Train Survival: I Can Evolve Everything!
Chapter 852: The Skeletal Current of Divine Monsters
Black and white, the sea of burial bones suspended in the air blocked the path ahead.
The bones within the sea did not resemble humanoid skeletons.
Instead, they looked more like various kinds of monsters.
To pass through this place, the Train would inevitably have to ascend the inverted peaks.
Within the ocean lurked monsters waiting for their moment to strike. Like those satellites, their bodies were covered in bizarre eyeballs, monitoring every movement beneath the sea.
They were guards, watching over the Golden Tribe's end.
Ye Qiyan did not hesitate. He drove the Train, activated the Boosted Derailment module, linked the Celestial Comet Drive to the Train's main body, and climbed the inverted peaks at maximum speed.
Gravity flipped.
The land became the sky.
He disguised the Train as a Divine Eye Monster and crossed this ocean of corpses and bones at full speed. But clearly, this was not going to be that simple.
The moment Ye Qiyan's Train touched the sea in the sky, every Divine Eye Monster monitoring the ground from within the sea turned to look.
He had been discovered.
Countless beams of deep blue light shot toward the Train.
Eternal Night Moon Silence, the bright moon rose high.
A moon appeared on the ground that had become the sky.
Moonlight radiated outward, intercepting all the beams.
Inside the Train, Ye Qiyan shook his head.
"Just as I thought. If I had chosen this path from the very beginning, it really would have been troublesome. Since I've been discovered, I'll just charge straight through."
He stopped maintaining the Train's disguise. The Imminent Demise Drill emerged, overclocked acceleration engaged, and beneath the moonlight, he pushed forward.
The withered bones in the sea tomb opened their [Eyes].
Eyes like divine pupils.
So they truly weren't the remains of the Golden Tribe, but rather... divine monsters that had invaded this world.
Of course.
Within this ocean, the countless bones, every single one of them, belonged to dead False Gods.
How many were there? Impossible to estimate.
What was their Divine Sequence?
From A to C, all of them were present.
They briefly restored themselves to their living forms. Though they still had no color, no names, and certainly no authorities.
But merely relying on their divine bodies was enough to make the Imminent Demise Drill struggle to break through.
"As expected of the Despair Platform. It really does live up to its name."
Ye Qiyan bared his teeth in a grin.
His five fingers pointed downward.
At the bottom of this sea.
A streak of dark golden radiance bloomed within this colorless world.
"The Hunt!"
[Transcend Divine Machine · Hunt-Patrol Mech-Dragon]
The roar of mechanical drive thundered across heaven and earth within this world that resembled a black-and-white silent film!
"Transcend Mode! Blast it all out!"
[Major Consumption Reduction] activated in tandem.
Beneath the ocean of corpses, countless specks of light materialized out of thin air, merging into The Hunt.
"ROAR!"
It shattered the ocean's restraints. The Overdrive Dragon opened its colossal maw before the countless False God remains ahead.
A warhead extended from its mouth.
At the same moment, the Ring of the Hunt at The Hunt's tail end flew up to a great height, as if seeking to completely envelop the entire ocean.
It began to rain.
Within this black-and-white ocean, a rain of pale golden light fell.
"FIRE!"
The warhead shot forth.
It landed among those False God remains.
A black hole erupted. Whether it was the ocean, the bones, or those Divine Eye Monsters, everything was violently dragged toward the center and crushed to pieces.
One second, two seconds... three seconds, four seconds!
Ye Qiyan expended all of his spirit, maintaining the Transcend Warhead for a full four seconds.
With each passing second, the destructive power of that black hole rose exponentially.
In four seconds, this sea of burial bones was devoured, a massive hole torn straight through it.
Many of those False God remains shattered from the impact, and a massive number of Divine Eye Monsters were also swallowed by that single strike.
But Ye Qiyan did not feel joy, because merely a few seconds later, even more bones and monsters, drawn by the commotion, converged upon the area.
Just how many of them had died here?
Perhaps all the False Gods of the A, B, and C grades currently in existence combined would not amount to even a fraction of what lay here.
Though these divine monsters' abilities in life were not as powerful as the False Gods of today.
But with their bodies reinforced by divinity, they were hardly trash.
