Ayin was somewhat surprised.

Because during this long time, in this world, there were always only the silent sky and earth.

The whole world was eerily quiet, without a trace of vibrant energy.

She wanted to speak, wanted to shout out loud.

Watching those gray forms slowly, slowly, begin to spread around, Ayin eagerly anticipated what she was about to see—

"Ayin!"

The crisp voice of a young man woke her up.

She opened her eyes a bit dazed and saw Bai Ze’s graceful face.

"Hmm." She rubbed her eyes, finally noticing that the cave dwelling had already become bright.

Bai Ze glanced at her and clicked his tongue in wonder: "You really can sleep, I called you several times, and you didn’t hear."

Ayin just sat there in a daze.

Last night, did she have a dream?

But, what did she dream about?

She felt that the dream was very, very long, but when she thought about it carefully, she only felt the dream was blurry, completely unable to remember what she had dreamed about.

"What’s wrong with you?"

Bai Ze saw her looking lost, a bit worried.

Ayin came to her senses and hesitated: "I seem to have had a dream, but I can’t remember anything."

Bai Ze, upon hearing this, casually said: "For us with Innate Spiritual Bodies, once our cultivation is fully accomplished, dreams rarely occur. You’re still dreaming, surely because you haven’t been shape-shifted for long, and your Three Souls and Seven Spirits are not very stable."

He glanced at Ayin and handed her something: "Cultivate properly in the future, and this will naturally stop happening."

Ayin received it and saw it was a small white jade vial, with milky white liquid inside.

"I got this fine stuff with great difficulty from the foot of Mount Buzhou, it is most beneficial for the Divine Soul." He winked at Ayin.

Ayin smiled gratefully and, without doubt, drank it in one gulp.

Bai Ze watched the young girl trust him so, and couldn’t help but worry.

So easy to deceive, what if she encounters someone with ill intentions?

Ayin finished the liquid in the jade vial in one breath, savoring the taste: "Delicious."

Bai Ze looked at the vial with quite some heartache, thinking there is only that one place between heaven and earth with such good stuff, how could it not be delicious?

This item, even Quasi-Saints like the Ancestral Dragon and Ancestral Phoenix would carefully stash it away for crucial use.

Who drinks it like water?

Yet, someone spoils you like that!

Bai Ze envied her for a second, acting as if nothing had happened, and continued to lead Ayin southward.

He previously said he’d take Ayin on a tour of the Vast Wilderness, teaching her various spells along the way.

Ayin has great perception; what Bai Ze taught her never needed to be repeated, she could always remember clearly.

The two did not walk quickly, and came across a few people with malicious intent.

But Bai Ze was really not to be trifled with; after driving them away several times, fewer people came to disturb.

Until one day they met a tough cookie.

Blocking their way was a man in a black and gold robe, poised and majestic.

"A Thousand Threads of Fate Grass that has taken human form, that’s rare indeed." He clicked his tongue in wonder, eyeing Ayin.

Ayin instinctively hid behind Bai Ze, this man’s appraising gaze making her very uncomfortable.
