The Rule-Breaker of the Doomsday Game

Chapter 393: Since You're Already Here, Eating Two-Thirds of You Isn't Too Much, Right?

  • Next Chapter

At the center of innumerable swarms of alien Cyanobacteria, a young woman with a beauty that perfectly matched human standards drained the Exhausted Planet of its last ounce of resources.

The entire planet now fell into a dead silence. There might have been a few scraps left, but it wasn't worth its time to continue.

Its form-fitting, emerald-green robe clung to its body. Its gaze suddenly shot into the distance.

It could sense danger approaching.

It shot out a hand, blocking a ferocious fist that arrived in an instant.

If that punch had connected, its force would have undoubtedly caved in its cheek.

"Looks human, but you're not." Qi Suian pulled back his fist. A domain of Profound Virus spread out, instantly killing all the writhing swarms of alien Cyanobacteria and clearing a space around him.

He sized up the Green Tide Lord, grumbling to himself.

'It's clearly an alien life form, some kind of algae, yet it takes on a human form that perfectly aligns with human beauty standards.'

'That perfect figure, those alluring curves... It's quite the bombshell.'

He had never actually seen the Green Tide Lord before; he'd always pictured a giant blob of Slime snot.

A thought flashed through Qi Suian's mind. 'Could this be the female lead?'

The thought made Qi Suian ecstatic. He wanted to kill it even more now.

He hadn't run into a female lead in a long time. It was always a major loss to only get one serving of a protagonist's "plot armor."

The Green Tide Lord sensed Qi Suian's excitement, and a look of disgust filled its eyes.

It had clearly misunderstood his true intentions.

Qi Suian had absolutely no desire for any sort of... procreative exchange with the Green Tide Lord. He just wanted to toss it into a private suite in his Melting Furnace as fuel.

"I gave you a chance. Not only did you refuse to leave, you even thought about..." the Green Tide Lord began.

Its voice was beautiful. Anyone else might have been so mesmerized they couldn't even stand straight.

But Qi Suian was different. He saw that beautiful voice as some kind of charm ability—a prelude to an attack.

So, without hesitation, he attacked. He took advantage of the opening while it was speaking, lunging forward with a Rising Dragon Fist.

His move caught the Green Tide Lord completely off guard.

The Rising Dragon Fist sent it flying backward. Since it had been mid-sentence, it bit its tongue in half, and the severed piece fell to the ground.

With lightning-fast reflexes, Qi Suian snatched the tongue out of the air.

'I was just going to toss this into the Melting Furnace for fuel,' he thought.

However, the Ghost Monster Soul Seed within his Profound Yang Qi suddenly stirred, and Qi Suian paused.

The next part was simple. He popped it into his mouth and began to chew. It had the texture of seaweed.

He hadn't even swallowed when a pure energy began to spread out. It was similar to life force, possessing nourishing, tempering, and strengthening properties.

Qi Suian immediately channeled it into his Profound Yang Qi, which instantly converted it into nourishment for the Ghost Monster Soul Seed, causing its growth to jump forward.

'If I eat about two-thirds of it, the ghost monster should finish developing.'

'The remaining third can be used for research.'

'I'm such a great homemaker!'

Qi Suian looked at the Green Tide Lord, which hadn't even had a chance to get up, and prepared to follow up with a charge and a stomp.

As for how he'd eat it after stomping on it? 'A little dirt never hurt anyone.'

But after taking that vicious punch, the Green Tide Lord had seen just how truly sinister Qi Suian was and scrambled to react.

BAM—

The stomp failed, but the charge succeeded.

Qi Suian's charge shattered the Green Tide Lord's sternum, sending its entire body flying backward once again.

Qi Suian could clearly see it vomit a mass of internal organs.

"Can't let this go to waste." Qi Suian reached out and snagged it all.

His skin writhed, devouring the mass and converting it into energy for his Profound Yang Qi.

"A mere third-tier life form... How could you..."

Having learned its lesson, the Green Tide Lord scrambled to its feet much faster this time.

It was muttering curses at Qi Suian, but it hadn't even finished a word when, just as it stood up, Qi Suian landed a vicious kick to its groin.

The Green Tide Lord's face turned green.

The gender it presented was female, and its anatomy was remarkably human, so Qi Suian's attack was a critical hit.

Its body folded like a shrimp. Qi Suian seized the opportunity, grabbing its head and slamming it down into his rising knee.

The silky-smooth combo caved its entire face in.

Qi Suian followed up with a powerful kick to its abdomen, sending it flying once more.

It wasn't that Qi Suian was being excessive; the creature had been beaten into a frenzy and was no longer maintaining its humanoid form.

From the caved-in ruin of its face, vast quantities of Cyanobacteria began to spill out.

"Now that's more like it. Why limit yourself to a human form?"

