Chapter 1294: Life in the Village

The avatar then talked about some of his adventures in the First Heaven and his family. Rafen, who listened to the avatar with complete focus, was truly astonished by how the Great Emperor lived.

In the past, the Great Emperor's figure and character were already known to everyone. Although he was shocked by how powerful the Great Emperor was despite being a mortal, he did not find it impossible.

The Great Emperor was an incomprehensible being whose origin was said to be unknown. Rafen easily accepted that his strength was beyond all common knowledge, to the point that even the heavens could do nothing to him.

However, to think that the Great Emperor now had a wife. No, a harem!

Everyone knew that in the past, the Great Emperor had been a solitary being who was tied to no one. Forget about a wife. He did not even seem to have any family.

He and many other men knew that countless goddesses had secretly been interested in the Great Emperor. They understood it clearly and did not find it surprising.

He had already met some of those women and had even talked to them about it.

The Great Emperor was a perfect being whose face could captivate even the heavens themselves.

However, those women only dared to keep their feelings hidden and never dared to reveal them to the Great Emperor, not even a little.

They actually found it too blasphemous to have that kind of feeling toward the Great Emperor, but they simply could not help it. The Great Emperor's charm was so overwhelming that a single glance was enough for countless women to develop romantic feelings for him.

However, the Great Emperor never seemed interested in such mundane feelings, as shown by the way he acted in front of countless beauties. He was never seen being intimately close to any woman, not even those closest to him, such as the Phoenix God, Goddess Feng Xuanyan, or the Divine Spirit Seralis.

He was more like an elder figure filled with wisdom toward everyone without exception.

So imagining him having a wife, or even a harem, was like imagining a monk suddenly having a harem.

In other words, it felt so weird and completely out of character!

The mere thought alone was enough to make anyone shudder.

But now the Great Emperor actually not only had a wife but also a harem? He did not even want to imagine what would happen if this news spread to all those women from the Great Emperor's era, assuming they were still alive.

There would likely be some crazy women who would try their luck even if it meant offending the Great Emperor. The fact that the Great Emperor himself had a harem already showed that he had changed. He had become more human, with mundane feelings and even lust.

After hearing all of the avatar's stories, Rafen sighed. His feelings were mixed.

He was still amazed by everything the Great Emperor had achieved up to this moment, even though he had yet to return to his peak. However, he still needed time to get used to the fact that the Great Emperor now had his own family and even a harem.

"As expected of Your Majesty. You have achieved many things that no being could ever copy. I would also like to meet Your Majesty's family in the future," Rafen said.

The avatar nodded with a smile.

"You will see them once they ascend."

The avatar looked toward the entrance of the building, which was covered by nothing more than a single piece of cloth.

"Anyway, we can continue talking about our lives another time. It would not be good to keep all of them waiting outside," he said.

Rafen nodded.

"Yes, Your Majesty."

He then informed those waiting outside through voice transmission, and they entered. There were Varmak, Ursan Greendew, along with several other spirits and spiritual beasts in their human forms.

They took the vacant seats, but they still kept their distance from the avatar and Rafen.

"His Majesty wants to see all of you to discuss some matters with all of you. However, first introduce yourselves to His Majesty," Rafen said while sweeping his gaze across the more than fifteen people gathered inside the room.

"Then let me begin. Although Your Majesty already knows me, it would not hurt to introduce myself more formally. I am Ursan Greendew, the current tribe lord of the Celestial Mountain Spirit Tribe," he said while standing before giving a respectful bow.

Without saying anything, the person sitting beside him stood up. He was a man with short blue hair, and two small horns protruded from his forehead.

"This servant is Regiros Blediaman, the current tribe lord of the Eastern Heavenly Sea Spirit Tribe. It is truly an honor to finally meet Your Majesty."

He then bowed before the person beside him stood up.

"This servant is Que Yuxin, the current leader of..."

One by one, everyone inside the room introduced themselves. Varmak was no exception.

He was actually not directly under the group gathered in this place, as he belonged to the resistance group in one of the underground cities within this domain.

He acted as one of the informants responsible for building the information network throughout this region.

The avatar listened to each of their names before nodding with a smile. The village, along with the entire forest, was home to many different races of spirits and spiritual beasts.

With so many different races, each naturally had its own group, and every group had its own representative in the form of its leader. The people gathered inside the room were the leaders of those different groups.

He did not know whether everyone in the room represented every race throughout the forest, but he believed they already represented everyone living in the village.

The avatar then stood up.

"Now I have heard all of your names, the names of the great warriors who have remained steadfast in your belief as the people of this universe while doing your part as the resistance against those invaders instead of submitting to their will. For that, I truly admire all of you."

The others felt proud upon hearing the avatar's praise, and it filled them with a sense of fulfillment. They felt they had accomplished something great.

"Now that we know each other, let us talk about something else. I know that all of you have been waiting for a long time to strike back against those invaders. Now I will tell you my plan regarding it. I am confident that once everything is done, we will be able to retake the entire Second Heaven."

The others' expressions turned solemn, and they became even more focused. Rafen's heart trembled upon hearing those words.

Hearing such confidence from the Great Emperor gave him a different feeling deep inside his heart.

If anyone else had said something like that, he would have only scoffed at their arrogance.

But if it was the Great Emperor, then that was another matter. The Great Emperor was like the heavens themselves. If it was his will that they would achieve victory, then he believed they would indeed emerge victorious!

The avatar then began discussing the future war. The others also offered their opinions regarding how they should carry out Aldrian's plan in their region.

After discussing the plan, they continued by talking about each of the tribes living in the village.

Just as the avatar had thought, the leaders inside the room were only the leaders of the groups living within the village. There were other races that had chosen to live throughout the forest, but they did not have enough time to reach the village before he arrived.

After all, his identity had only been discovered after he was already on his way toward the core area. Those leaders who were already on their way still needed some time to reach this place.

They conversed for a few hours, and during that time, some other leaders from different races finally arrived and introduced themselves. They quickly joined the conversation as well.

After they finished their discussion, Rafen took the avatar on a stroll across the village. The avatar wanted to see the village in its entirety and understand the living conditions of the people here.

Most of the people living here led simple lives. The way they lived was not much different from that of humans.

The spiritual beasts cultivated their own food in large fields near the village. They raised everything from crops to ordinary livestock such as cows and sheep.

As for the spirits, most of them did not eat in the same way as spiritual beasts or humans. Instead, they absorbed natural resources such as energy stones supplied by one of the mines within the core area as well as from outside for their growth.

The children played throughout the village while also learning many things from their elders.

There were also those who were allowed to leave the core area, like Acilis. They were individuals directly assigned by their tribe leaders and approved by the highest authority in this place, Ursan Greendew, the leader of the Celestial Mountain Spirit Tribe.

Those who had never stepped outside the core area were considered not strong enough to do so. Only carefully selected individuals were permitted to leave the core area, and every one of them was a spirit or spiritual beast possessing greater strength and talent than the others.

After the avatar had seen everything in the village, he decided that it was enough and that he had to return to his own mission in this domain.

He had already achieved what he wanted to do in this place, and it was time to continue wreaking havoc across the Second Heaven.

Rafen actually wanted the avatar to stay a little longer, but he knew that he could not hinder the Great Emperor in his mission.

"I hope you succeed in whatever you do out there, Your Majesty. May glory always follow you," Rafen said.

The avatar smiled and nodded.

"We will meet again."

The avatar left the village with Acilis and Varmak escorting him.

A few hours later, they returned to the city, and from there the avatar parted ways with Varmak.
