Chapter 1621 - 1634: Calamity Strikes
Chapter 1621: Chapter 1634: Calamity Strikes
It’s not just Lin Mu who’s feeling depressed; Young Master Qi, who found no favor at the Supreme International Club during the day and was scolded harshly upon returning home, is so miserable he nearly spits blood. Naturally, he needs to vent, skipping dinner to do so. As the sun sets behind West Mountain, stars fill the sky, and with a blazing anger, Young Master Qi steps out of the house, intending to find a place to revel wantonly.
However, taking a shortcut, he barely makes it into the alley when chaotic footsteps sound behind him. Qi Junwen’s expression changes, he’s about to turn around when his head is covered with a greasy sack, smelling foul, probably used to store dead pork.
Lounging in luxury, Young Master Qi is nauseated, unable to utter the word "fuck" before countless fists and kicks rain down on him.
Bang! Qi Junwen is quickly knocked to the ground. He curls up, using his arms to protect vital areas, disregarding the pungent stench, and painfully identifies himself: "What are you doing? I’m Qi Junwen!"
The blows stop, and a cold voice suddenly speaks. Qi Junwen breathes a sigh of relief, about to speak again, when several hands press him firmly to the ground. Alarmed, an ominous feeling arises. Sure enough, the voice sneers again: "That’s right, I’m here for you, Third Child, bring the knife, let’s take off one of his legs."
"You... don’t do anything reckless, my father is..."
Before he finishes speaking, his mouth is tightly covered through the sack. Qi Junwen’s body stiffens, breaking out into a cold sweat.
Just when Young Master Qi nearly wets his pants in terror, a slightly panicked yet melodious voice suddenly rings in the alley: "Stop, I, I’ve called 110, the police are on their way."
"Fuck, where’d this chick come from?"
"No idea, man, should I take care of her?"
"Take care of your ass, business first, take his leg..." Before the words are finished, the wailing of sirens starts up, "Fuck, this guy’s lucky. Cops are here, let’s scram!"
Chaotic footsteps quickly retreat, Qi Junwen breathes a sigh of relief, struggles up, and takes off the sack. Fresh air rushes into his lungs, faintly carrying the scent of fresh hair. A pair of snow-white, delicate feet, painted with light pink nail polish, comes into view, and soon, the melodious voice rings in his ears again: "Big brother, are you okay, do you need an ambulance?"
"No need..." Qi Junwen draws in a breath, looks up, and then freezes in place.
In front of him is a girl, barely seventeen or eighteen, with an oval face, soft hair cascading on her shoulders, and large watery eyes like a crystal-clear pond, utterly spotless. Young Master Qi, accustomed to voluptuous beauties, his heart leaps at the sight of such a pure, lovely girl, feeling a long-lost impulse arising through his veins.
"Big brother, are you really okay?"
The white hand waving in front of him snaps Young Master Qi back to his senses. He tugs at his mouth, displaying what he thinks is a charming smile, speaking warmly: "Little beauty, I really have to thank you, if it weren’t your quick thinking with the phone playing siren sounds, I might be in real danger today..."
"Oh, how did you know?"
The girl opens her small mouth in surprise, her cute, innocent appearance stirring Qi Junwen’s heart. He licks his lips, secretly deciding that no matter what, he would get her and have his fun.
As the saying goes, Heaven may forgive sins, but self-inflicted sins cannot be survived. If Qi Junwen hadn’t thoughtlessly about seducing, he wouldn’t return to the rental with the girl, even if to apply medicine. If he were prudent, he wouldn’t drink the plain water she offered so easily.
Unfortunately, it’s all too late now.
Qi Junwen opens his eyes to see Cheng Xu’s large, maliciously smiling face.
"You bastard, you set me up!"
"Young Master Liu, you can eat indiscriminately, but don’t speak indiscriminately. Clearly, it’s you overcome by lust, doing those outrageous, beastly things to the girl; what’s it got to do with me?"
Cheng Xu chuckles, flipping the computer in his hand, where a high-definition video begins playing. Though the angle is somewhat fixed, it comprehensively records what just happened.
Buzz! Qi Junwen’s mind goes blank.
The video playing displays his passionate scene with the girl.
The girl, clearly hired at a high price to play the role of a green tea bitch, her approach is clearly one of dramatics. From struggling and resisting to pleading, eventually despairing and shedding silent tears... She utterly embodies the helplessness, sorrow, and pain of a girl being wronged. Anyone seeing this video would feel immense sympathy.
"Damn it, you drugged me, this isn’t real..."
Qi Junwen, in fury, jumps off the bed, jiggling his fat flesh, wanting to smash the computer. But alas, midway through, Cheng Xu kicks him hard, sending him back, clutching his chest, unable to catch his breath for some time.
"Everything needs evidence, spouting nonsense, we can sue you for defamation."
Lin Mu suddenly speaks from the corner. He squints his eyes, picks up the glass on the table, playing with it in his hand slowly. Next, a bizarre scene occurs, the glass before had been spiked now slowly starts to turn into sand from top to bottom. In moments, it becomes a handful of crystal clear powder, piling in Lin Mu’s palm.
Qi Junwen is left dumbfounded, his face turns as pale as snow.
"Sometimes, dying isn’t the scariest; truly terrifying is being unable to live, yet unable to die."
Without looking at Qi Junwen lying weakly on the bed, Lin Mu opens the window, letting the wind take the powder little by little into the night. After a while, he exhales heavily, speaking in a deep voice: "Over the years, you’ve surely offended many people. Outside, it’s still manageable, but if you’re discredited and sent to prison, surely many there wouldn’t mind settling old scores with you. Hell, having a deputy police chief father likely won’t fully protect you, right?"
"What do you want?" Qi Junwen takes a deep breath, now surprisingly calm.
"The mastermind! I want to know who sent you to the Supreme International Club, and his purpose."
Lin Mu claps his hands, a warm smile curling at his lips: "Of course, you could choose not to speak, or lie. But the choice only comes once, miss it..."
