Train Survival: I Can Evolve Everything!
Chapter 886: Leaving the Fifty-Third Station
Two weeks later.
"Huff, huff... Damn it! Where did these invaders even come from?"
City Lord's mansion.
A man struggled to crawl out from the ruins.
He was the ruler of this city-state, and the owner of everything in this city.
Shops, tall buildings, the sky, bricks and stones, water sources, air...
Everything in this city belonged to him.
"I can't die, I still need to live, I still need to keep ruling. Right, as long as I take that thing, I can make a comeback!"
He manipulated a small steam machine to dig into the ground.
Following the location in his memory, he wound his way through the underground passages of the collapsed City Lord's mansion to the very bottom level.
There was a heavy iron door here, which could only be opened using both his iris and fingerprint together.
"Huff, huff... No matter where these invaders came from, as long as it's still there, I'll be able to kill my way back sooner or later! It's just a pity about those lowly commoners. Damn it, my losses, I'll take them all back from them when the time comes!"
He was just about to enter the door when he inexplicably heard an extremely faint sound of chains.
And when he instinctively looked toward the direction of the sound.
There.
There was nothing?
Had he misheard?
He didn't think much about it, and didn't dare to think much about it.
Taking three steps at once, he quickly ran toward the door.
Except, he wouldn't be able to run for much longer.
Rumble!
A terrifying mechanical roar came from above.
Piercing through the soil.
A scorching Flame Spear tore straight through the heavy alloy gate ten meters thick above his head.
Augustine's cold crimson eyes fixed on him.
Eve came flying over.
Lock-on rings rose beneath its feet.
"The Overlord has ordered that this person be hung on a streetlamp."
Lancelot and the Wuzhong Legion used metal to pile up an Execution Platform shaped like a streetlamp.
Augustine seized him, and amid those piercing screams, looped steel cables around him and hung him beneath that "streetlamp."
Bedivere very thoughtfully flew into the air, serving the role of the lightbulb.
As long as the surviving people in the entire city raised their heads, they could see this fellow's miserable state.
He actually wasn't weak, after all, he was the hunting target of a Level 10 Station World.
But in the process of fighting Armed Fear and the others, all his strength had been completely exhausted.
Being hung up so easily was, well, not surprising at all.
At this moment.
Ye Qiyan was standing on Armed Fear's shoulder.
The proud mech had already regained its confidence.
But it would no longer, like on the day it was first born, feel disdain toward Ye Qiyan's machines.
After all, there were still plenty it couldn't beat.
It released its armor, and its body gradually shrank.
Letting Ye Qiyan, who was carrying WALL-E, stand in the center of its palm and be delivered to the ground.
"Is this the place? WALL-E?"
Not long ago, WALL-E had sent it a prompt requesting to return.
The battle had already ended long before.
But the target that needed to be hunted was only hunted today.
The reason was simply to pass the time.
After all, WALL-E still hadn't returned.
He had placed a Justice Mark on that city-state lord, meaning that although the fellow had escaped, he had always been under Ye Qiyan's control.
The moment WALL-E sought to return.
That was his day of death.
The alloy layer beneath the ground was dug open by Augustine and the others.
Ye Qiyan brought WALL-E down below.
That doorway was already useless.
The item stored behind it was directly presented before Ye Qiyan.
It was a mass of steam.
Steam in the literal sense.
[Source of Steam (No Level)]
[Category: Civilization Guidance]
[Can be placed in any world to set that world's tone as a [Steam] civilization]
[Can also be used to manufacture any type of steam machinery product, or to create a steam energy conversion device]
[Note: This is a failed product created by ??, locked to a single world's civilization]
"A failed product?"
Ye Qiyan touched that scalding mass of steam and withdrew it into the Storage Unit.
"Two question marks, so it's some pinnacle from the Wasteland?"
WALL-E lightly poked his calf, waiting with those big eyes looking up at him expectantly.
"It's a very useful treasure. Thanks, WALL-E."
He bent down and rubbed WALL-E's shell.
Something like setting a world's tone had pros and cons, but that was obviously for a world.
For him, it was better to save it for making some kind of item later.
"Oh right, there's also the hunting reward."
Ye Qiyan snapped his fingers.
The pure white Train drove toward him, beginning its preparations to leave the station.
He walked beneath that corpse.
The reward after the hunt had already finished dropping.
[Bully's Staff of Exploitation (Level 10)]
[Use on units of a lower level than you; during battle, exploit 50% of their stamina cap]
[The opponent can resist the exploitation through self-will/stamina/spirit/courage and other positive emotions]
[Note: Race·Human, has no conventional level, so judgment is randomly conducted based on Train Level/spirit/stamina/will]
"...What the hell is this thing?"
Ye Qiyan facepalmed speechlessly, forcefully suppressing the urge to throw this thing away, and tossed it into the Storage Unit.
He couldn't possibly sell this thing.
Because his true Train Level was pathetically low.
And moreover, even if his level did rise in the future, this thing might not necessarily have any use.
Because true powerhouses were simply not something that so-called levels could judge.
The true function of this item was, just as its name suggested.
To bully and exploit the weak.
But could he really encounter ordinary weaklings?
Mm... Zhao Lin counted as one.
But he didn't need this thing to exploit that woman anyway.

"Forget it, maybe it'll come in handy sometime. It's at least a Level 10 item after all."
Ye Qiyan comforted himself with a couple of words, and just then the pure white Train came to a stop beside him.
"Time to leave."
No hesitation, no waiting.
Goodbye, this run-down city with its bizarre cuisine.
Boarding the Train, pressing the leave-station button.
The void appeared, the tracks extended.
All the surviving people in the city heard that steam whistle sound echoing between heaven and earth.
The giant mech-soldiers had vanished, and those moving buildings had all collapsed.
The City Lord who owned everything was hung on a streetlamp.
In other words...
"This is mine! Mine!"
The people began to fight over it.
From a single brick, to a single iron nail.
From power, to status.
Everything was about to undergo a complete reshuffle today.
A new order would appear sooner or later.
But without a single true powerhouse appearing, how long could this order last?
----
"Finally back."
Outside the train window, snow fell heavily.
Ye Qiyan glanced at the time.
More than two weeks' time, yet only four days had passed in the Wasteland.
This time ratio was indeed quite short.
It was different from what he had learned in the Chat Room, where normal Level 10 Station World time ratios were roughly around fifteen to one.
Was it luck?
Or was it because of Miatira?
He was more inclined toward the latter.
