The Super Bodyguard of the Beautiful CEO
Chapter 1470 - 1485: So What If I Hit Them?
Chapter 1470: Chapter 1485: So What If I Hit Them?
Looking at the policeman that Boss Bai called Captain Liu, he glanced at Lin Mu and then pointed at the person on the ground, saying, "You hit the person, right?"
"Yes, that’s right, I hit them." Lin Mu nodded. This small matter wasn’t worth denying for Lin Mu, otherwise, it wouldn’t fit the personality of the Wolf Fang Soldier King. A man has to be bold and accountable!
"Alright, come with us to the police station for investigation." Captain Liu showed his credentials and then said to Lin Mu.
Lin Mu glanced at Captain Liu’s credentials and saw his name was Liu Zhongyong. Lin Mu certainly cooperated and nodded, "Alright, let’s go."
Then Liu Zhongyong glanced at Boss Bai and said, "Boss Bai, you come with me to the police station to explain the situation as well."
Boss Bai nodded and then laboriously crawled up from the ground. Being able to get up after being beaten like that, Boss Bai was indeed not simple.
Soon, under the lead of the police, the group went downstairs and got into the police car, heading towards the security squad. Before long, they arrived at the main security office, and several police officers took Lin Mu to the interrogation room.
However, Liu Zhongyong did not come; it was just a few junior police officers who casually asked some irrelevant questions like name and origin.
After more than half an hour, Liu Zhongyong finally walked into the interrogation room. Once he came in, a subordinate yielded a seat for Captain Liu to sit down.
"Do you know that hitting someone is against the law?" Liu Zhongyong looked at Lin Mu and asked.
"Of course!" Lin Mu said with a smile. If Liu Zhongyong knew that he dared to kill people, then what would he think? Compared to killing, hitting someone seems like a minor offense, right? And Lin Mu had killed more than just one person, so many that he himself lost count.
"Since you know hitting someone is illegal, why did you still do it? Their injury assessment qualifies as minor injuries. According to the norm, you’d get a sentence. Do you understand?" Liu Zhongyong looked at Lin Mu and said.
"Haha, yes, I understand." Lin Mu laughed.
"Can you be serious?" Liu Zhongyong looked at Lin Mu and said.
"Alright, I understand, Captain Liu." Lin Mu said seriously.
"That’s enough, sign the papers and you can go." Liu Zhongyong waved his hand and said.
"Huh?" Lin Mu felt puzzled upon hearing this. Wasn’t he supposed to be sentenced? Why now let him go? What’s going on here?
"What’s the matter? Do you not want to leave? Or are you hoping for a couple more nights here?" Liu Zhongyong looked at Lin Mu and said.
"Haha, I don’t understand, why let me go? Normally you wouldn’t, right? I’m not familiar or acquainted with you, let alone have any connections." Lin Mu said with a smile.
"You don’t know me, and we don’t have any connections, but someone posted bail for you, so you can leave." Liu Zhongyong said.
"Haha, who’s that? So kind-hearted." Lin Mu laughed.
"You’ll find out once you go out. Alright, I have many cases to handle, won’t keep you here." Liu Zhongyong said, then got up and left the interrogation room.
Lin Mu was naturally happy, saving himself a lot of trouble. Of course, Lin Mu wanted to see who was being so good to him, coming to bail him out.
It seemed he didn’t have any relatives or friends in Longdu, right? Could it be someone sent by the old man? Certainly not, because getting the old man involved would require an absolute emergency, and now it seemed to be ten thousand miles away from emergency, right?
So Lin Mu got up, left the interrogation room, and went to the hall outside where he instantly saw that familiar figure. It was none other than Young Master Jiao, Jiao Yunda, whom he met yesterday.
Jiao Yunda was talking to Liu Zhongyong with some polite casual talk, and after shaking hands, Liu Zhongyong left.
Lin Mu walked up with a smile, "I wondered who had such great influence; turns out it was Young Master Jiao."
"Boss Lin, are you alright?" Jiao Yunda asked with a smile too.
"All good, nothing wrong. Young Master Jiao, I owe you another favor now." Lin Mu laughed.
"Boss Lin, what are you talking about? Jiao doesn’t dare to boast elsewhere, but as long as it’s within Longdu, I can handle little things. Just a small effort." Jiao Yunda said with a smile.
"Young Master Jiao, I must thank you properly this time. Let’s go, have a couple of drinks outside?" Lin Mu said with a smile.
"Haha, sure! Just so Jiao can fulfill his hosting duties. Let’s have a couple of drinks together!" Jiao Yunda smiled.
"Alright, let’s go!"
Lin Mu and Jiao Yunda left the police station together and then both got into Jiao Yunda’s extended Lincoln. Ten minutes later, the car stopped in front of a five-star hotel. They got out, and Jiao Yunda and Lin Mu got a VIP room.
Soon, the food was served. Lin Mu poured a glass for Jiao Yunda and then one for himself, "Come, Young Master Jiao, I toast to you to express my gratitude!"
"Haha, come, cheers." Jiao Yunda laughed heartily, then clinked glasses with Lin Mu and they started drinking.
All in all, whether it was Jiao Yunda bailing him out or rescuing Zhou Xun at a critical time, Lin Mu’s impression of Jiao Yunda was good, although they only knew each other without much contact before.
The two drank and chatted, overall making the drinking quite pleasant.
"Boss Lin, I’ve heard the Flying Dragon Group and Su’s Great Enterprise have established themselves in Wancheng. Truly admirable!" Jiao Yunda smiled and said.
"Not really, it’s just small-scale stuff. Compared to Young Master Jiao doing big business, it’s far behind. Young Master Jiao is truly the one doing great things!" Lin Mu said with a smile.
"Haha, Boss Lin, you’re being too modest." Jiao Yunda laughed heartily, then continued, "Boss Lin, I have a great investment opportunity, are you interested?"
"Haha, of course I’m interested, as long as it’s profitable, I’m interested!" Lin Mu smiled and said.
"Haha, that’s great! With Boss Lin joining, the project is halfway successful." Jiao Yunda said.
"Young Master Jiao, what profitable project?" Lin Mu asked with a smile.
"Rare metal trade." Jiao Yunda said.
"What kind of project is this? Gold?" Lin Mu asked.
"Indeed," Jiao Yunda nodded and said, "I’m currently discussing this with the Stern family of England. The Stern family is in the gold business, and in England, gold prices are relatively lower, but domestically prices keep rising. So I plan to import a large amount to the domestic market, with a per gram price difference of about a hundred yuan, making substantial profits!"
"Oh? That much!" Lin Mu was slightly surprised.
