The villagers who went out to work were mainly doing skilled labor, including renovation work. They didn’t need to hire anyone, as they could do it themselves. So, the entire village was buzzing with activity, embarking on a grand renovation.

Tanya saw it and was naturally delighted. Since it was a holiday village, if all the houses in the village had beautiful décor, it would seem much more upscale. Moreover, once the village developed, these remaining families could turn their homes into guesthouses or open shops, reaping many benefits. She hadn’t mentioned these thoughts, but she was calculating in her mind. Fortunately, the villagers had a blind trust in Old Marcus and Marcus Quinn and liked to follow trends.

After solving the hard renovations, it was time for the interior setup. The remnants left by families who had moved were basically decades-old items,

Tanya kept all of them, repairing and decorating them as unique ornaments. Surprisingly, these old items gave a distinct charm as decorations, unmatched in other places. All the furniture was standardized wooden furniture, with large beds divided into antique carved canopy beds and leisurely kang-style wooden beds.

This kang-style bed was something Tanya had seen at other inns, measuring 2-3 meters. Below the bed were storage cabinets, and the bed itself was for sleeping. At the foot of the bed, a leisure area was separated, furnished with a small wooden tea table and comfortable straw mats, making it perfect for working or tea-drinking, extremely cozy.

The houses in the countryside had a distinctive feature—they were big, so the rooms were spacious. Tanya noticed the rolled-up soft yarn curtains at the farmhouses looked beautiful and told Marcus Quinn, using such curtains paired with screens would look great inside the rooms.

Marcus Quinn naturally agreed and sought someone to custom-make them. In this way, the interior décor was largely settled, with the canopy beds and all the wooden furniture ready to be brought in.

The remainder was the village’s landscaping.

The village was paved with bluestone paths, which delighted Tanya. Regarding transplanting flowers and plants for ornamentation, decades-old trees were expensive and difficult to transplant, so for household greenery, the focus was mainly on flowers and plants. Small potted flowers could be purchased from Suton and placed along the paths, or some half-person-high flower trees could be dug from the mountains to plant.

The village entrance was already shaded with green trees, and every household had plenty of trees and flowers, so with minor adjustments, it formed a small village surrounded by flowering trees.

By the end of September, nearly a month of renovations were complete. During the National Day holidays, the nearby scenic area of Anfield Village would experience a small peak in tourism. Marcus Quinn and Tanya discussed using this small tourism season to experiment.

Tanya found it feasible. After a busy month, they had to assess the results. Besides, this month was all expenses without income. Out of the 5.6 million startup fund, only 200,000 was left, even with frugal spending and Marcus and the villagers as laborers. Marcus Quinn was still considering earning the 5 million startup fund back, while Tanya thought this amounted to being 5 million in debt.

So the man went to find someone to make the resort’s sign, and Tanya thought about naming the fifteen guest rooms. Unable to choose good names, she resorted to using the names of the twenty-four solar terms as room names, specially commissioning wooden plaques to hang on the stone walls at the door.

Naming the holiday village was another hurdle for Tanya, so everyone held a meeting to discuss ideas.

"Call it Anfield Resort, which happens to be the name of our village," Uncle Irving said with a smile.

"This holiday village was opened by Marcus Quinn, not the village, so naturally, it should be called Marcus Quinn Resort," Aunt Irving said earnestly.

Marcus Quinn Resort? Tanya felt like laughing; she couldn’t think of good names anyway, so she looked at Marcus Quinn.

"Marcus has always been low-key, he surely wouldn’t agree," Irving Spencer laughed. Over the past month, Irving had spent most of his time in the village, helping out, even considering quitting his civil servant job to return to the village, though his wife dissuaded him. Yet the enthusiasm of the man in his thirties remained unchanged; he had already taken half a month’s leave, busying himself alongside Marcus Quinn.

Marcus Quinn looked towards Tanya. Over the month, although the man was exposed to the elements, he looked better than during the summer as an air conditioner repairman. His muscles hadn’t diminished a bit; his skin had turned a little white, now a wheat color, making him look more aggressive.

Ever since that night, when Marcus Quinn kissed her, Tanya felt his gaze was both forceful and aggressive. Although Marcus Quinn listened to her in almost everything, that feeling lingered in Tanya’s heart, making her tremble as she saw him look over, pretending to be ignorant.

"If we’re using a name, it should be Tanya’s," the man said in a deep voice, powerful and robust, as the holiday village was opened because Tanya wanted it, and he opened it for her.

Uncle Irving’s family saw this, smiling at Tanya with their eyes. Over the past month, they had seen it clearly. If Anfield Village had a village chief, it was Uncle Irving; everyone listened to Uncle Irving, who listened to Marcus Quinn, and Marcus Quinn listened to Tanya. So Tanya was the one who ultimately made the decisions.

Marcus Quinn truly doted on this young girl.

"No, we can’t use my name," Tanya quickly waved her hands. Her identity couldn’t be exposed. She bit her pink lips, thought for a moment, and said, "Choose a simple and memorable name, such as Green Meadow Wonderland Resort or Farmstay Resort."

"Green Meadow Wonderland is good; our village is refurbished like a fairy tale, and it has a whimsical charm. This name suits it," Irving Spencer said with a smile.

Marcus Quinn also nodded in agreement.

And so the name Tanya casually mentioned became the name of the resort.
