes was the first to leave.

As Melody Monroe walked out of the conference room, Keith Coleman immediately hurried over. "Melody, I heard the show is being pre-recorded now. Are you still going to do it?"

"Yes," Melody answered firmly.

Keith Coleman: "..."

’He’d been hoping he could persuade her to go back. That way, he could at least make up for his blunder.’

’Things had been so tough for him lately.’

’Whenever he saw President Fairchild, his legs would start to shake, and he wouldn’t dare say more than a few words.’

Melody pushed open her door. Hearing the sound, Bunny, who was wearing a little pink princess dress, immediately came running over. Melody quickly scooped her up.

"Just look at you, you clearly just woke up. What are we going to do with you? Are you ever going to grow up? If you get too big, you won’t be so cute and cuddly anymore," Melody said, stroking Bunny’s head.

"It’s fine. Once it’s grown, you can eat it," Keith Coleman chimed in.

Melody shot Keith Coleman a glare. "Why are you men all like this? Is the pork at the market not good enough? Why are you all eyeing my little one here?"

Keith Coleman: ’Looks like President Fairchild wants a taste of pork, too.’

"Rose Shaw... Why did she go back to the company? When is she coming back? Don’t get me wrong, I’m just asking."

"She probably won’t have time to come back."

"She’s your agent. Why isn’t she here with you? What does that business with Eileen Scott have to do with her anyway?"

"It was President Sterling’s decision."

"Christopher Sterling? Rose just does whatever he says? It’s not like she sold her life to him. With her skills, Rose could leave Stellaris and have a great career anywhere."

"Rose won’t leave Stellaris. At least, not right now."

"Anything Christopher Sterling can offer her, another company could too! Besides, it’s not like I see him giving her any special treatment."

Melody smiled and stroked Bunny’s head.

’That’s true. What has Christopher Sterling ever given Rose, aside from a world of pain?’

’But he is also Rose’s salvation.’

’Only Rose herself knows what she truly went through during those seven sunless days and nights. Christopher Sterling was the one who rescued her from that hell.’

’Still, the one thing that gave her peace of mind was that Rose was engaged to Felix Hughes.’

’Even though Rose had gone back, at least she was being rational when it came to her feelings.’

’Perhaps all she needed was a little more time.’

Melody Monroe’s phone suddenly rang. She immediately put Bunny down; it was the special ringtone she’d set for Ian.

"Mom!"

"Sweetheart, aren’t you supposed to be in school right now?" Melody checked the time, finding it odd. ’Why would Ian be calling her at this hour?’

"Mom, I’m in Somberfell City! I’m in the same hotel as you. I’m with Mr. Fairchild."

Melody’s heart leaped into her throat.

’Evan Fairchild didn’t leave? And he brought Ian with him?!’