"Tch... what a losing deal. So many of them, and not a single Divine Core to show for it."
The Train continued pushing forward, but the path carved open by The Hunt's strike was quickly blocked once more by even more monsters.
Countless powerful attacks rained down relentlessly.
But this time, the Imminent Demise Drill had used enough bones as fuel, and the Train's impact force had reached yet another new height.
However, at that very moment.
Deep within the sea, a pair of scarlet pupils snapped open.
Eve, perched atop the Train, suddenly detected an immense malice. She hurriedly transmitted a warning to Ye Qiyan.
And at this moment, directly beneath the overclocking Train, an enormous warning ring materialized.
Something beneath the sea surface could actually easily catch up to a Train currently running at more than twenty times its original maximum speed... and was even FASTER!?
[Demon Card · Arrogance]
Perspective shift.
Ye Qiyan gazed down at the Train from above.
Because of the moonlight's illumination, within the black-and-white ocean, an extremely colossal shadow was gradually enveloping his Train.
"You want to eat me? Then eat your fill."
He pressed a few buttons on the system interface.
[Train Armament · Overclocking Quake Shell] + [Friendly Landmines]
A massive amount of armament and ammunition plunged into the water. Not only that, but Ye Qiyan also had Eve retrieve all the Black Nether Fruits from the Treatment Compartment and toss them all out.
In an instant, the shadow beneath the sea surface became even more enraged.
Eve's weapon slots expanded simultaneously, activating Overdrive Star mode, unleashing ferocious firepower downward.
The path ahead was handled by The Hunt alone.
The shadow beneath the sea surface took damage, but these attacks were not enough to completely defeat it.
When a colossal fish with a single eye on its forehead, a body so massive its limits could not be seen, rose from beneath the water.
"ROAR!"
Its enormous maw clamped down hard on the Train's moonlight.
For the first time, cracks appeared in the moonlight that illuminated the Train.
At the same moment, the Divine Eye Monsters all released their powerful beams toward those cracks.
The Despair Platform. It was worthy of its name.
Perhaps he had come too early?
Perhaps he should have directly withdrawn the Train into the Matrix space, then escaped through the Anchor?
Or perhaps... he had long been prepared for the moment the moonlight would be shattered?
[Train Armament · Boundless Machine Armament]
[Binding Confirmed: Scoundrel]
[Shield Array Deployment]
[Divine Equipment · Harmonious Call]
[All Divine Core Armament abilities stacking, transferring to [Divine Core · Prism Shield]]
[Directive: DEFENSE, REFLECTION!]
Within the Armament Hangar, Scoundrel's form merged with the Train.
All the Divine Core Shields fused their power into one in that very instant.
The Prism Shield expanded, forming a second layer of defense just beneath that moonlight.
The beams struck it but failed to break through. And what awaited those monsters was a double reflection of the attacks they had released!
"BOOOOOM..."
Within this silent place of despair, a reflected assault erupted that was in no way inferior to The Hunt's four-second Transcend Warhead from moments ago.
For ten thousand meters in every direction, nothing remained.
The Prism Shield emitted black smoke.
Though it was only a B-grade God's Divine Core Armament, powered by multiple Divine Core Armaments and pushed into an overload state, it was enough to accomplish this once.
Now, the only thing blocking the path was that enormous single-eyed mutant fish that seemed to be suffering from having eaten too many Black Nether Fruits. From within its single eye, a humanoid upper body slowly rose up, its hands clutching its head, and from what could roughly be called its mouth organ.
It emitted extremely clumsy human speech.
"Race. Confirmed. Human. Exterminate."
"Really, there's no end to this."
Boosted Derailment could only last for one hour.
He couldn't waste too much time on this thing, and the other directions had already gathered even more divine monster remains.
Ye Qiyan took a bite of the Golden Apple, and was just about to summon Red Tears to deliver a sword strike to this thing.
When the Key to the Golden Tribe's treasure vault faded by another quarter of its color for the second time. Its sharp tip pointed in a direction, providing him guidance.
"That way, can I get through?"
He looked in that direction.
There, a frozen titanic wave towered.
It was also the place with the most divine monster remains.
"Anyway, there's no other road. So, let's give it a try."
