The rise of the pervert primordial

Chapter 731 - 731: The second day of the development trial (part 10)

Originally, Aster was going to take a look at those girls from the Blacksmith peak first, but he changed his mind for two reasons, first and formal, those girls didn’t take into account that he would return for the good, earlier and thus they still were processing one last batch of wood as of current and needed around an hour or so to finish.

But and while Aster certainly didn’t want to crash those girl’s party, the main reason as to why he changed his mind, is that the very moment he came out of the forest, he could feel an intense yet familiar gaze in his direction.

‘Seriously, when it comes to me, her senses might be even surpass those of Mira’, amusingly thought Aster, to which Lilia who was just waking up after taking a nap at the bedroom on top of Hyperion, added.

‘I know you two like this kind of “neglect play” but she might rebel if you tease her too much, darling, after all I still remember how jealous that girl was when she realized I can now stay with you at all times~’.

Which made Aster bitterly smile, naturally who else could Lilia be referring but Alice, who instantly felt when he was back all the way from the camp to the border of the forest, even without the need to look in his direction, and that was without relying in her connection as a star maiden, since Aster told her not to use it unless it was an emergency.

Surprisingly, not only did Alice actually listen to him seriously, but to make up for it, her senses sharpened, despite not having any spirit energy to rely on, in fact that was probably why, since Alice had never been in a situation in which her body was completely deprived of any kind of energy without it being harmful for her, before.

Well to be exact, no one among the present people has been through something like it before, except Aster during his life back at earth.

‘Ahem, to be fair, sis not being stuck to me the whole day is enough for her to affirm that I’m not paying her as much attention as she wants’, said Aster making Lilia giggle in response.

‘Well, that’s also true, but the fault is yours for laying your hands on such a pair of beautiful spoiled dragons~’, said Lilia to which Rya snorted.

‘You mean needy and lascivious dragons’.

While those two started bickering within the mind space, Aster returned to the real world because he had arrived at the area of the camp where Alice has spent practically the whole day, the large log cabin that worked as both a storage for important materials and housing for Aster and the others, with the exception of Erick who preferred to sleep outdoors and Sophia who accompanied him.

“Sis, that’s a bit… too much”, mumbled Aster as he saw the log cabin which had its left side expanded by around a third part of its original length, while a second wall was added to both sides.

Why the second wall you ask, well, given the method they used which didn’t require nails as the logs were stacked, small gaps which were only covered by the curtains used for privacy, were left on the walls of the log cabin, but now the second wall which was built in the opposite direction compared to the first one, perfectly blocked the gaps.

“You better hurry up if you don’t want to be turned into a pile of grilled meat!”, a cold voice that could be heard coming from within the log cabin, made Aster chuckle as he made his way into it, followed by the little wyrm and the lynx.

What welcomed them was the sight of two girls who were finishing to flatten the sides of a door that was created by tying three logs with rope, a door that perfectly fitted the entrance to the large room at the right wing of the log cabin.

The one whose voice reached Aster’s ears earlier, is a tall girl with honey-brown hair and blood red eyes, in other words Alice and the one to whom she yelled at was, the black horse that Aster left under her watch.

Speaking of the black horse, the poor thing whose eyes were teary was dragging a sleigh which was secured with ropes around its chest to properly distribute the weight.

The problem is that the sleight had barrels filled with heavy stuff on it, and judging by the number of them that had been moved from what used to be the left wing of the log cabin to what now is the center of it, the horse has been working for quite some time.

Also, Aster earlier saw some traces in the nearby area which he thought were sliding marks left behind by the little wyrm, but now realized came from the sleight, so long story short, Alice used the horse to transport all the wood that was used to expand and renovate the log cabin to her “liking”, all this while being constantly threatened, which is why the black horse was at the verge of crying.

So now imagine how unfair it felt for the black horse, to see how that horrifying creature called “human”, with red eyes, suddenly losing till the last bit of murderous intent as she saw the human that captured him, enter the log cabin.

“What do you think, I did a good job right~”, cutely said Alice as she held onto Aster’s right arm, making the other girl who was helping with the door, one that had platinum blue hair, pout as she held onto Aster’s left arm in a rush, naturally that was Aria.

“Why are you making it sound as if you did everything, the design to solve all the troubles, was done by me”, said the ice princess, to which Alice mockingly said.

“Maybe, but if we followed your plan, we wouldn’t have finished it today, so it is ultimately thanks to me that our love nest is ready~”.

Seeing the sparks flying between those two as they tried to claim the credit for the result, Aster couldn’t help but softly laugh to then peck the two of them.

“And to think you were nicely working together until a second ago”, he jokingly said, which made Aria’s face cutely redden, while Alice rubbed her face against Aster’s chest.

“Not my fault, the ice princess is sulking because I won the first turn~”, she said with a triumphant voice.

“Humph”, to which Aria softly snorted in response.

Apparently, Alice, Aria and Sarina had a random girl pick small sticks with a single one being of a different size, in order to decide the order for tonight activities, and lady luck favored Alice this time.

