The rise of the pervert primordial

Chapter 689 - 689: The fight for the main distortion (part 17)

With a snap of Sarina’s pretty fingers, the dozens of gales and ash-red fire streams were shot towards the enemies in a single go, making both the captain and vice from the Ocean Aquamarine family curse on the spot.

“Damn it, Cascade Rotating Shield!”, they both directly used their defensive spirit technique to create a defensive wall of water in front of the whole team while also urging the defense-oriented metal attributed vice leader from the Iron Hall to further solidify their wide area defense with that technique from earlier.

After all, they are energy cultivators and their techniques focus on wide area effects, while the guys from the Iron Hall are main body cultivators so their techniques are more for 1v1 situations, but by combining efforts they can produce a better result, which is quite needed right now, since the enemy they are facing seems to wield some insanely strong attributes.

“Heavy Silver Radiance!”, the vice from the Iron Hall immediately complied by pointing his hands towards the defensive wall of water, his body glowed in a dark gray light which was then mixed into the blue water, giving it a tinge of a metallic tone.

“Clang!”, the barrage of wind gales and fire streams shot by Sarina reached the combined defense of the enemy’s team a second later, the first batch was actually properly fended off, simply producing sparks and metal colliding sounds, however the next batch came immediately after that.

“Crack!”, and contrary to what those three expected, the wind gales fiercely shaved parts of the heavy water wall producing shattering sounds, which were then drowned by the sizzling sounds of the ash-red fire streams evaporating the water wall on the spot.

“Hssssss!”, not to mention that a few wind gales and fire streams survived the clash against the defensive wall and reached the enemies the next second, in other words the combined efforts of the three of them actually lost against a single attack from the enemy, well it was a barrage of attacks, but judging by how easy it seemed for the blond woman in front of them to cast all those gales and fire streams at the same time, it could be counted as a single effort technique.

That being said, the attacks had slowed down enough for them to dodge to the side and that wasn’t all, the captain from the Iron Hall, suddenly appeared above Sarina.

“Sharp Silver Charge”, he had already taken out his spirit weapon, a one-handed longsword and was aiming to slash the blond woman down with a swing of its blade, but then his eyes narrowed in disbelief as few “shards” got in the way of his sword.

“Clang!”, the captain’s sword which was covered in early stage second level intent by the way, was completely stopped by three metal shards which had wind spirit energy fiercely rotating around them, while they projected a part of a sword’s blade above it.

As well as another set of three shards which had ash-red flames burning on them with a projection of a sword’s blade above it.

‘No way, she isn’t a damn soul cultivator how could she continue that barrage of spirit techniques and defend herself at close combat at the same time!’, inwardly screamed the Iron Hall’s captain.

Imagine his expression when Sarina extended her pretty right hand, to take out her own spirit weapon, a silver rapier with golden and green colored details on its hilt and guard, naturally that was a spirit weapon created by Aster for her.

But it wasn’t on the “level” of something used for a gift after a date, that didn’t mean it was a low ranked or poorly crafted treasure, but it was something he created before the little wyrm whose scales were one of the best materials for blacksmithing at her level, joined the family.

As to why Aster hadn’t made a new sword for Sarina after that little wyrm entered the picture, that’s because he hasn’t been able to sort out how to make it so a single sword could contain and efficiently use the three attributes that Sarina has.

The belt he gifted her, which could separate into many shards on which Sarina could project her Ghost Sword and perfectly channel Sarina’s attribute through them, but only one at the time and it was because Aster literally put a miniature sword into each one of those shards.

After all, unlike Vivian whose multiple variations of her attribute shared the common aspect that they were all poisons, Sarina’s attributed were all different from each other, though her wind and lightning shared their origin.

Anyway, the point is that Aster was working on something special for Sarina, but for the time being her rapier was a perfect peak Stellar grade spirit treasure which meant that Sarina could use it until she reached the peak of the Transcending realms without any problem, in fact since Aster has mixed some of his blood into it, it shouldn’t even lose when compared to half Immortal grade swords, as the captain elder of the Iron Hall’s team was about to learn.

