The building before him had long since lost its former appearance. It could hardly be called the Vine Mansion anymore.

The vines that once wound around the building’s exterior, emitting a green fluorescent glow, had now lost all their vitality. Large swaths were covered by a thick, dense layer of white fuzz, as if the entire structure had been draped in a pale, velvety cloth, creating a strange and sinister sight.

Gu Su narrowed his eyes, studying the building once more. Suddenly, a thought struck him.

This white fuzz covering the vines... it looked just like the Corroding Mycelium he often used in his Graveyard Demon.

Those slender white filaments were creeping along the texture of the vines, slowly eating their way into the building’s interior. In their wake, the once-emerald vines withered and turned pale. Even the building’s walls were stained a faint white, the color slowly spreading into a vast, blanketing sheet, as if poised to completely devour the entire structure.

Gu Su stood frozen, his mind blank for a few seconds before the memory slowly returned to him.

The last time he was at the Vine Mansion, he’d noticed something by chance: countless bones seemed to be buried beneath the roots of the vines, packed densely in the soil.

An idea had struck him then, so he’d casually dumped an entire shopping cart full of Corroding Mycelium onto the vine roots, figuring he might be able to use its Power to get rid of them completely.

He had left in a hurry right after that and never received any feedback about the Corroding Mycelium. As time went on, he’d gradually forgotten all about it.

He’d even assumed that the Corroding Mycelium he’d deployed had no effect and that the matter had simply fizzled out.

He never imagined he would return to a scene like this.

Not only had the Corroding Mycelium worked, but it had also ravaged the entire building until it was unrecognizable.

’It seems it wasn’t that the Corroding Mycelium was ineffective,’ he thought. ’It was that the building is simply massive. The vines covered a vast area, and their roots ran deep into the walls everywhere. That must have made the Corroding Mycelium’s effect incredibly slow, taking until now for the results to become so apparent.’

Having figured this out, the astonishment in Gu Su’s eyes faded, replaced by understanding. A faint smile even touched the corners of his lips.

Confirming the Corroding Mycelium was working, Gu Su didn’t linger. He set off, slowly circling the white-fuzzed building from a distance.

He carefully observed the progress of the mycelium’s corrosion as he walked.

After completing one circuit, he had made his assessment.

The Corroding Mycelium’s rate of decay was still somewhat slow. The vines on the exterior walls were only about thirty percent corroded, while the interior was even less affected—only about a tenth. It would take a very long time to completely corrode the entire building.

The problem was obvious: he hadn’t used enough Corroding Mycelium last time. Its growth rate was too slow to quickly cover such a massive building.

Realizing this, Gu Su stopped hesitating and straightened up abruptly.

’If there isn’t enough Corroding Mycelium here, I’ll just add more. After all, the Corroding Mycelium in my Graveyard Demon is plentiful—practically inexhaustible.’

With that thought in mind, Gu Su wasted no more time. He turned and ran swiftly in the direction of the Graveyard Demon.

He had already formulated the next phase of his plan.

He would bring more Corroding Mycelium. He wouldn’t just place it at the roots of the external vines, but also get it inside the building to create a pincer attack from both within and without. That was the only way to completely corrode the entire building in the shortest possible time.

As for what would happen after the building was corroded, Gu Su didn’t know yet.

But from the looks of it, something good was bound to happen.

He traveled at top speed, and it wasn’t long before Gu Su rushed back to the Graveyard Demon.

The moment he stepped into the Graveyard Demon’s domain, he saw Suburban Wolf leading a squad of Skeleton Warriors, methodically hauling a huge batch of Kobold corpses. The bodies were piled high as a mountain and gave off a faint, putrid stench. They had clearly just been brought back from the sewers.

Suburban Wolf quickly noticed Gu Su’s return. He immediately stopped what he was doing and strode forward. Bowing his head respectfully, he spoke in a steady voice, "My Lord."

Gu Su waved him off, dispensing with pleasantries. He pointed toward the Withered Wood Forest, gesturing for Suburban Wolf to stand by, while simultaneously calling out to the sky, "Crow’s Caw, get one of your smarter White Crows over here."

’Right now, all I can think about is deploying the Corroding Mycelium,’ Gu Su thought. ’As for putting the corpses in the Empty Tomb in the Withered Wood Forest, someone else can handle that.’

Suburban Wolf, standing to the side, understood Gu Su’s intention with a single glance at the gesture.

He turned and directed the Skeleton Warriors under his command to quickly transport the mountain of Kobold corpses toward the Withered Wood Forest, batch by batch.

Upon entering the Withered Wood Forest, he immediately saw that on the tombstone before the previously vacant, special Empty Tomb, the two words "Bone Dog" had already been carved.

With that marking, no further confirmation was needed.

Suburban Wolf immediately commanded the Skeleton Warriors to toss the Kobold corpses they carried into the Empty Tomb, one by one, in an orderly fashion. Their movements were swift and efficient, without a hint of hesitation.

He knew perfectly well that Gu Su had already thought everything through. His job was simply to deposit the corpses.

Meanwhile, Gu Su was giving his instructions to Crow’s Caw. "Send a White Crow, along with a Skeleton I’ll assign, into the building covered by the Corroding Mycelium.

Have the Skeleton dump all the Corroding Mycelium from my Treasure Chest in key locations inside the building.

Places like stairwells and hallway corners. Try to cover as wide an area as possible."

Gu Su paused, then added a word of caution. "After all the Corroding Mycelium has been dumped, have the White Crow bring the Skeleton back safely.

Remember, don’t let the Skeleton out of its sight. If you notice it acting stupid, you must call it back immediately."

He had to be this specific.

After all, the intelligence of ordinary Undead without a Minion to personally direct them was truly pitiful. If his instructions weren’t clear, the Skeleton might miss drop points, get lost, or even damage the Corroding Mycelium. Any of those outcomes would cause major delays, and the potential losses far outweighed the gains.

Crow’s Caw nodded slightly and let out a low caw to the White Crow beside him, relaying Gu Su’s orders. He then turned back to Gu Su and bowed. "Rest assured, My Lord. I will see it done."

In a nearby clearing, the Treasure Chest that Gu Su had specifically ordered a Skeleton to drag back was now filled to the brim with fine, white strands of Corroding Mycelium.

The mycelium was piled mountain-high, nearly spilling over the sides, and it exuded a faint, sinister chill.

This was the powerful tool he had prepared to ensure the building’s complete corrosion.
