Who is Kirin Zi?

Since birth, he has been arrogant, believing himself capable of opposing the heavens and the earth.

If his strength weren’t quite formidable, his attitude of having his eyes on top of his head would have made him the target of secret slander by countless others.

Few dare to openly challenge him.

Especially Bai Ze, who is known for his gentle temperament.

At this moment, he really stopped, leisurely waiting for Bai Ze to see what he could bring forth.

Bai Ze gritted his teeth and was about to transmit a message to him when a voice suddenly rang out from nearby.

"Kirin Zi, are you making things difficult for others again?"

The voice was cold and haughty; just by hearing it, one could feel it belonged to someone who had been in a high position for years.

Ayin looked over curiously, just in time to see a man and woman approaching together.

As she got a clear view of their appearance, she couldn’t help but slightly open her mouth.

Since her shape-shifting began, she had never seen beings with such remarkable features.

The person speaking earlier was evidently the man on the left, dressed in a golden robe.

His eyebrows and eyes were strong and handsome, his features rugged yet not coarse, his golden eyes seemingly holding infinite divine light, showcasing the charm of a mature man.

The woman on his right was wearing a fiery red robe, with eyebrows that were exquisitely alluring, slanted into the temples, her eyes slightly tilted, her gaze turning with the majesty of the world.

Their demeanor was intimate, their actions affectionate, clearly a pair of close Dao companions.

Standing in front of Bai Ze and Ayin, Kirin Zi’s expression changed upon hearing the man’s voice.

After seeing their forms and intimate gestures, his expression grew even darker.

Ayin was curious about the identities of the pair who were showing no regard for Kirin Zi. Her sleeve was tugged by Bai Ze.

Bai Ze nodded towards the exceptional Dao companions: "Dragon Ancestor and Phoenix Ancestor."

Ayin suddenly understood that these Dao companions were the Dragon Ancestor and Phoenix Ancestor, of birth rank equal to Kirin Zi.

Kirin Zi felt irritated when he saw the Dragon Ancestor.

All three were born at the same time, their bloodline and strength were nearly identical.

Yet, Kirin Zi was inherently outmatched by the Dragon Ancestor—he wasn’t as handsome as the Dragon Ancestor.

Though in the Vast Wilderness, strength is what matters most, and looks don’t concern many.

However, all being equal and both being kings of the Monster Race, people couldn’t help but compare the two.

Especially since Kirin Zi was not exceptionally generous, naturally he held a grudge.

But that wasn’t the most significant point.

The real reason Kirin Zi opposed the Dragon Ancestor was another matter.

He considered himself noble of bloodline, always seeking a Dao companion of equal birth.

And Phoenix Ancestor, also a king of the Monster Race, whether in bloodline, appearance, or Quasi-Saint strength, was his perfect choice.

However—

Phoenix Ancestor chose Dragon Ancestor.

He was already displeased with him, yet he was better looking than Kirin Zi and attracted more women.

If it were anyone else, they couldn’t tolerate it, let alone the narrow-minded Kirin Zi.

Thus, after his repeated provocations, within less than two hundred years, the entire Vast Wilderness knew about Kirin Zi’s discord with the Dragon and Phoenix Ancestors, also kings of the Monster Race.

As fate would have it, Kirin Zi held a grudge against the Dragon Ancestor specifically, but what could he do when Dragon and Phoenix Ancestors were Dao companions?

Until now, Phoenix Ancestor still doesn’t know about Kirin Zi’s former admiration towards her, only attributing his eccentric behavior to his penchant for troubling her Dao companion.
