The System Sent Me to Breed an All-Female Amazon Tribe
Chapter 548: A Day In Sara’s Life: Since When Were you Married?
My eyes scanned the mass of bodies, noting the slight imperfections, the moments of hesitation, the small signs of fatigue that could be exploited in battle. "She’s fortunate to have such a position. But she also earned it through her dedication and skill. If you want to be sent on similar missions, you need to prove yourself worthy."
The two sisters followed me, their eyes also scanning the mass for slackers, as they also sometimes gave instructions as well.
Their voices rang out across the training ground, sharp and commanding, correcting postures and urging the women to push harder.
I glanced back at them for a while.
The two silver-haired captains were walking behind me, their presence familiar and comforting, their voices a constant backdrop to the rhythm of the training ground.
They were both thousands of years older than me, ancient beings who had fought in wars that had been forgotten with time.
But they do not act as such in the least. At least, not around me.
They were playful, teasing, very childish in their interactions with me, treating me like a younger sister rather than a little girl.
This dynamic has made Benjamin misunderstand and assume I am one of the oldest Amazon in Verdant Spire, and these two were younger than me.
It truly was interesting, the way he’d look at me with such respect and deference, completely unaware that I was barely a fraction of their age.
They were even older than mother.
"What?" Vesper tilted her head, one of her twin braids falling over her shoulder, her golden eyes curious and bright. "You’re staring a lot. You fell in love?"
"Hm... Nothing so inappropriate, please," I giggled and turned my gaze to the soldiers, my cheeks flushing slightly at being caught gazing. "I was just wondering about something..."
My voice trailed off, uncertain how to articulate the thoughts that were swirling in my mind.
"Hmmmm? Wondering about what?" Aria smiled mischievously and patted my head, a gesture that surprised me a bit.
Her hand was warm and gentle, her touch unexpectedly tender for someone of her size.
"Haha, she must definitely be thinking about Benjamin. Sara’s always thinking about Benjamin!" Vesper giggled and nudged me at my side, her elbow poking into my ribs with playful force.
"O-Of course. I am his wife." I whined a bit under my voice, the words coming out more defensive than I’d intended. "But that was not exactly what I was wondering about."
My protest was weak, possibly barely convincing, and I could see the knowing smiles spreading across their faces.
Suddenly, they started acting like my big sisters, so I didn’t know how to tell them I was wondering why they never did so.
"Wife?" Aria raised a brow and smirked, her dark eyes glinting with amusement. "Since when were you married to Benjamin?"
"Hahaha, you better not get delusional now!" Vesper shook me playfully, her hands on my shoulders, her laughter ringing out across the training ground.
"Hm? You do not believe me?" I turned my neck towards each of their faces flanking me, my voice taking on a more serious tone. "Benjamin took me above everything in this world, to a location called ’outer space.’ And after we mated before it—as a form of mockery, rebellion, and dominance—he asked me to marry him."
[Author’s note: Sara is skewing events a little!]
The sisters looked shocked for a bit, their eyes widening, their mouths falling open. But they soon regained composure, their expressions shifting from surprise to something softer and more intimate.
"Well, I’m happy for you." Aria smiled, laying her hand on my cheek tenderly. Her voice was warm and needlessly maternal, and I could see pride shining in her eyes. "You were only a little brat who hated clothes the other day... and now you’re the first Amazon in Verdant Spire to get married, in a long time."
"What?! Do not speak about my childhood in public!" I nagged, sensing the teasing smiles from the troops.
Their eyes were on me, their lips twitching with barely suppressed laughter. "What is the reason for your amusement?! Get back to work, slackers!"
Goodness, I loved and hated the dynamic...
But I suppose that’s what it means to have older siblings.
The thought was bittersweet, a reminder of what I’d lost and what I’d gained.
Izra and Ezra, my elder sisters, left Verdant Spire 1500 years before I was even born.
They’d gone off to serve King Renard, to seek their own destinies, leaving me with no memories and fading stories.
I have met Izra many times in my life, but our relationship is far from that of siblings.
She is something of a stranger now, a distant figure who shared my blood but not my life. The bond that should have existed between us had withered and died, replaced by the polite formality of two people who had grown apart.
I do not even feel anything concerning it, not do I blame them for their choice to follow their hearts.

"Hm? Rahab is not wearing a scandalous outfit today?" Lady Violette asked the dark-haired woman with yellow eyes standing close to her, with a small child flanking them.
Her voice was curious and teasingly disappointed, almost as if she’d been looking forward to seeing Rahab’s usual provocative attire.
"I have no need to do that," she responded, taking a glance at the dress she was wearing, her yellow eyes flickering amusement. "Master Benjamin is not around for me to seduce. More importantly, why are you leaving your human breasts bare to the air?"
Rahab was wearing a violet jacket with a hood and many pockets, with a grey tunic inside.
She also wore a lower garment of loose dark breeches—something Benjamin was fond of referring to as "pants."
The outfit was practical, functional, a far cry from the revealing garments she’d usually favored. She seemed to like the invention of Deva, and Deva herself.
The inventor had a way of winning people over with her creations, her clever designs and thoughtful gifts earning her a place in the hearts of even the most reluctant admirers.
Lady Violette was wearing a short, brown Amazonian skirt... with nothing on top, her massive and very threatening breasts bared in the open field.
Her breasts were large and heavy, swaying with each movement, and she seemed completely unbothered by her state of undress.
