The Rule-Breaker of the Doomsday Game
Chapter 390: The Alien Embryo in the Planet's Core: Green Tide Lord
With the major factions leaderless, Qi Suian appeared out of nowhere.
He showed no mercy and had no political agenda, relying solely on violence to establish a reign of terror.
Then, an AI took over management, and in just three days, they began construction on the array formation.
"The Demon King Council? What kind of edgelord faction is this?" Qi Suian muttered, looking at the intelligence provided by the AI.
He couldn't quite understand it. The Exhausted Planet had declined to this extent; how could there still be a hidden faction?
Taking a closer look, he realized it wasn't some hidden faction, just a group of wannabes whose ambitions were loftier than the heavens but whose fates were more fragile than paper.
"Demon King Cyanobacteria, an extraterrestrial lifeform that devours planetary energy."
"I can understand using it, but… you turned it into a biological weapon and caused the exhaustion of the entire planet."
"This is what I don't get. Even your technology was a gift from this Demon King Cyanobacteria, just for its amusement. How could you even think of using the power it gave you to try and control it?"
Qi Suian's gaze fell on the middle-aged man before him.
This was a survivor from the Demon King Council.
After Qi Suian made his move to control the entire planet, how could that group of self-proclaimed elites in the Demon King Council possibly accept it?
In their eyes, the planet was already in their grasp. How could they tolerate someone beating them to the punch? So, they had to resist.
Their resistance failed, and most of them were killed.
The remaining members were even more resentful and planned to release the Demon King Cyanobacteria.
But they suffered heavy casualties along the way, leaving only this man to be captured alive.
The intelligence had also been obtained from him.
In Qi Suian's view, the so-called Demon King Cyanobacteria was just a parasitic lifeform on the scale of a planetary civilization.
As for it being turned into a biological weapon, it was most likely the Demon King Cyanobacteria developing on its own.
The middle-aged man's eyes were filled with resentment and defiance as he looked at Qi Suian. The perfect situation they had built was stolen by some nobody.
How could he ever accept such a defeat?
"Where is the Demon King Cyanobacteria?" Qi Suian asked.
"Pah! Like you're worthy!" the middle-aged man cursed, unyielding even in the face of death. He even arrogantly spat at Qi Suian.
Qi Suian dodged quickly and wasn't hit. Instead, he was pondering something.
'Is this guy really that stupid?'
'Or is a protagonist's halo preventing me from finding it?'
"Let me go! I can let you join the Hero Project and become one of the rulers." The middle-aged man seemed to have lost his mind.
But Qi Suian narrowed his eyes. "I see. You want to die."
No matter how dim-witted someone was, they wouldn't act like this. The man wanted to die, so he was deliberately acting like an idiot to provoke Qi Suian.
All to make Qi Suian kill him as quickly as possible.
"Living is more terrifying than death, so you're afraid of the Demon King Cyanobacteria."
"In other words, you actually found the Demon King Cyanobacteria, but you retreated, and only then were you captured."
Qi Suian immediately pieced together the middle-aged man's intentions and his recent movements.
This caused the middle-aged man's pupils to constrict. Then, biting the bullet, he said, "That's right. You guessed it."
"The Demon King Cyanobacteria is already experiencing an algal bloom. It's breaking out of its shell."
An algal bloom refers to the rapid, large-scale proliferation of algae, causing an aquarium to be overwhelmed.
"They have a consciousness, and they will erode the minds of humans, turning everyone into their puppets."
"I just… want to die with a little dignity." The man's eyes held a trace of fear. Clearly, what he had seen before had terrified him.
"Exact location, and the time of hatching," Qi Suian asked bluntly.
"The location is in the planet's core. We, the Demon King Council, opened a tunnel there."
"According to our calculations, in one year, it will…"
The moment Qi Suian heard "one year," he stopped listening. He had thought it would be in two or three days; in which case, he would have had to use intercontinental missiles to hit the core or use Floating Cannons to annihilate it.
But that was all.
Never mind a year from now; he wouldn't even be afraid if it were a month from now.
A big slap from the Ghost World's will would be enough to turn the so-called Demon King Cyanobacteria into kelp and pork rib soup.
"What about the detailed data? Where do you store it?"
"Give it to me, and I'll give you a quick death," Qi Suian said. "Since you want to die, you might as well talk. Otherwise, don't blame me for throwing you in there."
"That place has already been taken over by the Cyanobacteria People. Even with your mastery of ghost powers, you won't be able to get close." As the middle-aged man spoke, he started scratching his skin.
Numerous spots appeared on his skin.
"Cyanobacteria is blue-green, not just blue," Qi Suian noted.
In an instant, green cyanobacteria engulfed the middle-aged man. He looked as if he had fallen into a stinking sewer and began to emit a foul odor.
"You may call me the Green Tide Lord," the being spoke.
A large-scale cyanobacteria outbreak is called a green tide.
So, there was no problem with it calling itself the Green Tide Lord.
"Do aliens have green tides too? Your biological structure is only similar to cyanobacteria; you aren't true cyanobacteria," Qi Suian said.