‘Well, that explains the intense gaze I felt as soon as I came out of the forest’, thought Aster, still it was amusing that they were competing over something like that, when there are just three of them participating, normally the turn thing is important because if Lilia gets to go first which due to her out of normal luck happens way too often, besides the times when it’s not decided through a sparring session, or cooking competition, the others have to wait way longer for their turn to be the main focus of attention.

But with the dragon mother out of the equation, Aster is sure he can “take down” all of them quite fast for the first time, before having a longer second round with each of them after it, so this was purely those three’s competitive spirit at its finest.

“You two didn’t bully Sarina to leave the order to luck right, she should have gone first normally after all?”, said Aster while he slightly narrowed his eyes at those two, who looked away while feigning ignorance.

“Ahem, let me show you what we did, first we doubled the thickness of the walls and added a curtain both in the middle of them and at the outer face of each wall and for better sound-proofing, I designed a proper door”, said Aria as she pointed at the curtain covered wall of their room, apparently they only needed to finish the door and put the outer curtain on the wall that faced the camp.

“That sounds like enough isolation, so why the new room, sure I wanted the others to have a proper place to stay within the log cabin, but why the large expansion?”, asked Aster.

The new left wing of the log cabin, which was result of the expansion, surely required more work, they had to take down one wall and then extend the side ones for it, before sealing it up again.

“Ah that was my idea, I made the ice princess position herself where the others would have been sleeping, and then screamed with the door in place, but she said she still managed to hear something, so we decided to put more distance between us, which combined with the double wall on that other room, prevents anyone from listening to the lewd sounds Aria will be making later~”, playfully said Alice, making Aria’s right eyebrow twitch.

“Leaving a certain lascivious dragon princess’s nonsense aside, we took the chance to ask those guys to make another bathroom on that side, so now we don’t have to wait until everyone else has finished taking their bath”, mumbled Aria.

“I see, I guess the expansion is what took more time, but thanks to the extra “manpower”, it was finished today”, concluded Aster as he saw the black horse finally finishing to move the remaining barrels filled with resources to the center of the log cabin, before going out to then sit on the ground as it tried to catch up its breath, Alice had worked it to the bone after all.

It’s worth mentioning that the ropes that tied it to the sleigh, were also tied to a large tree that was left untouched to give shadow to the log cabin, as well as to a large rock that protruded out of the ground, to ensure the black horse couldn’t escape.

“I’ll let you finish, don’t forget to complete your missions in the next two hours or so, the dinner should be ready by then”, said Aster as he walked towards the entrance, not without turning to see those two to then add.

“Ah right, this time you can bath after dinner if you want to”, he said with a teasing light in his eyes, before leaving alongside the little wyrm, the lynx and the black horse which was dragged away by Aster as well.

Alice exchanged gazes with Aria to then lick her lips, as if she could already imagine all the fun they’ll be having later.

Leaving the flirting which was very much needed based on the slightly bright red tone that Alice’s pupils had gained, aside, Aster couldn’t help but wonder.

‘It hasn’t been that long and even sis is not that impatient, so what’s going on… I guess I’ll ask Mira about it later’, he thought.

Sure, Alice is quite wild and all, but it’s not like she hasn’t experienced the periods of excitement that comes with her still in process of being completed, dragon lineage, so Aster found strange that she had started to show signs of losing control over her instincts, so fast.

Especially because nothing has changed for him, and while his lineage is evolving in a different way than his mother and sister, the base is the same, so he should have felt the same, the difference being that his focus is absolute control, so unlike those two he wouldn’t lose it.

‘The only other case is Espi, who is a dragon without a human form, but that little girl looks perfectly fine’, thought Aster as he saw the little wyrm happily sliding next to him.

“Let’s put this guy in his cage before anything else”, said Aster, just in time for the pack of horses which were being led by the mare, that had just woken up, to arrive at the vicinity of the log cabin.

“Big brother~”, Kana’s happy voice drew Aster’s attention towards the filly, who was letting the little girl sit on her back, it was not so easy to spot Kana because she was also surrounded by all the foals, it’s obvious that she has gotten close to them during the day, the same could be said about the mares and horses though, because they were letting their last surviving children with the little girl.

“Looks like everything went well on your side”, said Aster to which the little girl jumped out of the filly’s back to then hug Aster as she said.

“Mm, big sister Mylene made a softer version of her energizing potion, so they went to sleep earlier and woke up earlier too, she said that in a bit more than a day they’ll be back to their prime condition”.

Kana wasn’t the only one from the group that was accompanying the horses which were migrating to this part of the camp, Cayden alongside a couple of his subordinates tagged along, for a good reason, they were carrying a large wooden cage made with logs.

“Here it is, the cage for that black horse that miss Valentina asked us to make”, said Cayden as they stopped near that big tree to which the black horse was tied to.

“Go over there”, said Aster to the black horse as he pointed in that direction, the black horse didn’t need to be told twice, though he didn’t understand, his gesture was enough and more importantly, the black horse preferred to be in a cage than to be in charge of Alice, so it actually looked relieved to be imprisoned.

“Big brother, they want to know what are we going to do with that black horse, or more accurately why is it still alive”, mumbled the little girl, as she heard the horses communicate between each other, until the mare silenced them, which made Aster frown.

