Tower of Endless: Death Granted Entry
Chapter 172: Joint Dinner
Moon stood amazed at the sudden declaration Zera made, saying he doesn’t deserve to be compared to that guy Moon deemed gay was enough to leave him speechless, but since he was Moon, he was far from being speechless.
He felt obligated to help the delusional Zera find out the reality of things. Learn more about himself and his master. How they were unaware of the nature of themselves made Moon feel pity for them, as well as a responsibility to guide the uneducated.
Moon, satisfied with his own generosity, said, ’My heart is bigger than the first and second floors combined.’ He thought to himself.
Before finally locking his eyes with Zera’s left eye, he shook his head first. "What are you talking about?" He leaned forward. "You both are disgustingly gay!"
Zera blinked once, his eye widened, and even his eyepatch nearly fell off his right empty eye socket. His neck stiffened, and a vein started to bulge all the way to his forehead.
He gritted his teeth so hard that a slight creaking sound radiated around his head.
Sigh~
Moon let out a helpless sigh. "You clueless idiots, it’s disgusting to look at your faces."
He shook his head. "Hmmm, now that I think about it, maybe I should let you stay here and eat with us." His smile returned, widening to a disturbing degree. "Maybe we can pay you a visit, considering you’re injured and all." He added while running his index finger over his right eye.
He turned to Dorbish, who was smiling softly. "Stay, I’ll bring us food." He offered before even knowing what Moon was about to say.
Moon pointed at Dorbish, who had yet to stand up, and said. "See this, you disgusting bastard? That’s a generous guy there." He educated.
"What do you want this time?" Dorbish asked, as if the entire play had nothing to do with him.
"Whatever you’re eating today?" Moon enjoyed all the food here, so he didn’t have any preferences. As long as it wasn’t food from the first floor, it was good food.
Dorbish was about to stand, but Zera, all of a sudden, "HH—"
Smack~
"Hush!" Moon said.
"Guh!"
Zera suddenly was about to raise his voice; Moon swiftly knocked his lower jaw back to where it belonged.
"Bruh, I’m about to eat; don’t ruin my mood." Moon patted his cheek. "If you raise your voice one more time, I’ll start with that upper row of teeth of yours, or should it be the lower one first?"
Zera swallowed hard.
Looking into Moon’s eyes. He could see it. The unwavering intent. If anything, Moon was not someone who threatened aimlessly, nor did it look like his first time doing something like this.
Dorbish shook his head and moved to bring the food.
Moon leaned back into his seat. "Sigh, I might lose my appetite at this rate." He lamented before grabbing one cheese cube and squeezing it whole into his mouth.
He started humming, "Now that works well." He unsealed the second cube and ate it, making sure he wouldn’t wait too long before Dorbish got back, for he was standing in a very long queue right now.
After waiting for a considerable amount of time, Zera sighed helplessly. He extended his spoon to return back to his food.
Slap~
"Bruh, what manners? Wait for us to eat together." Moon slapped his hand before reaching for the food. "What kind of bastard are you?"
Zera put his hand and spoon down helplessly but didn’t say anything. He instead stood up, ready to leave.
He gave up.
Staying any longer, holding onto the table meaninglessly. This was just his own stubbornness harming him.
Smack~
"Ugh!"
Once he stood, Moon kicked his foot from under the table. "Who said you can leave this joint dinner, you asshole?"
Moon scratched his head. "Or was it lunch?"
Moon toyed with him for as long as it took Dorbish to bring the food. Till Zera stopped moving, looking, moving his hands or doing anything at all.
Zera closed his left eye, rested his arms on his knees and lowered his head slightly, staying frozen in place for as long as needed till this nightmare finally ended.
After another considerable amount of time-
Ting~
Ting~
Two platters of food landed on the table; Moon exclaimed. "At fucking last, if we come here again we should never come on time again." He said as he brought a spoonful of food into his mouth.
Dorbish nodded. "Not like the food would get cold or anything." He added before waving his hand and dropping a few cheese cubes in front of Moon. "I brought you a few more in case."
"Damn mate, you’re quite the nice guy aren’t you?" Moon accepted them. "Thanks," with gratitude.
Dorbish nodded as he started eating.
Moon lifted his gaze off the food and looked at Zera. "You can eat now," Moon permitted him. "You’re honoured to have a meal with us."
With that said, Moon didn’t bother himself with Zera again and started eating and quietly enjoying his food.
Before long, all three of them were done eating. Moon even finished his stack of cheese cubes and was pretty full.
He patted his belly that was so full that it looked round. "Ah, life is good."
"Should we get going?" Dorbish asked, not sure if Moon had plans.
"Nah, let’s stay for a while." He pointed at his belly. "I need this to shrink a little first."
Dorbish nodded. "Makes sense." He agreed.
He pointed at Zera before he got any ideas. "You’re also staying." He said before he decided to leave. "Just be prepared; we’re having a drink in your room once we get moving." He added.
Zera’s eye twitched, but he didn’t say anything.
"We’re really going to tag to his place?" Dorbish asked, skeptical.
"Of course we are; for being a bitch of a bitch, he owes me a drink." Moon nodded with a very serious face. "You can go on your way if you don’t want to come," Moon added.
He raised his index finger. "But remember, you will miss your chance to have a free drink." He added.
Dorbish shrugged helplessly. "Guess I’ll enjoy my free drink then."
A few minutes later, Moon gestured for the three of them to get moving. He placed his hand around Zera’s shoulder, came closer to his ear, "When we get there, if there’s nothing to drink, I’ll drink your blood instead," and whispered.
Zera swallowed hard again. "I have some tea from." He said readily.
Moon nodded in satisfaction,
From start to finish, there were two watching the exchange closely. Since Moon brought Dorbish to Zera’s table till this moment.
One was wearing a white dress and a cloak; the other was shrouded under her black cloak completely.
From each side, he was being watched for two completely different reasons.
Yet, Moon did feel their gazes on him.
He turned around in every direction once, making eye contact with each of them. Shaking his head, he went on his way.
Thanks to that, the two of them were aware of the fact that they were watching the same person, and he was aware of it.
