[Rael’s POV]

"Yawn!!"

I let out a long yawn while looking at my perfect self in the mirror. After all the shit that had happened yesterday, I was sure I wouldn’t be able to sleep properly but contrary to everything I expected, I slept like a log.

Hell, I didn’t even know when the sun had decided to stalk me with its bright rays. If Bearlo hadn’t woken me up on time, I would have definitely missed my first day back at the academy.

Not that I would have cared.

Though it would have been my loss.

After all, those professors didn’t care whether a glorious student like me showed up or not since all they had to do was teach but I would have missed some valuable lessons that could help me grow stronger.

Especially since today was one of the classes I had been excited about.

The puppetry class.

The professor in charge was that pervy-looking old man I had met in the elevator some time ago when that bastard Azriel had called me to meet him back when he was still alive.

I had signed up for that class immediately after understanding how useful it could be with my control over cards.

And who knew?

Maybe if I increased my mastery, I could somehow unlock a new card. With as usual chaotic noise within my head, I walked out of my room, already wearing my uniform.

Bearlo was on the ground floor and had already prepared breakfast. Meanwhile, Bearlina and his father, Semo, sat at the dining table having their meal.

Still, it felt kind of weird seeing those fluffy white bears munching on grass like herbivores, but according to Bearlina, that was all they could eat.

"Good morning, my liege."

Bearlo greeted me as soon as I arrived, wearing the same cutesy apron he always wore before serving my breakfast. It was some usual specialty from the Demon Realm.

Bearlina and Semo nodded at me.

"Good morning, young master."

Their posture straightened immediately as they greeted me.

"Good morning."

I didn’t know what exactly Bearlo had told them about me but honestly... I didn’t mind the respect as I took a seat and began my meal.

There was still an hour left before class, so I wasn’t in any particular rush as I munched on the food leisurely.

"So, Bearlina... What did you say the name of your planet was again? And tell me about it?" I asked without even looking in his direction, my attention completely focused on the food. ℯℯ𝘭.

Bearlina, the ever-so-feminine-looking male bear, looked at me and smiled softly.

"We come from the Biribiri Planet, which is situated within the Breckloma Galaxy. It’s a peaceful planet and we Furbarians, along with seven other species, are the dominant races there."

He continued in an excited tone.

"Our planet has some of the best scenery across the entire universe or so they say and we are famous for our sweets. Our males were recently awarded as the best researchers of ASS this year while our females are one of the best warriors."

"My sister herself is considered as a strong candidate for the position of matriarch."

He puffed out his chest proudly.

"Ahh, I see."

Before Bearlina could continue listing another fifty attractions of Biribiri Planet, I stopped him. I mean, I didn’t exactly like yappers as long as it wasn’t me.

"What about gods? Which gods do you worship?"

Bearlina’s smile widened even further.

"How could that even be a question? We, along with most of the residents of our world, worship the one true Lord of Beasts, Makmorg. Apart from our lord, there are also three other gods worshipped across the Biribiri Planet. There are also a few cults spread across our kingdoms that worship some heretical gods as well."

"I see, I see."

So, it’s the same as everywhere, huh?

I nodded, taking in useless information that had little to no use for my current self before cutting straight to the question I actually wanted to ask.

"So, what’s your plan now? How do you plan to return? Do you have some means of transportation, or are you just winging it?"

I asked, seriously wondering how the hell these guys had even entered this world in the first place.

"...Umm."

Bearlina hesitated for the first time since we started talking and even his father looked a little nervous.

"That... we... young master... we actually do have transportation." He pulled out a small pendant from his pocket and hanging from it was a tiny figure of a spaceship. "This is the spaceship we arrived in."

Oh. So they do have compression magic powerful enough to even shrink massive ships.

I wondered as my smile widened for a moment, thinking it could save me from some useless trouble and acting like a slave for a while but Bearlina immediately popped that bubble.

"But the ship doesn’t have any fuel left. Our ship uses a specific kind of fuel and we expected to find it within Anciana but as you know, it was destroyed."

He shook his head, pushing the spaceship back into his pocket.

"Without that fuel... this spaceship is practically useless."

Ohh, fate, you bitch. Why must you always show me carrots only to snatch them away immediately after? Why can’t you be kind to me at least once?

I seriously held myself back from cursing as I got up from the chair since I was already done with breakfast.

I looked at Bearlina, then at Semo and Bearlo, who were watching me from the side.

"I will arrange the fuel but in exchange, you have to give me a ride somewhere I want to go. Do you agree?"

"Yes, Young Master."

Bearlina nodded immediately. Even his father looked happy as he nodded vigorously as well.

"Great. We’ll finalise the contract when I get back. Until then, remember not to go out, alright?"

The plan hadn’t changed much even now.

I was still going to wait for ASS to attack but this time, instead of sneaking aboard as slaves, I was planning to steal some fuel from their ship...

Still, that didn’t mean I was going to trust these Furbarians without any reassurance.

So, a contract was a must.

They seemed to understand my thoughts and nodded immediately as I turned around and walked toward the exit of my dorm.

"See you guys later then."

With those words, I left, not knowing how the day would turn out.