“I expected you to start somewhat understanding them by the end of the day, but it looks like you have already done it, you, smart little girl”, said Aster as he patted Kana’s head, making her giggle.

“Mm~”, that being side and while she enjoyed being praised by Aster, the little girl simply didn’t have it in her to hide anything from her beloved big brother, so she explained the next second.

“I actually was surprised myself, even if I wanted to surprise big brother, I thought it was going to take me two days to start to understand them properly, but the process was at least ten times faster than normal”, she said.

“Do you feel any anomaly or any discomfort?”, asked Aster to which the little girl cutely shook her head.

“No, if anything I had quite more fun than normal while playing with the little horses, but that was it”, she said to then look at the lynx with curiosity in her eyes.

“Big brother, can I play with sister lynx?”, apparently, she was told about Vivian having a blast while riding Guardian through the forest and she wanted to give it a try.

That being said and while the little girl used her puppy eyes tactic to get Aster’s permission, it’s not like he had the right to decide for Guardian, but surprisingly the lynx herself approached Kana and sat on the ground next to her, as if saying she was allowing the little girl to mount her.

But the interesting part is that Guardian saw through her intentions right away, Kana didn’t even directly ask for permission to ride on her, she said she wanted to play so it was strange that the lynx directly went for this option, on the other hand the little girl’s happy smile as she sat on Guardian’s back before she got up, made Aster ultimately shrug to his insides.

‘Oh well, if it’s a positive thing, then there is no need to worry’, he thought, of course that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to be paying attention to Kana’s situation from now and onwards, especially because it might be related Alice’s one too.

Anyway, now that the black horse was imprisoned and the normal horses had migrated to where they’ll be staying, in order to be as far from the forest as possible, and to also watch over the black horse, Aster alongside the two little girls and the lynx went to their next stop, one that was decided by Kana.

“Let’s go to the lake big brother, big sister Angela worked in something fun~”, she said, which made Aster pat her head, to be honest he had caught a glimpse about the “fun” project in which Angela worked today, but he didn’t want to ruin the fun of the little girl so he remained quiet about it.

His surprise when he arrived at the shore of the lake wasn’t feigned though, he couldn’t help but compliment the receptionist girl as he saw the rafts tied together that were floating close to the wall that separated their side from Wade’s group one, they went all the way from the shore of the lake to a couple of hundreds of meters into it.

It’s worth mentioning that the lake was massive, in fact from the side, one couldn’t see where it ended, so in perspective it didn’t look like much, but it was much more useful than one would believe.

“With this, the effort needed to obtain food using the fishing net will be reduced, since we won’t need to row all the way over there, a group of people can now “walk” into the lake and throw the net at that point, judging by how stable they look, they tied weights to the four corners of the rafts to keep them in place too”.

“Quite an efficient idea, I wonder who might have come up with it”, jokingly said Aster as he saw a girl with dirty blond hair and glasses coming their way.

“I thought we should secure a source of food that doesn’t depend on the forest, luckily, I was right and there are large groups of fish a few dozens of meters into the lake, of course since we can’t preserve large amounts of fish, I asked the disciples to dig a hole and place rocks at its bottom and sides to create an artificial pond where we can keep some fishes ready in advance”, proudly said Angela.

“Good, anything to report about the lake?”, said Aster to which Angela shook her head in response.

“There are bigger fishes there, but nothing that could pose a threat, we used some blood to attract any animals that could be lurking below the water, but the biggest fish was only a bit past two meters large, still just in case miss Valentina used most of today’s time to create rafts that are four times larger than the small prototype we had, so they are not easy to be overturned by the fishes trapped in the net”.

“We used a rope with a stone to try and measure how deep the lake is, and determined that in average the deepest part is around fifteen meters deep”, she said as she accommodated her glasses, to then add.

“Also, it’s not related to the lake but you should go see miss Eris and the group from the Rune mastering peak, practically everyone but the girls from the Alchemy peak are there, including miss Valentina and miss Layla”.

That explained why there were only a few girls sitting on the floating dock, using fishing rods to practice what Mira had taught them, left in the lake, Angela was here because she was making her last round through all the areas of the camp, to finish her daily reports.

“Thanks, I’ll be giving a lesson to the girls from the Blacksmith peak, if you finish your tasks in time, you can…”, before Aster finished his sentence, Kana directly said.

“I’m sure big sister Angela will come; she was really enthusiastic about it when I told her about it after all~”, the previous made the receptionist girl blush on the spot, Kana didn’t do it with any malice, but the reason behind this earlier than usual last round she was making, was now exposed.

“I-I have to go see how the gatherers did!”, she exclaimed as she ran way like a scared rabbit, leaving behind an Aster who was laughing at her cute reaction, anyway apparently everyone was going to be watching his lesson, which gave Aster an interesting idea.

But before we get to that, there were two more stops, which were where basically all the remaining people should be, the first one was within sight, from afar Aster could see the unmistakable figures of Eris, Valentina and Layla who were surrounded by a bunch of girls from the different peaks.

“Are they… fighting against those three?”, said Aster with a slightly confused voice.
