Chapter 734: The First Case in the League?!

Well, he didn’t need to wait for so long. The moment the training session was over, Higo had already found two messages coming from the girls.

Kumiko-chan: Ryukkun, come back home quickly. We need to talk.

Sakura-san: Something bad is going on; don’t wander around and come back as soon as possible.

Higo’s face turned ugly right a second later, and without waiting for anyone else, he picked up his sports bag and shouted, "I need to go back first!" Before blitzing his way out of the locker room, leaving everyone so stunned that they couldn’t greet him back first.

Higo himself walked faster to go back, even starting to run in the process. While he didn’t know what was really going on here, the boy had a bad feeling about it. After all, those two chatted with their own account at the same time instead of just letting one of them do the job, which meant the situation was serious.

"Damn! How could this day be so bad?!" He couldn’t help but curse inwardly. "I still don’t know what is going on with Frohling-sensei, and now those two have bad news to share? Can I catch a fucking break?!"

Usually, he would always take his time strolling around the neighborhood for some food. However, this time, the boy didn’t blink for once, not even greeting back those who called his name.

The moment the boy arrived at his own flat, he was already sweating bullets, as if he had just done another training session in the last five minutes. Still, he couldn’t care less, slamming the door open just to find out the two girls who sent him a message earlier were sitting on the couch as if waiting for his arrival.

"Ryukkun?! Have you been running here?!" Kumiko widened her eyes in surprise, not expecting that her message caused panic in the boy. "Wait a second, I’ll get you water first!" She said while jumping out of the couch in a hurry.

Sakura herself also looked at him with eyes full of concern, but those girls didn’t know how relieved he was when the boy found out that everything seemed to be okay here, seeing those two safe and sound.

"So, what is going on?" He put his sports bag on the floor, asking while also trying to make his breath steady. "Your tone in the message makes me think something bad is happening, you know?" He smiled a little, finding the situation not to be as bad as he initially thought.

However, Sakura still had her solemn expression, and once Kumiko was back with a glass of water, his girlfriend finally said, "Two pieces of bad news today."

This was enough to make the boy’s heart skip once again, and he took the water quickly before putting it back on the table. "Two? How could it be that much?"

"Yeah, the first one is that the first death case of the coronavirus in this country is finally here." Kumiko nodded. He went to China a few weeks ago, and now, it is unfortunate that the government has already announced his death."

Higo’s brows furrowed deeper than ever. Before, he could still be calm since all the cases were quite normal, without any deaths being reported; now, it was different. Panic would start to spread quickly, and chaos would descend not just in this country, but all over the world.

"What about the second bad news? Is it related to this virus as well?" He asked, already having a bad feeling right now.

"Unfortunately, yes." Kumiko’s tone became heavier in this case, showing that the second piece of news was worse than the first one. Higo couldn’t help but gulp as well, starting to feel nervous. "The first case of coronavirus in the Bundesliga has already appeared, and unfortunately, it is from SC Paderborn player, Luca Killian."

Higo’s face paled instantly when he heard that, realizing why the girl was so solemn right now.

He muttered quickly; his mind was hazy from all the bad news that he received today. Everything seemed to be connected right now, and he didn’t like it at all.
