Soon, the elevator arrived at the sixteenth floor. Chen Momo rolled her luggage to room 1608, tapped her keycard against the lock, and with a BEEP, the door opened.

The apartment had been converted from a large classroom and was exquisitely furnished. It featured large floor-to-ceiling windows and a balcony that offered a panoramic view of the entire city. It was fully equipped with dedicated heating, air conditioning, a refrigerator, a washing machine, and various other furniture. The decor was highly modern, yet still managed to feel cozy.

Furthermore, room 1608 was located at the southernmost end. Facing a solid wall, it was separated from the adjacent room 1607 by dozens of meters, making it exceptionally quiet. Chen Momo was very satisfied with the new place.

She asked Chen Xiaobao and Xu Xiaoka, "What do you two think of the place?"

"It’s beautiful! I love it!" Xu Xiaoka replied happily.

"Then we’ll be living here from now on!" Momo declared.

Holding back a smile, Xu Xiaoka chose the secondary bedroom for herself, leaving Chen Momo with the master bedroom.

The three of them had just settled in when they suddenly heard a woman’s clamorous voice outside the door. "Is anyone living in 1608? I think 1608 is quite nice. I don’t want to live in 1607!"

Hearing voices at the door, Xu Xiaoka and Chen Xiaobao also walked out. When Chen Xiaobao saw Yang Shunsheng, and the woman holding a child beside him, the smile on his face instantly vanished.

Yang Shunsheng saw Chen Xiaobao, a flash of surprise and joy crossing his eyes. "Xiao Bao?"

Yang Shunsheng tugged at Huang Yuqing. "Let’s go. We can look at other rooms."

"I’m going to live in this room. I won’t stay in any other room!" Huang Yuqing said stubbornly. The way Yang Shunsheng had looked at Chen Momo and her son just now made Huang Yuqing very unhappy, and she was determined to vent her frustration today!

Seeing someone bully Chen Momo, Xu Xiaoka immediately rushed up to help. She reached out, yanked off Huang Yuqing’s hat, and grabbed onto her hair.

Yang Shunsheng naturally sided with Huang Yuqing. Seeing her being ganged up on by both Chen Momo and Xu Xiaoka, he roared angrily, "Chen Momo, let go right now!"
