Chapter 1479: Chapter 1494: The So-Called Elites Can’t Take a Hit

Very soon, a bunch of burly men in black vests, muscles bulging all over, jumped down from the windows. In the blink of an eye, ten black‑clad toughs appeared in the courtyard, then glared angrily at Lin Mu and that group of bruisers.

Clearly, those bruisers’ antics had already pissed them off. Anyone would be furious about being woken up when they’re sleeping soundly.

"Where’d these lanzai come from? Tired of living, huh?" one of the black‑clad bruisers barked coldly.

"I think the ones tired of living are you sorry fucks!" The guys on Lin Mu’s side obviously weren’t going to back down. Lin Mu had already said it: they didn’t need to fight, he could handle it all himself, and he wouldn’t let them get hurt.

Even though those bruisers found it a bit hard to believe, they still did as Lin Mu instructed.

"With your trash three‑legged‑cat skills, you think you’re worthy of throwing hands with us?" the black‑clad bruiser said.

He wasn’t wrong either. Just those eight clowns, even if they all went in together, might not be able to take down one Wei Family elite, never mind ten of them.

"Bullshit. To deal with you, why would we all need to rush in? We can pick any random guy from our side and he could fuck you up." Lin Mu’s man said.

"Oh yeah? Then come try it." The Wei Family elite sneered, rubbing his fists, clearly thinking the other side was just bragging their asses off. Of course, in a situation like this, anyone would think it was pure bullshit—bodies this flimsy, frames this skinny, and one guy claims he can beat up a whole bunch of Wei Family‑raised elites? Even bragging up to heaven isn’t that easy, right?

Anyway, it was time for Lin Mu to make his move. With a flicker of motion, Lin Mu flashed behind the black‑clad bruiser, striking out with a palm out of nowhere, fast as lightning.

The black‑clad bruiser instantly sensed something was wrong and turned, wanting to dodge. But Lin Mu never gave him that chance. The very next second, just as the black‑clad bruiser spun around, Lin Mu’s heavy fist slammed into his chest. The man was swatted flying on the spot, dropping like a kite with its string cut.

The other guys saw this and swarmed at Lin Mu like a hive of bees. In no time it became nine‑on‑one. For anyone else, that would be a hell of a tricky situation—after all, in people’s minds, two fists can’t beat four hands, and this wasn’t four hands, it was eighteen.

But for Lin Mu, it was nothing. Those ten experts were all pretty skilled, counted as masters, but compared to a top‑tier fighter like Lin Mu, they were still far behind, blown away by at least eighteen streets. Lin Mu’s skills had already reached the White Qi Realm in the Yijin Jing. Once he went all out, it was like an adult beating a bunch of kindergarten kids.

In the next second, Lin Mu tangled with those nine men. Even though it was one versus nine, he didn’t fall behind at all—on the contrary, it looked like he had the upper hand. Using his fierce Elusive Body Technique, Lin Mu moved among the bunch of hulking men with ease, leaving them all dizzy and disoriented for a while, unable to tell east from west, north from south.

After playing around for a bit, Lin Mu got tired of toying with them. With one Continuous Heart‑piercing Kick, several so‑called Wei Family elites were booted away like rubber balls, then crashed hard into the ground. So that’s all it took to bust these "elites"? They sure didn’t hold up to a beating.

Lin Mu’s control was perfectly measured. Those few instantly lost their ability to resist and couldn’t keep fighting. He was just making them temporarily unable to fight back—on that point, Lin Mu had very good judgment.

The bruisers who had come along were dazzled by what they saw. Lin Mu casually showing this hand made him practically godlike in their eyes—too damn badass.

You had to know this had just been one versus ten. For this group of bruisers, that was the kind of feat they figured they could never accomplish in their entire lives.

With the outcome decided, Lin Mu couldn’t be bothered to clean up the mess. He left the rest to his subordinates.

"Cripple them all." Lin Mu waved his hand as he spoke. He never showed mercy to enemies—that was experience gained as the Wolf Fang Soldier King on the North African Battlefield. If you’re kind to your enemies, once they recover, they’ll come back at full health to take revenge on you.

His men all got fired up, charging in full of energy. They rushed at those opponents who’d lost the ability to resist, hacking and pounding away wildly. With that kind of beating, those guys were bound to be ruined.

The opponents were like slabs of meat laid out on the chopping block, so the few subordinates were having a blast, and some of them were cursing nonstop.

"Motherfucker, didn’t you clowns call yourselves Wei Family elites? Weren’t you all so damn awesome? How come you’re not getting up to hit me now?"

"Come on, get up and go at it! Let’s see who’s really more badass!"

"I’m gonna beat you dumbasses to death!"

With that, fists and feet flew, and Blades and short sticks swung together. A few minutes later, Wei Family’s so‑called ten elite experts were turned into blood‑soaked men. After that savage thrashing, every one of them was covered in fresh blood—the scene was brutally savage.

And just like that, the matter was settled easily. Those ten experts were decent overall, but compared to Lin Mu, they were ridiculously far behind.

After finishing up, Lin Mu gave Jiao Yunda a call, telling him the job was done. Jiao Yunda burst out laughing when he heard it. Of course, for Lin Mu this was nothing—basically just stretching his muscles a bit.

Back from the Wei Family compound, Lin Mu took the car back to the hotel. The whole round trip took only an hour and the matter was neatly wrapped up—about as smooth as it gets.

Back at the hotel, Jiao Yunda came out personally to greet him, clearly in a good mood. After all, a big concern had been taken care of, so naturally he felt cheerful.

"Boss Lin, this time I really owe you. Without you, I’d have been worried sick." Jiao Yunda said.

Lin Mu smiled and said, "Young Master Jiao, you’re being polite. It was just a lift of my hand. The rest is still up to you."

"Don’t worry. In terms of business operations, with Yu Ye and me working together, I’m confident we can handle the Wei Family. After this, I’m guessing the Wei Family won’t make another move to interfere with the gold trade. They’ve lost their manpower anyway; even if they want to stick their nose in, it’ll just be pointless busywork, and they’ll be the ones to suffer in the end." Jiao Yunda said.

Of course, Lin Mu didn’t want to meddle in these side issues. This was a feud between the Jiao Family and the Wei Family; as an outsider, he was too lazy to get involved. Besides, the Wei Family was also a powerful clan, so Lin Mu didn’t want to stir up too much trouble. But if the Wei Family came after him, then Lin Mu would show no mercy.

"Come on, we’re in high spirits today, let’s have a couple more drinks." Jiao Yunda poured, and the few of them started drinking again.

The group went at it eating and drinking again. No matter where he was, Lin Mu was always a heavyweight when it came to booze. It’s not like there’s no one who can drink him under the table—the old man back home is one. Aside from that old man, Lin Mu has practically never met a match. Just like with his skills, he’s never really met a rival.
