The Strongest Talent Tree
Chapter 307 - 304: Hundred Flowers Immortal
Chapter 307: Chapter 304: Hundred Flowers Immortal
With that said, the two activated the Secret Realm Mark on their Genetic Trees. Space twisted around them, and they returned to the Central Square.
Night had fallen on the Ancient Cang Realm, and the Central Square was deserted. Looking up, two moons hung in the sky, their cool and warm light mingling to cast a mysterious hue over the plaza.
Feng Hao was in no mood to admire the moons. He grabbed Xi Yueyao’s hand and charged back into the Origin Node.
After passing through a kaleidoscopic void, they successfully teleported to the Fivefold Taixu Secret Realm. This time, they appeared in a lush rainforest. Strange and exotic plants grew so densely that when they looked up, they could barely see the sky.
"So this is the Fifth Secret Realm? It doesn’t look much different," Feng Hao muttered, frowning in suspicion.
Perhaps it was because of Yun Jiansong’s wretched state earlier that he’d expected the Fifth Secret Realm to be incredibly dangerous. But now that he was actually here, he found that the scenery wasn’t much different from the previous realms.
’Maybe the Spirit Beasts are just stronger here,’ Feng Hao guessed. He quickly spotted Xi Yueyao.
Xi Yueyao was sitting on a thick vine, happily using it as a swing. Below her was a dense patch of flowers where hundreds of beautiful butterflies fluttered, occasionally landing on her.
"Hee hee, look how beautiful these butterflies are!" Xi Yueyao said with a delicate laugh.
The sight left Feng Hao at a loss for words. "Yao Girl, we’re here to train, not to go sightseeing, alright?"
"It’s all the same," Xi Yueyao said nonchalantly, pouting.
Feng Hao rolled his eyes. "Get down from there," he said irritably. "We need to start exploring."
"No way! Just a little longer," Xi Yueyao said, continuing to swing without a care, refusing to come down.
Feng Hao shook his head helplessly and decided to let her have her fun. He leaned against a nearby tree, quietly watching her cheerful, adorable form.
Perhaps it was a case of beauty being in the eye of the beholder, but at that moment, framed by the flowers and butterflies, the young woman looked especially captivating. Her every expression pulled at Feng Hao’s heartstrings.
As he watched, however, his gaze was drawn to several warm, white petals among the flowers.
"Don’t move!"
He cried out, cautiously approaching the white flower. After examining it several times, his breathing grew ragged. ’Good heavens, could this be the noble of all flowers, the Hundred Flowers Immortal?’
Xi Yueyao froze, then curiously hopped off the vine. "What’s a Hundred Flowers Immortal?" she asked.
"It’s a rare medicinal herb, hailed as the noble of all flowers. When it appears, all other flowers are said to follow, which is how it got its name." Feng Hao’s heart pounded with excitement. "Judging by the petals and luster of this Hundred Flowers Immortal, it’s an absolute treasure."
"Is it good to eat?" Xi Yueyao asked, swallowing.
"You’re not a rabbit, why are you asking about eating plants?" Feng Hao said, exasperated. "This can be used to refine many top-tier pills."
"Oh." Xi Yueyao pursed her lips, looking a little disappointed.
Feng Hao eagerly took out his gathering tools. He carefully harvested the Hundred Flowers Immortal and sealed it away in his best herb case.
Having stumbled upon a Hundred Flowers Immortal, Feng Hao was ecstatic. His gaze toward Xi Yueyao grew even more heated. He couldn’t help but cup her little face and give her a firm kiss. "My dear girl, you’re my little lucky charm."
"Of course." Xi Yueyao was overjoyed by the kiss and couldn’t help but say smugly, "My luck is always good!"
"Hahaha..." Feng Hao roared with laughter. "From now on, when we’re exploring Secret Realms, you’re in charge. Whichever way you point, that’s where we’ll go."
"Really?" Xi Yueyao asked, delighted.
"Would I lie to you?" Feng Hao said with a gentle smile. "Tell me, which way should we explore next?"
Xi Yueyao gave a sweet laugh. After looking around for a moment, she pointed to the left. "I just have a feeling we’ll have good luck over there. Let’s go that way."
