The Shining Star Above The Heaven

Chapter 1307: The Report Reach the Highest Heaven

After sending the artifacts to his treasure vault, Aldrian thought that his mission here was done.

He spread his domain sense, and he could sense the destruction he had caused because of the battle with the gods. There was no one alive inside his domain, and the destruction caused by the battle extended far beyond it.

He knew that he had already killed many people with his attacks, but he did not feel anything about it.

Most of those were forces on Avergis' side rather than Tarius' side, and the ones he had killed were only a tiny portion of Avergis' entire force in the Second Heaven.

There might have been many people who did not intend to be dragged into this trouble, and maybe they had lived their lives with upright principles.

But if he really wanted to return to the place where he belonged, if he really wanted to retake the entire universe, then he would have to be cold enough to kill anyone who stood on the side of his enemies.

These deaths were a present for the beings of his universe, for his followers who had died because of those invaders.

These deaths were necessary for the future.

Aldrian then used his control over his domain to make it inaccessible by creating a giant formation that covered the entire domain in a thick red mist.

The red mist was formed from the energy absorbed from the surrounding environment before being concentrated into the area inside the domain.

The density of the devil energy inside the domain was several times greater than outside it. In fact, the energy outside became thinner because it was continuously being sucked into the domain.

Anyone inside Tarius' followers' territory could sense the change, and they were confused about what had happened in the depths of the territory.

What had happened after that great battle?

All they could see was a thick red mist suddenly covering the horizon, preventing them from seeing anything beyond it.

All of them only dared to move forward again after waiting for a few minutes and confirming that there was no further movement.

With the deaths of many of Tarius' followers, their territory within this domain was easily subdued. But the casualties were extremely high because of the unexpected great battle between the gods.

From that moment onward, reports began spreading that Tarius' side had an unknown god capable of killing millions of people with each of his attacks.

----------------------

"Bastard!"

Inside Avergis' white realm, the god could no longer maintain his calm expression and composed demeanor.

It had already been so long since he had shown such an expression, maybe since the great war billions of years ago.

He could sense what had happened in the place where Aldrian was. Although Tarius still kept disturbing his connection to the Second Heaven, he could still sense that he had entirely lost control over another part of the heaven.

It left him confused because that territory was where he had allowed Tarius' followers to build their civilization and spread their influence.

Not long after that, he sensed that one of his Divine Realm followers had actually died! Then another two followed, with only one of them still alive at this moment.

He also sensed that many of his followers had died. The sudden rise in the number of dead souls, reaching into the millions, was something that had never happened during the past billions of years.

Avergis' mind immediately thought of Aldrian.

After remaining hidden and showing no sign of his whereabouts for so some times, Aldrian had finally revealed himself once again. But Avergis was confused as to why he had appeared within Tarius' territory.

Avergis thought that Aldrian might be there, killing everyone, including Tarius' followers.

But another confusing part was that, for a brief moment, his connection to his apostle suddenly became much stronger.

He was certain that his apostle was not in the Second Heaven, yet for that brief instant, he felt as though his apostle had appeared there before disappearing once again.

That immediately made him think of the place where he had completely lost control, the very same place where Aldrian had revealed his existence.

With so much happening in the Second Heaven, he truly wanted to send an entire army of Divine Realm cultivators to deal with the situation. He even thought about sending one of his avatars personally. He wanted to see everything there with his own eyes.

But with Tarius continuing to interfere with him while constantly keeping an eye on him, Avergis knew that Tarius would prevent him from doing such a thing, even if he had to come personally and fight him.

At this moment, Tarius was someone who could do something extreme over even the slightest misunderstanding.

Tarius would consider him sending a force or his avatar to the Second Heaven as an attempt to strengthen his powers there.

Avergis doubted that Tarius would even listen to his explanation.

As Avergis was still thinking about the matter, a male voice suddenly resounded as if the speaker were standing right in front of him, even though there was no one there.

"My lord, I have received information that the Northern Emperor has already ascended to the Eighth Heaven and will reach the Ninth Heaven a short moment later."

Avergis raised his eyebrows, but then he frowned.

"Are you sure that it is the Northern Emperor?" he asked.

"Yes, my lord. It is said that many people have already seen her since the Third Heaven. It looks like she abandoned Tarius' followers in the Second Heaven."

Avergis kept frowning.

"Has the Southern Emperor also ascended with her?" he asked.

"As of this moment, there has been no report of him, my lord. So he should still be in the Second Heaven," the voice answered.

Avergis frowned even deeper. He could not help but feel that something was terribly wrong. A strong sense of unease filled his heart, and he had no intention of ignoring it.

The intuition of a god was something that could be connected to the events of the universe and the secrets of heaven, whether they had already happened or had yet to happen.

It could be connected to events that would affect a god, whether in the future, the present, or even the past.

Their intuition could serve as a sign from one of their many possible futures, from the present, or even from the past itself.

Now, at this moment, the fact that the Northern Emperor was still alive and had successfully ascended gave Avergis an extremely bad feeling.

He knew that the Northern Emperor had been staying in the same area where Aldrian had appeared just now.

He had thought that Aldrian had already killed all of Tarius' followers, along with his own.

But for the Northern Emperor to still be alive and even ascend...

'Did she manage to escape from him, or did something else happen?' Avergis thought.

After a few moments of silence, he spoke into the silent realm.

"Keep watch on Tarius' side. The fact that the Northern Emperor returned while the Southern Emperor has not, despite there being no report of his death, is highly suspicious."

"As you will, my lord," the voice responded before the realm fell silent once again.

Avergis released a sigh, and even his sigh carried the comprehension of countless laws.

'I hope the problems of the future do not escalate beyond control,' he thought.

He stood up, put his hands behind his back, and clenched his fists.

'Damnit... From what I can see, many of my futures lead to a grim fate.'

----------------------------

In another place, the Northern Emperor had already reached the Ninth Heaven and arrived at Tarius' realm.

She was inside a realm whose scenery resembled hell.

There was not a single living being in sight.

The only sights that could be seen were those that could be described as every negative aspect of the universe gathered into one place.

Black flames that could burn an entire level of heaven, dense death laws that permeated the entire realm and could engulf half of the underworld, extreme cold that could freeze even time itself, and many other unpleasant things that would make anyone feel uncomfortable just imagining them—all of them could be found here.

Any cultivators below the Divine Realm who entered this realm would surely die because they could not withstand the terrifying power contained within it.

The Northern Emperor, who had already visited this place several times in the past, paid no attention to her surroundings.

She already knew where she had to go, and this time she flew quickly, even though she knew it was somewhat inappropriate since this was the realm where her god resided.

After flying for a few minutes, she finally landed on a flat plain. In the distance, atop a high ground, Tarius sat in meditation upon a mat formed from death energy.

The Northern Emperor instantly kowtowed before Tarius, but before she could say anything, Tarius spoke first.

"Skip the greetings and get to the point. The fact that you left the Second Heaven at this moment, leaving my followers there to their deaths, means it must be something important."

The Northern Emperor swallowed the words she had been about to say and immediately began her report.

"My lord, I have an urgent report that you must know..." ℯℯ𝑙.

She then recounted her encounter with Aldrian and their conversation regarding Avergis.

As Tarius listened to the Northern Emperor's report, he frowned deeply.