Sarina’s rapier glowed in a though pretty, incredibly fierce green light as she slashed it upwards at an insanely fast speed, a whistling sound was produced by the blade of the rapier which then released a fierce current of wind that sent the metal cladded enemy flying away into the distance.

“Agh!”, though the captain tried to avoid the slash he was actually dragged into the attack, which resulted in multiple clean cuts appearing all over his body, until he released a large amount of spirit energy to break away from the suction of the wind slash unleashed by Sarina’s sword.

“What the hell was that!!!”, fiercely roared the captain from the Iron Hall as he looked at the though thin, deep sword slashes that cut not only the metal layer protecting his body but also his real skin and flesh below of it.

‘I-I blocked with my sword but if I hadn’t used “Sharp Silver Radiance” at the last second, that thing would have cut off at least one arm and one leg, are you telling me that was just a casual slash of that damn sword!’, he screamed in his heart.

He blocked Sarina’s slash with his sword but then realized that the wind spirit energy that was released by the enemy’s rapier, was not only attacking his sword but his whole body at the same time, so he used a spirit technique to counter the slash and even then, he still suffered multiple cuts, it was insane.

What was worse, is that the blond woman didn’t use a spirit technique, that was indeed a single slash of her sword, which then made him realize that the quality of the rapier used by the enemy surpassed that of his one-handed long sword, as the slight chip that had appeared on the blade of his sword suggested.

‘Fucking Talis bastards, just how much did they splurge on the Lord of the Twin Sword Valley, that damn sword is something that very few high grade direct descendants would get to put their hands on, it would be more reasonable for heir candidate level people to have a half Immortal grade treasure while being at the Mortal Transcending realm, is he marrying one of their princesses or what?’, wondered the captain elder as he regrouped with the others.

He was half right and half wrong, right on the part about Sarina’s sword completely outclassing his, but he was horribly wrong by thinking that it was the sword the one that did the major part when it came to forcing him to defend with a spirit technique against a normal slash, Sarina’s wind attribute is not called “Fierce Wind” by nothing and she isn’t a royal of the warrior side of the Storm Roc clan just for show after all.

“I don’t know how, but she can use those spirit techniques multiple times while also having the processing capacity to fight at close combat, without being a soul cultivator”, said the Iron Hall team’s captain to his companion, which made the Ocean Aquamarine captain frown.

Because he knew of cases like that, in fact there was one that was still engraved in the mind of anyone from the side of the Fey led by the Heavenly Marble family, which was caused by the princess of the youngest generation, from the Disaster Onix family shooting down an enemy a planet of distance away, when she was a… single path Star Tribulation cultivator, in other words she was only cultivating in the energy path at that point.

And yet she managed to pull such a monstrous feat, the reason being that she as a princess from the Fey, naturally has an extremely strong soul constitution that practically made up for the lack of her secondary soul path cultivation at the time.

Naturally we are talking about Aster’s godmother from the Fey family, of course the elder from the Ocean Aquamarine didn’t put Sarina on that level, after all within the youngest generation of the Fey family, at the Heavenly realms, only the princess from the Heavenly Marble family is considered her equal and that is a lot to say since there are another four princesses on that batch.

But enough of that, the important part is that the Ocean Aquamarine captain realized that in terms of talent, the blond woman in front of him, surpassed them by a huge margin.

‘Listen and don’t let your reaction show on your face, that woman most likely has… a soul constitution’, he said the captain in a voice that only his companions could hear.

‘It should be one on the upper side of the second tier, which means she is still behind when compared to our princesses or others who are recognized to be on par, however that’s more than enough to put her at above our secondary soul path cultivation, especially because she can do something as hard as to manifest intent on more than two separate objects at the same time’, he added as he was reminded of those six shards which projected parts of a sword blade while that rapier also had Ghost Sword cladding it.

‘Well, well, well, it seems like you damn “reliable” information is getting worse by the second’, exclaimed the vice from the Iron Hall, which made the vice from the Ocean Aquamarine snort.

‘I have had enough of you, your Supreme Elemental sect was the one supposed to act as our informant, but then the one on which we all spent so much resources and effort to plant in their upper echelon was chased out of the Myriad Occupation sect by the Lord of the Twin Sword Valley in a matter of days, so any lack in accuracy in terms of intel is your damn fault!’, he said.

