Chapter 1999: 1944–1945: God-Devil Taoist Monarch
Chapter 1999: Chapter 1944–1945: God-Devil Taoist Monarch
Since the Realm and battle prowess at the True Immortal level are not the same, why do some people always think that the Realm and battle prowess at the Taoist Monarch level would be the same?
The Taoist Monarch is a Realm, and also a battle prowess. As long as mighty individuals occupy enough shares of the Dao Origin, they can be called Taoist Monarchs; similarly, even if they have mastered enough shares, if they cannot exert such power, they are not enough to be called Taoist Monarchs.
As for the so-called Taoist Monarch Tribulation, it is a test from Heaven and Earth on living beings. After all, when a cultivator masters a certain share of the Dao Origin, their identity will change, and they need to obtain recognition from Heaven and Earth.
For a powerful being like Zhu Jiuyin, who walks the paths of Innate Gods and Demons and Ancestral Witches, the Taoist Monarch Tribulation is not inevitable.
What are Innate Gods and Demons? They are born before Heaven and Earth, and they naturally master Daoist Rules. Gods and Demons like Zhu Jiuyin are indeed part of Heaven and Earth, or they are the incarnations of Daoist Rules.
As a God-Demon returning from ancient times, although Zhu Jiuyin has the bloodline of the human race, his god remains in the God-Demon category. If he chooses to follow the Immortal Path opened by the human race, he will naturally be influenced by the Immortal Path and will gradually lose his traces.
However, the path Zhu Jiuyin takes is not exactly the Immortal Path. He intercepts part of the essence of Immortal Path Cultivation and merges it into the Witch God Dao, the oldest skill imitating Gods and Demons, completely creating his own path.
The only difference between Zhu Jiuyin and the other Taoist Monarchs at this moment is that he has not experienced the trials and tribulations of Heaven and Earth, thus unable to receive the Heavenly Authority endowed by Heaven and Earth.
But this does not affect his mastery of the Time Dao, nor does it affect the battle prowess he can exert at the level equal to a Taoist Monarch at this moment.
“That is to say, outside of the Immortal Path, this God-Demon path can also reach its peak?” Yu Zhenzi frowned, seemingly thinking of many things.
“The Great Tao is vast, and the Immortal Path is merely the path with the most practitioners, but it doesn’t mean it’s the only path. Since even within the simple Immortal Path there are the categories of Heaven, Earth, Man, God, and Ghost, and there are many other paths, it is not surprising that the God-Demon path can also reach its peak.” Pei Xuanjing was indifferent.
The Great Tao is vast; the Immortal Path is the most suitable path for the Divine Land World, or it is the path most recognized by countless beings, hence the most cultivated path.
But this does not mean the Immortal Path is the only way. Not to mention the Path of God and Demon, in the process of continuously exploring the Realms of Heavenly Seas, countless cultivation systems discovered in these worlds can be compared to the Immortal Path Realm, seeking longevity.
Nothing is eternal and unchanging. Heaven and Earth and everything within are constantly changing. Even the Heaven, Earth, Man, God, and Ghost five paths initially proposed by Pei Xuanjing have vastly evolved and diverged from the past.
“This means the Witch God Sect Leader’s aim is to spread the Witch God Dao throughout the world, even the Realms of Heavenly Seas, making it a prominent field of cultivation, with countless people practicing, respecting the Ancestral Witches as the ultimate!” Yu Zhenzi stated his guess in a deep voice, shocked in his heart.
He finally understood what the Witch God Sect Leader’s real plot was.
The Witch God Sect Leader wants to change the world, or rather to make the Witch God Lineage’s cultivation method orthodox, even if it cannot replace the Immortal Path; at least, it should stand side by side with it.
Only this way can the Witch God Sect continue to expand and reach a higher peak.
“This test is probing the reactions of all sides; it is probing the attitude of the strong towards the Heavenly Court, and also trying to distinguish friends from foes.” Yu Zhenzi kept vocalizing his calculations.