"You're an aggregate of alien Cyanobacteria swarms, so why insist on a human appearance?" Qi Suian said with a grin, flicking some of the alien Cyanobacteria off his hand.

The Green Tide Lord landed and staggered a few steps before steadying itself.

Now, however, it no longer looked human at all. Only a faint outline of its original shape remained.

"You're definitely not an ordinary third-tier life form."

"In the entire universe, someone who can..."

The Green Tide Lord continued to drone on, but Qi Suian wasn't about to indulge it. His fists showed no mercy.

This time, Qi Suian used Polymorphic Energy. Under his Great Hand Seal, it had no strength to resist and was instantly crushed flat.

But countless Cyanobacteria spilled out from under the Great Hand Seal. Instead of reforming, they surged toward Qi Suian like a tide.

'If the Fiber Worms and the Fei weren't being used as reinforcement materials, it wouldn't be clear who was eating whom.'

Qi Suian found this regrettable. However, the tide of Cyanobacteria couldn't get anywhere near him.

Despite his current human appearance, Qi Suian wasn't actually human. He was an energy-based, virus-type, humanoid life form.

If he didn't control his Profound Virus, he was nothing more than a walking, humanoid catastrophe.

"Since you're here, you might as well stay."

Qi Suian's body began to swell, transforming into a mass of countless writhing viral tendrils. They formed a gigantic canopy of flesh and blood that ensnared the entire tide of Cyanobacteria.

A horrific chewing sound echoed as the trapped tide of Cyanobacteria became Qi Suian's meal.

But the tide of Cyanobacteria was too vast to be captured completely. He had only managed to net about a third of it.

The rest, sensing Qi Suian's intent to devour it, hastily fled.

"Damn it, you're definitely not a third-tier life form!" In its panic, the Green Tide Lord reverted to its human form, its face deathly pale.

It had just lost a third of its power, which was currently being chewed up inside Qi Suian's massive form.

By now, it could see that it was at a clear disadvantage.

'I shouldn't have clashed with him head-on from the start. I should have used my racial advantage, turned this entire Exhausted Planet into my domain, and then used my home-field advantage to crush him.'

That was the strategy it should have followed.

It shouldn't have fought this abnormal creature right after its birth, having only just emerged from its period of weakness.

It was a normal oversight. After all, it had only been "born" a day ago. Even with its inherited racial knowledge, it needed real-world practice to apply it effectively.

'The mind knows, but the body doesn't.'

It was for this very reason that the Green Tide Lord couldn't leverage its advantages and was getting completely pummeled by Qi Suian.

By the time it realized this, the situation had already shifted against it.

The best option now was to flee. Otherwise, it would be completely devoured by Qi Suian sooner or later.

Having made its decision, the Green Tide Lord turned to flee.

It didn't just run; it also directed all the alien Cyanobacteria swarms under its control to form a barrier, hoping to slow Qi Suian's pursuit.

But Qi Suian wasn't an idiot. How could he miss such an obvious ploy?

"Hehehe, where do you think you're going?" Qi Suian let out a wicked laugh as his colossal form surged toward the Green Tide Lord.

All the swarms of alien Cyanobacteria in his path were swept into his body, getting crunched and mashed.

Despite his massive size, his speed wasn't the least bit slow.

"Damn it." The Green Tide Lord glanced hatefully at the twisted monster of flesh chasing it. 'If I don't do something...'

'I'll definitely be eaten.'

Gritting its teeth one last time, its body split, turning from one person into two.

Both were its true body, and they fled in opposite directions.

As long as one of them could escape Qi Suian's gaping maw, it could lie dormant and regrow.

Seeing this, Qi Suian considered splitting as well, but unfortunately, he lacked that ability. He could only pick one of the Green Tide Lords and give chase.

The other Green Tide Lord, having successfully escaped with its life, was filled with a burning hatred.

'With only a third of my original self left, it'll take hundreds of years to recover.'

'I can't stay on this planet; I have no advantage here.' The Green Tide Lord's gaze fell upon the Moon in the sky.

That satellite, orbiting the Exhausted Planet, still had some resources.

'If I can occupy it, it would be perfect, whether as a springboard into space or as a means to deal with Qi Suian.'

'Especially the latter. If I could turn the tables and devour Qi Suian, I could definitely make up for my own inherent deficiencies.'

The idea was nice, but one look at that thing told it that it wouldn't go down easy. 'If I ate it, it might just grow right back out of my own body.'

'I have to find the space capsule that brought me to this planet. Otherwise, in my current state, I have no way of reaching space.'

A complete Green Tide Lord would have had no trouble, but in its current state, it couldn't possibly cross the distance to the Moon.

'Fortunately, it's not too far. I can make it in time.' The Green Tide Lord sensed the location and quickened its pace.

It had sacrificed two-thirds of itself to escape Qi Suian. It couldn't let that sacrifice be for nothing.