'Afraid? If it really had power, it wouldn't have sent an avatar to mess with me. Its main body would have come to kill me directly.'
"Alright, Green Tide Lord. What do you want?" Qi Suian asked.
"Get out of my placenta. I am about to be born. As a level-three lifeform, you have overstepped your bounds," it said in an arrogant tone.
Hearing this, Qi Suian understood that the Exhausted Planet he was on was no major player in the grand scheme of things.
There were far more powerful beings in the universe.
As for what rank a level-three lifeform held, Qi Suian had no idea.
But it didn't matter. Qi Suian didn't care about such things.
"I need another month. If you can wait, then wait. If you can't, we fight," Qi Suian said casually.
"A month? What are you planning to do?" the Green Tide Lord's voice was tinged with dissatisfaction and confusion.
"None of your damn business. Looks to me like you've got nothing better to do than worry about my affairs."
"I was originally planning to just lie low and then leave. Well, now I'm going to teach you a lesson about knowing your place."
"You dare pull this crap with me before you're even born? What will you be like once you hatch?" Qi Suian said disdainfully. He then grabbed the Green Tide Lord's avatar and instantly shoved it into the Melting Furnace.
Once it was inside the Melting Furnace, it immediately went quiet.
'Is the fuel this rich?'
'Burning one avatar increases the armor value by 0.1.' Qi Suian himself was shocked.
This meant that with just thirty more avatars, the Tai Sui God could evolve again.
'Then if I capture the Green Tide Lord and burn the whole thing…' At this thought, Qi Suian couldn't control his greed.
The temptation was simply too great, especially since it hadn't hatched yet. It was a god-sent opportunity.
Fortunately, his reason prevailed, and the greedy thought was quickly suppressed.
It was for no other reason than the fact that the survivor protagonist, Su Huayun, was in his hands.
If he were to be drawn away now, it would mean he had fallen for a diversion.
The timing was too coincidental. Qi Suian found it hard to believe it wasn't a plot to save the protagonist.
Therefore, in the remaining twelve days, Qi Suian had to complete his research on the Ghost Refining Technique within ten days.
As for Su Huayun's death-rewind ability? Qi Suian coveted it, but he was clear-headed enough to know it wasn't something he could obtain.
Rather than waste time, it was better to choose another path.
Once the Ghost Refining Technique was complete, it would mean the rapid growth aspect of his protagonist's halo would be fully activated.
If all went according to plan, the Ghost Monster Soul Seed would grow into a complete ghost within twenty-four hours. Things would be simple after that.
After that, he would take advantage of the window before the Ghost World's will descended to see if he could fleece some fuel from the Green Tide Lord.
The only thing left would be to see how many slaps from the world's will the doomsday game could take before it ran off.
As for Su Huayun, he had to wait until the array formation was complete before killing him. The fact that he would explode was real; Qi Suian had deduced it.
The entire planet would be blown to smithereens.
The Green Tide Lord would probably be deader than dead too.
'If I don't fall for the bait, I wonder if the Green Tide Lord will get pissed off enough to hatch ahead of schedule?'
Qi Suian actually had a guess as to what the growth path of the protagonist, Su Huayun, would have been if the doomsday game hadn't arrived.
It would have been nothing more than using the Green Tide Lord as a stepping stone, then stepping out into the cosmos and, after an arduous struggle, becoming one of the powerhouses of the universe.
There might have been a female lead, but she most likely wasn't on this planet.
So Qi Suian could only tearfully give up on that.
The universe was too vast for him to explore.
However, first came the doomsday game, and then came Qi Suian. With the arrival of these two troublemakers, the original trajectory was completely derailed.
-----------------
Deep within the planet's core, the magma was teeming with vast amounts of cyanobacteria. At the center was a humanoid figure.
It looked blurry, as if it hadn't finished developing yet, but its body was exquisitely curved, perfectly matching human aesthetics.
'A level-three lifeform… how did one come to this planet? Could it be a lackey of the Grox Empire?'
'No, impossible. I've already fled to a barren planet at the edge of the universe. There's no way they could have found me.'
When the Green Tide Lord thought of the Grox Empire, fear was evident. Its feminine features made it look even more human.
Precisely because the planet it parasitized was so barren, it needed to drain the entire planet, along with its whole civilization, just to have enough energy to hatch.
Its species was highly evolved, carrying a vast amount of ancestral knowledge within its genes.
Thus, it knew why it was the last of its kind. It even had memories of its homeworld being destroyed.
Yet even so, in the face of the Grox Empire, its people had only managed to last two seconds longer.
The technology of the Grox Empire was the most powerful in the entire universe.
As for why the Grox Empire wiped them out, it was because they were suspected of possessing clues to a certain Cosmic Treasure.
'No, I have to hatch as soon as possible, then kill that monster. It's fine even if I'm premature. I can make up for it later.'
'Otherwise, if that thing really is a lackey of the Grox Empire, I'll be in danger.'
Although the Grox Empire might not remember it—after all, the number of races and planets destroyed by those madmen was countless.
They might have long forgotten about it, but it couldn't risk its own life on that chance.