‘What did you say you bastard, fine, let’s see who covers your “wet” ass from that woman’s attacks the next time…’, the words from the vice of the Iron Hall were interrupted by his own captain.

‘Enough the two of you, the fact that the enemy is far more troublesome than what we ever imagined is what matters, we both need each other if we want to let alone win, but survive so stop arguing and get serious at once!’, he ordered as his body exploded in water spirit energy.

“She is not limited to cultivate on the soul path unlike our princesses, so with a soul constitution she has probably prepared to cultivate in the body path and directly reach the Earthly realms in a single go, which would explain why that slash was so heavy, I need the defense specialist to come with me, the other two will deal with her parallel thinking and high processing speed by raining attacks on her, any complains?”, he said to which the other three shook their heads.

The plan was simple and effective, one pair will take the close combat side and the other will use suppressive long-range attacks, an opening was bound to appear if they overwhelmed the enemy no matter how good was her parallel thinking, as long as her reaction and parallel thinking wasn’t at the middle stages of the Transcending realms or above.

Speaking of people whose soul senses are quite higher than their realm, Aster couldn’t help but chuckle at the conclusion those guys have reached.

‘Well, I can understand why they believe Sarina has a soul constitution that focuses on senses enhancement, I was the one that helped her create that illusion after all’, he amusingly thought.

Sarina’s soul constitution, result of she becoming a Star Maiden is not related to senses enhancement at all, she has obtained different abilities based on her emotions, none of which she has used so far by the way.

The blond motherly woman has been simply bullying those guys with her overwhelming ability to command spirit energy, and monstrous reserves, which originate on her lineage, and had evolved thanks to Aster going above and beyond at the time of her awakening.

She has no need to use parallel thinking for the previous, because for Sarina commanding large amounts of spirit energy is as natural as breathing, that’s also why she has indeed decided to be a secondary body path cultivator contrary to her daughter who has chosen to walk on the soul path as her secondary one.

But the enemies have no need to know that, Aster prepared the stage for these misunderstandings to naturally happen, because the further the image they create now that they are coming out to the light, from reality, the more his family will benefit later on.

“Ocean Aquamarine Flow!”, the captain was the first to get serious, all the spirit energy which he had released was absorbed back into his body, as a result a blue liquid pattern appeared with his right hand as the base to then extend upwards in the form of two vertical lines that crossed through his arm, shoulder and neck all the way to his right eye.

He also took out his weapon which was a flexible style spear with a blue colored wood staff, that was the innate ability of the Ocean Aquamarine and apparently the size of that pattern wasn’t what determined how strong it was.

“Ocean Aquamarine Flow!”, because the vice who was certainly a tad weaker than the captain, had the pattern go all the way from his left foot to his left eye which meant it covered a larger distance in comparison, the difference being that his pattern only consisted in a single line, while the captain had two.

As for his weapon, he used a bow, also made out of blue wood, probably because wood element and water element had a really high compatibility and because they their innate ability should have something to do with “flexibility” considering the extra word in its name was “flow” unlike the solid but rigid “armor” on the name of the one used by the members of the Mountain Amber family.

And they weren’t the only ones who stopped playing around, the captain from the Iron Hall side, had his body turn into a sharp gray sphere of light as he shouted.

“Sword Silver Skin!”, the metal layer covering his body changed to create a few edges on his shoulders, elbows and shins, additionally his spirit weapon which is a one-handed long sword, the one with which he attacked Sarina earlier, was enveloped in a bright gray metal layer, increasing its reach and also covering the dent that it received due to Sarina’s rapier.

“Shield Silver Skin!”, the vice-captain from the Iron Hall on the other hand, tripled the thickness of the metal layer covering his body, and just like the name of the technique he used, his spirit weapon was a tower shield.

A tower shield that was covered in a layer of grey metal the next second as his technique extended to his spirit weapon and now that they were both geared up and powered enough to charge at the enemy without the fear of being ripped apart by the barrage of attacks that they were sure would come their way.

“Heavy Silver Shield Charge!”

“Flowing Cascade Step!”.

The first ones to take action were the vice-captain from the Iron Hall accompanied by the captain from the Ocean Aquamarine side, the turned into gray and blue flashes respectively to then appear at Sarina’s right side, why, because the Iron Hall’s captain concluded that she is right-handed after their previous clash.

