But there was one thing that Adrian did notice. The so-called ’kitchen knives’ that they were selling weren’t exactly the straight-edge kitchen knives that Adrian was used to. These were basically curved blades. They were so curved that they looked more like harvesting sickles.

Seeing the fact that there was literally no other type of knife here other than the sickle kind, Adrian couldn’t help but look at the guards that had guided him.

He pointed at the mat. "What are those?"

The guard looked confused. "That is knife. You cut food."

Adrian frowned. "How do you even cut food with that?"

The guard just picked the sickle up from the mat. He took out a small, palm-sized root from the bag hanging around his waist. He held the root and basically just pushed the root straight through the inner curved blade of the sickle before looking back at Adrian.

"See? Cut."

Adrian just watched and couldn’t help but shake his head.

There was literally zero safety with this method, but these guys had obviously gotten completely used to doing something like this every single day. Adrian could just imagine himself using the exact same method. Pushing the vegetables, fruits, and whatever else through the blade with his own bare hand while making sure he kept the sickle stable.

’If I fucking did that, I am one hundred percent sure that I will slice my own fingers off. This is just... oh God.’

He sighed. ’Well, not my business. If that is what they want, then...’

He tapped his spatial ring and mentally connected to his dungeon link.

’System, make me something similar to this sickle shape, but make it out of refined steel. Make me ten of them.’

A few seconds later, Adrian nodded to the guard.

"Yeah, even my tribe has those. But I do not have too many of them with me. If you want, I can sell them to you."

The guard frowned. "Sell? Sell what? Sell?"

"Well, I mean exchange," Adrian corrected himself.

The guy’s face cleared up. "Oh, exchange. Okay. So how much you have?"

"I have ten."

Adrian brought out ten of those sickles.

Compared to the crude, blackish iron sickles that were sitting on the bamboo mat, the ones that Adrian had were basically shining, and looked like silver.

As everyone nearby looked at that shining metal, they couldn’t help but get attracted to it. After all, who didn’t like seeing brand new, shiny things?

This time, the guard showed everything off for him. He even showed off his dagger, casually doing free marketing for Adrian.

One of the tribesmen spat on the dirt. He grabbed one of the steel sickles from Adrian’s pile, and then snatched one of his own crude iron sickles from the ground. This man was the same person who was sitting right behind the mat, which meant that he was the shopkeeper.

He basically grabbed the steel sickle in one hand and the iron sickle in the other hand, and started violently smacking the two blades together.

On the very first hit, Adrian just shook his head.

’What can a regular person even do to steel and iron? Even if he smacks them together a hundred times, nothing is really going to happen other than probably a few chips on the edge of the blade.’

But to his absolute shock, on the twelfth hit, the iron sickle basically shattered and fell to the ground.

Adrian just stared at the broken chunk of the sickle that was on the ground, and then he slowly looked up at the guy.

’Right.... These guys are insanely strong. I just need to find out exactly where they get this strength from if they don’t have gaseous mana. If a mere shopkeeper is this freakishly strong, I can only imagine how strong the actual guards can be.’

He looked at the shopkeeper, who looked pretty distraught about the fact that his sickles were completely beaten by Adrian’s own sickle. The man just angrily packed his things and started walking away.

Adrian just kept his eyes on the man’s muscular back.

’If I just stay here for a while, I should be able to find out how they get this strength specifically. Since there is no point making wild assumptions, I guess I will just wait and watch.’

As the angry shopkeeper left, everyone else nearby started circling around Adrian. The news of the shiny, unbreakable knives spread pretty quickly.

It didn’t even take Adrian ten minutes to sell every single one of his sickles.

The things that he received in return were basically a massive pile of treated animal hide clothes. Along with that, there were also various food items: fresh fruits, bizarre vegetables, and edible roots. But there was no meat at all.

Adrian also got several bags of peppercorns, and he also received four large eggs.

They were all monster eggs.

As someone who could technically get anything at any time thanks to his dungeon, Adrian had never actually seen animal monster eggs. The reason was simple: he had specifically experimented with a cow for his meat farm, which was basically a mammal. He hadn’t done any projects on egg-laying species yet. Because of that, he hadn’t exactly seen any pure monster eggs until now in his entire life.

On top of that, he also never had any interest in eating monster eggs since he was so used to chicken eggs. In fact, he had never thought about monster eggs until now.

Looking at the four eggs, which were all basically the massive size of an ostrich egg, he just put them all safely into his spatial ring.

He looked at everyone there and smiled warmly.

"I have so much more to exchange. If you want, I will come back here, and I will exchange more tomorrow."

Right after he finished saying that, Claire looked at everyone in the crowd.

"Is it okay if we can stay here?" she asked gently.
