Chapter 544: Chapter 544: Wedding Speech

The thought of being able to return to her home country made Han Xiaoqing very happy.

Han Xiaoqing smiled. "Yes, I don’t have any morning sickness yet, and I’m feeling great."

Han Xiaorui smiled too. "Now you’re married, and soon you’ll be a mother. You’re truly a grown-up! From now on, you’re starting a new life that’s all your own."

’I hope my sister will be safe and happy.’ This was her most heartfelt wish for her.

The excellent test results for the three children today had made their entire group very happy.

After returning home and seeing Mr. Chen and Mrs. Chen, Han Xiaorui’s attitude changed significantly.

However, this was predicated on Mr. and Mrs. Chen changing their attitudes first.

Evidently, the Chen couple didn’t want any last-minute problems with the wedding either.

Mrs. Chen apologized sincerely. "Xiao Rui, Xiao Jing, I was wrong before! I just felt that after being separated from Wenxuan for so many years, I wanted to keep him by my side, and I neglected your aspirations."

"Wenxuan’s father has already criticized me harshly, and I’ve recognized my mistake! I apologize for my previous petty thoughts, and from now on, I will fully support your careers."

"Even though you’ll be returning to your country in the future, we are still family! No matter what, I will always do everything in my power to help you."

Han Xiaoqing smiled. "Thank you for your support!"

Han Xiaorui then took over the conversation. "Xiao Jing and Wenxuan are naturally grateful that you and Mr. Chen have come to this understanding. As elders, you always want to arrange everything perfectly for your children so they can avoid pitfalls. That’s an understandable sentiment."

"I’m a parent myself, so I can empathize with how you feel. But as the old saying goes, ’Every generation will have its own fortune.’ Since they have their own dreams and goals, we should let them live according to their own ideas and achieve their own life goals."

"Actually, whether you look at it from the perspective of personal development or the Chen family’s future strategy, it’s quite good for Wenxuan and Xiao Jing to be in Hua Country. After all, no one can guarantee that the West will always lead in technology and remain prosperous."

"Our Hua Country has thousands of years of history. As long as we have a stable environment, our development is just a matter of time! By then, Wenxuan and Xiao Jing’s careers in Hua Country might become a fallback plan for the Chen family, or even another path for growth."

Hearing this, Mrs. Chen and Mr. Chen looked at each other, astonishment in their eyes.

Mr. Chen nodded. "Xiao Rui, you’re right! ’He who does not plan for the future will find trouble at his doorstep.’ Although the West seems to be thriving right now, their greatest enemy, Mao Bear, has already collapsed. What we’re seeing now is the victor’s revelry."

"At the same time, this will cause many in the West to lower their guard, indulge in pleasure, and lose their drive. Countless examples have proven the truth in the saying, ’Adversity breeds strength, while comfort leads to ruin.’ Perhaps in twenty or thirty years, the situation will be vastly different."

People like Mr. and Mrs. Chen not only possessed high levels of education but also had very sharp business minds.

They might have had some cognitive biases, but once they understood the situation clearly, they could generally maintain a clear perspective on the big picture.

This was especially true for Mr. Chen, who had come to this conclusion after deep consideration, particularly after hearing his son’s analysis of great power strategy.

Han Xiaorui and Ye Feng held their breath, listening intently to Mr. Chen’s insights.

Although there was a great deal of uncertainty in Mr. Chen’s tone, to Han Xiaorui’s ears, it was a certainty.

Because she knew the future was bright. Only Hua Country could be revitalized, and only the Chinese Nation could lead all of humanity forward.

"Mr. Chen, Ye Feng and I share your view. We persevered through such difficult conditions back then, and we can do it again in the future."

"Wenxuan is very talented. He has room to shine whether he’s in Hua Country or abroad. While you’re overseas, you don’t need to worry about things back home. Ye Feng and I will look after them and ensure their lives go smoothly."

"When they have their child, I have ways to help them with childcare, allowing their child to grow up in a very relaxed and privileged environment."

Mrs. Chen used tea in place of wine, stood up, and toasted Han Xiaorui. "Xiao Rui, it was all my fault before. I was too narrow-minded. I apologize to you and Xiao Jing here and now, and I hope you can forgive me."

Han Xiaorui smiled. "Mrs. Chen, please don’t say that. We’re all family. As long as we talk things through when there’s an issue, everything will be fine. Although we will be thousands of miles apart in the future, our ancestors taught us, ’May we all be blessed with longevity, though far apart, we are still able to share the beauty of the same moonlight.’ They also taught us that as long as we hold each other in our hearts, distance is not an issue at all."

Mrs. Chen no longer dared to underestimate Han Xiaorui. No wonder she could handle the Xu family’s untamable grandson, Ye Feng, and have him wrapped around her finger.

"That’s true. I remember reciting ’A bosom friend afar brings a distant land near’ when I was a child. Thinking back on it now, the meaning is so profound and rich. Someone who isn’t part of our Chinese Nation couldn’t possibly understand its deep significance."

Mr. Chen agreed. "Yes, no matter how good it is here in Germany, our roots are in Hua Country. That is beyond doubt. The past twists and turns were not due to individuals, but the tides of the era. No one else is to blame."

"Now that the situation has changed, our thinking must also change. We can’t cling to old ways, or we’re bound to be left behind by the times."

Although Han Xiaorui and Ye Feng didn’t really believe that Mr. and Mrs. Chen truly felt this way in their hearts, at least they appeared to on the surface.

Today, in an atmosphere of "I’m okay, you’re okay, everyone’s okay," the two families reached a "reconciliation."

The next day, the wedding was held as scheduled.

In the solemn church, Han Xiaoqing, dressed in a pure white wedding gown, walked down the aisle on the arm of her brother-in-law, Ye Feng.

Taking the place of her father, Ye Feng gave Han Xiaoqing’s hand to Chen Wenxuan.

Ye Feng said in a low voice, "Wenxuan, life is a long road. You will have the sweetness of love, but you will also have conflicts in daily life. But when you argue, you must remember that you came together because of love."

"For the sake of that love, please restrain yourselves. Don’t act on impulse, and more importantly, don’t say things to hurt each other. When you encounter problems, solve them based on the facts. This is what I’ve learned from my own years of marriage, and I hope it can offer you some insight."

Chen Wenxuan was moved, his gaze firm. "Brother-in-law, I’ll remember that, and I’ll live by it."

"Good!" Ye Feng watched as Chen Wenxuan took Han Xiaoqing’s arm and they walked toward the priest.

At that moment, Han Xiaorui’s eyes were slightly red.

’Her sister was married. She had a husband who loved her, and soon she would have a child.’

’There might have been some conflict with her mother-in-law before, but that wasn’t the entirety of life; it was just a trivial detail.’

’If you find it useful, keep it.’

’If it’s useless, just throw it in the trash.’

’From beginning to end, you and your own family are the focus of your life.’

’Only then can you travel light, start a new life, and achieve your dreams.’

’Her sister was the best.’
