The Smiling Death
Chapter 598: Date With Seraphina [2]
"Let’s go get you some nice clothes," Amon suggested.
Seraphina looked at him in confusion. "Why? There’s no need."
"There is." Amon’s expression suddenly became serious. "My dear, I want to see you wearing all kinds of beautiful clothes."
There was no trace of joking in his voice.
He genuinely meant it. Amon had recently discovered an amazing clothing boutique in the city, and he had been curious about it ever since.
Now that he finally had a proper date with Seraphina, he wanted to take her there and pick out some clothes for her.
Seraphina sighed softly. "Fine. But this time, I’m paying for everything."
"Sure." Amon immediately agreed.
He wasn’t going to argue. Not because he didn’t want to pay, but because he already knew Seraphina was stubborn enough to refuse if he insisted.
’I’ll have to publish my book faster and get rich.’
He glanced at her.’Just you wait, Seraphina. One day, I’m going to buy you whatever you want.’
For now, however, he decided to let her have her way.
After walking for several minutes, the two of them gradually reached a deeper and more luxurious part of the city.
The atmosphere here was noticeably different from the busy streets they had passed through earlier.
The buildings were constructed from colorful tinted glass, reflecting the afternoon sunlight in beautiful shades across the streets. Well-dressed doormen stood outside the entrances of various high-end establishments, greeting customers with practiced politeness.
Amon slowed down when he spotted a particularly luxurious boutique.
Its large glass display windows were filled with mannequins dressed in elegant gowns, sophisticated suits, exquisite dresses, and other expensive-looking outfits.
Above the entrance was a glowing sign.
CRIMSON VELVET
Amon had passed this place many times while wandering around Elarith City.
But recently, he had learned something interesting about the store.
Despite its elegant appearance, Crimson Velvet wasn’t exclusively a women’s clothing shop.
It sold both men’s and women’s clothing, although the majority of its collection was aimed at women.
They had practically everything.Casual outfits, formal wear, nightwear, party dresses, traditional clothing and even wedding gowns.
There were clothes for almost every occasion one could imagine.
"Let’s go inside," Amon said.
Seraphina nodded. The moment they approached the entrance, the two doormen gave them polite bows.
The glass doors automatically slid open.
Amon and Seraphina stepped inside.
The interior was considerably larger than it appeared from outside.
The spacious hall was divided into multiple sections, each dedicated to different styles and occasions. Rows of clothing hung neatly from elegant racks, while mannequins displayed complete outfits throughout the store.
The atmosphere was quiet and sophisticated despite the number of customers.
They had only walked a few steps before a female attendant approached them.
"Welcome to Crimson Velvet."
She greeted them with a graceful smile and a slight bow.
"Please allow me to assist you. Are you looking for something specific today, or would you prefer to browse our latest collections?"
The attendant had immediately noticed the quality of their clothes and their refined appearance.
These were clearly customers from a wealthy background. And customers like that needed to be treated carefully.
Amon, in particular, was dressed in a well-tailored white shirt and gray trousers.
The outfit had been a gift from Scarlett.
Although it looked simple at first glance, it was made from expensive materials, and a tiny brand tag near the sleeve revealed its quality.
Amon smiled at the attendant. "Do you have any unique clothes?"
He paused. "Especially something for young couples? Something you know what I mean."
The attendant wasn’t surprised. She had encountered plenty of young couples from wealthy families who came looking for matching outfits or something special to wear for alone time.
Fortunately, Crimson Velvet had plenty of options.
"Yes, we do." She smiled professionally. "Please follow me."
Seraphina smiled softly as she followed Amon deeper into the store. The attendant led them toward a quieter section away from the main crowd.
There were still customers elsewhere in the boutique, but this particular area was much calmer.
She began showing them several different outfits. The first set consisted of matching shirts and trousers.
They weren’t covered in hearts or painted in embarrassing shades of pink.
Instead, they were simple and elegant, made from soft, lightweight navy-colored fabric.
Seraphina touched the material and
examined it carefully. "Let’s try these."
Amon nodded. "Sure. Why not?"
The two of them took the outfits into separate changing rooms. A few minutes later, they stepped out.
Amon looked at Seraphina. Seraphina looked at Amon. Neither said anything.
Then they both smiled. The outfits suited them surprisingly well. They tried several more combinations after that.
Some were casual. Others were slightly more formal. Amon enjoyed the process far more than he had expected.
Eventually, while Seraphina was examining another outfit, Amon glanced toward the attendant.
He subtly gestured for her to leave them alone for a while. The attendant immediately understood.
"There are many more clothes available in this section, so please feel free to look around."
She gave them a polite smile. "I’ll go assist some of the other customers. If you need anything, please call me."
"Thank you," Amon replied.
The attendant left. Seraphina watched her go before turning toward Amon.
He immediately became more energetic.
He started looking through the various racks with far too much enthusiasm.
Seraphina watched him from the side. A small chuckle escaped her lips. She had no idea what he was planning.
Judging by the excited look on his face, however, she suspected she was about to find out.
A few moments later, "Sera!"
Amon’s voice came from somewhere deeper inside the section. "I found something amazing!"
Seraphina looked up.
Amon came walking toward her with an excited grin. And in his right hand, he was holding something that made Seraphina’s expression freeze.
She instinctively took a step backward.
"Wh-why are you bringing that?"
She pointed at the outfit in his right hand.
It was a black-and-white color outfit.
Amon held it up proudly. "I want you to try it."
He gave her an innocent smile. "Please?"
Seraphina’s eyes widened. "B-but that’s a maid outfit!"
Amon tilted his head. "So?"
He looked genuinely confused. "What’s wrong with it?"
"What’s wrong with it?!" Seraphina’s face was already beginning to turn red.
She pointed accusingly at the outfit. "Why would I wear that?!"
Amon simply grinned. Then Seraphina’s gaze slowly shifted toward his other hand.
Her expression froze again. "And what’s that in your left hand?"
Amon looked down at what he was holding.
Then he looked back at Seraphina. A mischievous grin slowly appeared on his face.
"Oh, this?"
He casually raised his left hand. It was a black, shiny outfit made from a tight, glossy material, accompanied by a headband with two fluffy black rabbit ears.
A black semi transparent pantyhose.
Seraphina’s entire face turned crimson. She stared at it in disbelief.
Amon’s grin widened. "It’s a bunny-girl outfit."
He paused deliberately. Then, with absolutely no shame, he added, "More specifically, a latex bunny-girl suit."
Seraphina’s mouth opened, but no words came out. Her face became even redder.
"A-Amon!"
Amon burst into laughter. "Hehe~ Come on, Sera. Just try it once!"
"Absolutely not!"
Amon continued grinning as he held both outfits in his hands. ’This date is going exactly as planned.’