Currently, in the Divine Land World or the Realms of Heavenly Seas, the Immortal Path is the sole revered system, but that does not mean other cultivation paths do not exist, nor that there are no strong practitioners.
On the contrary, in the past, such a thought by the Witch God Sect Leader might have been impossible because all parties were cultivators above the Immortal Path.
However, as the worlds continue to merge into the Divine Land World now, indeed many cultivation systems have been absorbed and integrated into the Immortal Path System, but many systems have also been retained, maintaining a degree of independence.
If the Witch God Sect Leader can unite these people, then this will inevitably gather an extremely powerful force.
“Haha, you’re exaggerating. The Witch God Sect Leader neither has such intentions nor can accomplish such a thing.” Pei Xuanjing chuckled softly.
One must say that Yu Zhenzi’s strategic vision is commendable, capable of discerning so much information from the limited actions of the Witch God Sect.
However, the other party overestimated the ambition of the Witch God Sect, or underestimated the various powers, failing to truly understand the core issues of the current situation.
It is perfectly fine to promote the Witch God Dao, but to say that replacing the current Immortal Path and making the Witch God Dao a dominant field, that is absolutely impossible. It is something all parties wouldn’t recognize.
Not to mention that the joint efforts of the current Taoist Monarchs of the Witch God Sect can’t achieve it, even with Pei Xuanjing’s support, it’s unattainable.
A thousand years are enough to solidify many things. At least, while the environment of Heaven and Earth remains largely unchanged, or as long as the Immortal Path can allow cultivators to attain longevity, its position is hard to shake.
A thousand years of development have made the Immortal Path flourish today, continuously perfecting the entire cultivation system, constantly mitigating flaws, and lowering barriers to allow more beings to practice.
In contrast, while the Witch God Dao of the Witch God Sect is indeed powerful, it also has many limitations. Not to mention whether the current Witch God Dao is perfect or has true accessibility.
Suffice it to say, is the position of the Twelve Ancestor Witches fixed? Can other beings on the Witch God Sect path, without attaining the Ancestral Witch Venerable Position, stand beside the Ancestral Witches?
This is a dilemma. If a cultivator on the Witch God Dao can stand beside the Ancestral Witches, then the uniqueness and position of these Ancestral Witches would be shaken.
But if cultivating the Witch God Dao ultimately leads to limited achievements, and no matter the endeavor, one is always inferior, then how can any other strong person be willing?
Therefore, it is destined that the Witch God Dao can develop and prosper, but to replace the current Immortal Path is simply impossible. All parties would not accept this, nor would numerous cultivators.
“Indeed, the current growth of the Immortal Path is because it is not heavily shackled, allowing everyone to walk their own unique path.” Yu Zhenzi suddenly realized his misunderstandings.
I annotate the Six Classics, the Six Classics annotate me.
The current continuous development of the Immortal Path is such that all strong individuals could learn what they wish from within this system, simultaneously reciprocally contributing to the Immortal Path, achieving each other, with a broad Future.
“But if Zhu Jiuyin truly had the Taoist Monarch battle prowess, why involve the Sect Leader’s intervention?” Wan Fayi questioned another reason in confusion.
He wasn’t involved in the discussions between the two Ancestral Masters, as these matters were not something he ought to consider.
Instead, he was curious about another matter. Knowing well that Zhu Jiuyin already possesses the Taoist Monarch battle prowess, then the collaboration of their Sect Leader and Law Enforcement Heavenly Monarch isn’t enough to deal with him, isn’t deploying their Sect Leader futile?
“How can sparring with a strong person yield no results, especially with a strong person possessing Taoist Monarch battle prowess as a sparring partner?” Pei Xuanjing didn’t speak, but Yu Zhenzi chuckled.
After confirming Zhu Jiuyin’s power, Yu Zhenzi didn’t continue questioning, because he understood why Pei Xuanjing was doing so.
For Pang Hong at this moment, having a Taoist Monarch-level sparring partner is a rare opportunity.
If he can gain insight through this, attaining Taoist Monarch will be without any issue.