“Cascade Flowing Sweep Wave!”, the Ocean Aquamarine captain elder directly injected spirit energy into his spear, while also adding both Ghost Spear and Slashing, in other words the two levels of intent he had trained into, though the second level was only at the early stage.

The focus of the Ocean Aquamarine family wasn’t intent, they were energy/soul cultivators, and mixed wide area energy attacks with some trickery from the soul path, for example the technique that the captain just used resulted in his flexible spear “bending” as he slashed it sidewards, releasing a huge water spirit energy wave at close range.

“Humph!”, the blond motherly woman didn’t remain still, fierce currents of wind gathered on her rapier which was then cladded in her peak first level intent because Sarina hadn’t had the time to look for her chance to advance to second level intent, as she is focusing on preparing everything for her secondary path as of current.

However just as Sarina was about to slash her rapier, which unlike Aria’s one, is designed for precise cuts instead of swift thrusts, the Iron Hall’s vice-captain suddenly rushed at her.

“Heavy Silver Shield Crush!”, his already large shield increased in size thanks to his shield intent as well as the metal spirit energy he just injected into it, and thanks to the explosive increase of speed that he gained at short distance, he actually interrupted Sarina’s slash midway.

“Clang!”, the shield and the rapier clashed producing the sound of metals colliding which was accompanied by sparks flying all over the place as the fierce currents of wind enveloping the sword cut through the metal reinforced shield.

‘Damn, why is her wind so damn sharp!’, inwardly exclaimed the vice-captain elder from the Iron Hall as he injected more spirit energy into his technique, his job was to hold onto the sword of the blond woman so that the attack from the Ocean Aquamarine captain could reach her, or force her to use those sword shards to block and then it would be the turn for the other two members of the team to make their move.

However, Sarina didn’t choose any of aforementioned options, instead of that and without interrupting the fierce currents of wind that she had condensed around her sword, she directly used her own spirit technique.

“Windstorm Sword, Gale Slash”, Sarina’s pretty voice made the danger alarms ring on the mind of the vice-captain from the Iron Hall, he immediately retreated in order to get away from the blond woman, also the wave attack from the Ocean Aquamarine captain elder, had reached Sarina and it suddenly twisted to cover a larger area.

But then, fierce green wind spirit energy exploded on the rapier, turning into a sharp rotating current that was released as Sarina swung her sword sidewards.

“Boooom!”, the slash clashed with the giant water wave and immediately turned it into countless wisps of water spirit energy and drops of water that were splashed throughout the vicinity.

However, the green wind still continued advancing towards the Ocean Aquamarine captain elder, just to be intercepted by the vice from the Iron Hall, right on time for a rain of water arrows to descend upon Sarina.

“Cascade Flowing Arrow Rain!”, the arrows took strange detours midway guided by the enemy’s soul energy in order to surround Sarina from all sides.

“Sword Silver Cross Slash!”, and that wasn’t all, a pair of gray sword slashing lights travelled at Sarina in a direct line, in this way they aimed at Sarina from both aspects, directly and indirectly and since her sword was still being slashed at the Iron Hall’s vice-captain, she’ll have to use those shards to block but there is no way she could block the hundreds of arrows at the same time, even if she used all the shards that conformed the belt.

Unless she of course brute forced her way by releasing an ungodly amount of spirit energy in a single go, in which case it will still be their win because tiring an enemy out was also beneficial for them.

Unfortunately for them, not only did Sarina didn’t try to block their attacks but she also only used a total of nine shards which were vertically lined to form a hilt-less and pointless sword projection which then exploded in ash-red flames.

And here is a basic chemistry question, what does water and metal have in common, the answer is that they both… evaporate.

“Firestorm Sword, Scorching Slash”, accompanied by Sarina’s pretty voice, the lined up nine shards moved sidewards in unison as if they were a single entity, which is normal since they are being controlled by her fire spirit energy as a whole instead of one at the time unlike before.

The result was a burning ash-red pillar of fire that engulfed both the water arrows and the gray metal slashing lights, evaporating them on the spot, before flying into the distance.
