This Doctor Is Too Wealthy
Chapter 1293 - 822: Wishing Him Success in His New Job (2)
But just the day before being discharged from the hospital, this happened. Who do I even go to for reasoning?
Thinking about that unlucky kid, Du Heng couldn't help but sigh and wondered again whether he should just help pay off the debt for him.
But on second thought, Du Heng felt that the kid deserved it. This time, he should just leave him be and let him learn a lesson.
It's only been a few months of earning more money, and his whole being seemed to have drifted off.
Not only was he dating a girlfriend, but he was also being ambiguous with his assistant. In the end, this ambiguousness turned into trouble. You could only say he brought it upon himself.
If something like having ambiguous relationships had happened when he was still working at the hospital, it would have been utterly impossible.
Back then, he was earning just three or four thousand yuan a month, and life was tight.
Don't even mention having ambiguous relationships; he had to constantly worry about his girlfriend breaking up with him and his father-and mother-in-law turning against him.
Ah!
Money, gosh, it's such a damn good thing.
In the following days, Du Heng lost interest in going through that disease record anymore. Every day, apart from diligently completing his work at the hospital and school, he would have a one-hour video call with Wu Shengnan, looking at his wife and daughter.
That day, Director Wu finally returned from the meeting he had gone to, and Du Heng set aside a day to grade papers at school and prepare for the end of the semester.
This was Du Heng's first semester at the Capital University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, so he graded all the student examination papers personally.
Firstly, he didn't want others to gossip, and secondly, out of professional ethics as a teacher, he wanted to see how these students had learned under his guidance this semester.
Last winter vacation, Du Heng had graded the papers of Jinzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine College.
To be honest, after grading them, he felt quite disheartened.
Though not entirely hopeless, thinking of the meticulous efforts he put in that semester, yet the students couldn't even decipher the simplest tongue patterns, he had already given up much hope for teaching this class of students.
But this time, fortunately, the students of the Capital College of Traditional Chinese Medicine were far better than those from Jinzhou, both in quality and in study attitude.
Most importantly, it was the attitude towards learning that was worlds apart.
In fact, once in college, everything from before could be left behind. It could be said that this is a place where they start anew. Except for a very few students, everyone else starts from the same starting line.
But just one semester was enough for the gap created by the college entrance examination to manifest again among these people.
And the students of the Capital College not only surpassed Jinzhou students in intellect but, more crucially, they left Jinzhou students far behind in study attitude.
So this time, while grading papers, his mood was quite good, feeling that his efforts this semester were worthwhile.
He taught with a sincere heart, and the students learned with serious intent. He did not let the students down, nor did the students let his efforts go in vain, and that felt really good.
After a busy day, as everyone was getting ready to clock out, Du Heng finally finished grading all the papers. Even though he was exhausted, his mood was delightful.
However, looking at the freshly graded papers in front of him, Du Heng sighed gently in his heart: If nothing unexpected happens, when it's time to grade papers next semester, I'll probably end up like other teachers, just handing it over to the class monitor or some student.
"Is Mr. Du done with his work?"
Du Heng was still lost in his thoughts when suddenly someone spoke to him from the side. Turning his head, he saw that it was Director Zhao from academic affairs.
Du Heng chuckled, closed the red pen in his hand, and said, "Director Zhao, are you looking for me for something?"
Director Zhao glanced at the papers on Du Heng's desk, flipped through them casually, and said, "The results of Mr. Du's course are quite good."
"It's alright," he replied.
Director Zhao laughed heartily, then put down the papers in his hand and said, "If Mr. Du is done, head over to see Principal Wang. He has something for you."
When Du Heng heard it was Wang Pan looking for him, he knew his summer vacation task had arrived.
But he glanced at the papers on the desk and hesitated. He had already slacked off a whole day, completely neglecting hospital matters, just to finish grading these papers.
But as of now, he had only finished grading and hadn't tallied the scores. After all, what the academic office needed wasn't a pile of graded papers, but a compiled score sheet.
Asking him to find time to do it tomorrow, he certainly wouldn't have as much time as today.
With his wealth of experience, Director Zhao quickly saw what Du Heng was hesitating about and then chuckled, saying, "Mr. Du, go ahead with your business. Leave the task of tallying scores to me."
Hearing this, Du Heng didn't put on any false modesty and stood up directly, saying, "Then I'll thank Director Zhao."
Saying this, Du Heng unceremoniously packed his things and prepared to find Wang Pan.
But Bishop Zhao then took a small step forward and whispered next to Du Heng, "Mr. Du, that Mr. Song Zhiyuan, has completed all his resignation procedures today."
Du Heng's hands didn't stop. He simply said lightly, "Then I wish Mr. Song great success in his new job position."