"No problem. All aboard!" Feng Hao wasted no time. With a wave of his hand, he summoned the Mansa.
Boarding, starting up, and taking off happened in one smooth sequence. The Mansa’s super-hard shell easily smashed through the dense canopy above, and it quickly soared into the sky, speeding off in the direction Xi Yueyao had indicated.
Back at the patch of flowers, not long after the two had left, several high-level Spirit Beasts charged in from different directions. Seeing that the Hundred Flowers Immortal had been stolen, they all began to roar—perhaps in anger, perhaps in sorrow.
In short, by simply pointing in a random direction, Xi Yueyao had managed to avoid an ambush by several high-level Spirit Beasts.
Of course, Feng Hao knew none of this. All he knew was that it was never a mistake to follow the young woman’s lead.
The Mansa streaked like a meteor over the lush rainforest, leaving its borders behind in less than half a day.
Guiding the Mansa to a gentle landing on a flat patch of grass, the two began to explore on foot.
As for why they didn’t continue flying, the reason was simple: Yao Girl felt it would be better to explore on foot after leaving the rainforest. And following her intuition was never a bad idea.
"Isn’t the Fifth Secret Realm supposed to be dangerous? How have we gone half the day without seeing a single Spirit Beast?" Xi Yueyao asked, her eyes full of confusion.
"Maybe there are just fewer Spirit Beasts in this area," Feng Hao guessed thoughtfully.
Xi Yueyao nodded thoughtfully, then chuckled. "Hey, pill-peddler, do you think that Xie Xiaoyu girl would drop dead from anger if she knew we were also in the Fifth Secret Realm?"
"..." Feng Hao felt a headache coming on. "What’s the deal with you and her, anyway? Were you born under opposing stars or something?"
Xi Yueyao pouted and huffed. "Hmph! That wretched girl is just asking for a beating."
"You’re both from the same academy. Is it really necessary?" Feng Hao asked, exasperated.
"You wouldn’t get it. As they say, two tigers can’t share one mountain—unless one is male and the other female," Xi Yueyao said, talking more to herself. "Back at Rongcheng Academy, Ran Girl was a perfect example."
Feng Hao was left speechless. ’She actually has a point,’ he thought.
"By the way, how are Beixing Ran and Zhou Chen doing? Have you heard anything in Rongcheng?" Feng Hao asked, looking up.
"You mean that shameless couple?" Xi Yueyao said, looking annoyed. "I hear Zhou Chen is doing quite well for himself in Thousand Blades Valley and was even taken in as a disciple by some high-ranking Elder. As for Ran Girl, she’s gotten even more stuck-up. According to news from the Beixing Family, she’s supposedly become the number one beauty of the War and Magic Alliance. Hmph! Ran Girl has been an ugly duckling since we were kids. Her, the number one beauty? Those people in the War and Magic Alliance must have rocks in their heads!"
Feng Hao couldn’t help but chuckle at her indignant expression. He smiled and consoled her, "You’re right. Those people at the War and Magic Alliance must have rocks in their heads. My girl is obviously the cutest one there is."
"Really?" Xi Yueyao asked, batting her eyelashes.
"Of course. My girl is the most beautiful girl in the entire universe."
"Hee hee, you have good taste, Brother Feng," Xi Yueyao said with satisfaction.
Feng Hao froze. Hearing her call him ’Brother Feng’ made his heart melt. His eyes lit up as he said, "Yao Girl, what did you just call me? Say it again!"
"Nope," Xi Yueyao said playfully.
"Come on, be good and say it one more time."
"I said no and I mean it." Xi Yueyao turned her head away haughtily, then suddenly pointed into the distance and exclaimed, "Hey! It sounds like there’s a fight happening over there."
"Nonsense. There’s no fighting. Don’t try to change the subject. Hurry up and call me Brother Feng again," Feng Hao said, feigning annoyance.
But she looked at him with a serious expression. "I’m not lying. I can really feel the fluctuations of a battle."
"Really?" Feng Hao paused, then subconsciously extended his Divine Sense in that direction.
