Kaelen used vines to tightly hold Sylvain, his hand flicking lightly, a concentrated recovery potion bottle flew towards Vincent:

"Alistair, take this."

Sylvain’s struggling body suddenly seemed to have a pause button pressed on it. He widened his eyes, blankly looking at the beastman’s back blocking in front.

Vincent’s shoulders trembled slightly, but he still did not turn his head back, only relying on the wind sound in the air to reach out his hand to catch the potion bottle. He used his teeth to bite the bottle stopper then pulled it out, then emptied the whole potion bottle into his mouth.

The potion’s medicinal power immediately rushed into his body, quickly healing the fresh wound stabbed by Sylvain. But this healing process was very painful, Vincent’s body tensing up to the limit. His whole body’s skin turned bright red, blood vessels bulging prominently. Vincent let out a roar, using all his strength to thrust the sword.

The sword plunged deeply right up to the hilt into the God of Decay’s head. The creature howled once, His two claws losing their fulcrum, pushed straight back into the void by Vincent. The oval door gradually narrowed, then clattered once, shattering into pieces like glass shards.

Sylvain no longer had the mind to care about this situation anymore. His two eyes stared intently at that broad back. Tears flowed from his eyes, dripping patter by patter onto Kaelen’s vines. Sylvain’s lips trembled, saying hatefully:

"You lied. You Deities are all a bunch of liars. You told me that he had vanished into the laws..."

Vincent lowered his face, not daring to turn back to look at Sylvain even once. Sane had finished destroying the demonic seeds outside, leisurely slithering inside. His gaze glanced at Vincent once, then threw a purple crystal to him.

"Take it, this thing helps you stabilize your soul body for half an hour. Whatever matters need saying then say them all out, do not keep being cowardly like that anymore."

Kaelen also withdrew the vines, setting Sylvain free. He and Sane retreated outside, leaving private space for the two of them.

Just going outside the door for a short distance, both people immediately staggered, simultaneously coughing out blood. Kaelen hurriedly took two recovery potion bottles from his bag; he and Sane each chugged one bottle.

Even so, the concentrated potion only helped them heal their crushed internal organs; Divine Energy and Magical Energy were draining at a visible speed. The two leaned on each other, trying not to let themselves collapse on the spot.

Kaelen panted heavily: "Too dangerous. If Alistair was just a bit slower then both you and I would be doomed."

Sane supported his mate near a cliff; the two leaned their backs against it. Sane wiped the blood on his face, asking: "How did you know that was Alistair? I haven’t even told you."

Kaelen glared at him once: "Hmph, that move stabbing the sword into the middle of the forehead along with that standing posture when executing that move, how could I be unfamiliar. Anyway, back when that brat was still small, you often taught him to learn swordsmanship right in front of us."

He raised his somewhat limp arm, grabbing Sane’s ear twisting it forcefully:

"Confess honestly, when did you and Alistair secretly meet?! Why is he still alive?!"

Sane smiled placatingly: "Ouch, hurts hurts hurts. Baby, you let go first, let me slowly explain okay?"

Kaelen snorted once, then also let go. Sane rubbed his bright red twisted ear, slowly telling Kaelen about Alistair’s matters.

Inside, Vincent - or must be called Alistair - with a complex expression stood before Sylvain, also telling him everything:

"I am only a stubborn residual thought remaining from that year. I also cannot live for much longer, the thing my teacher gave me only helps me stop here for half an hour..."

Sylvain stared intently at Alistair, asking through gritted teeth: "When did you awaken?"

"I did not awaken, I merely occupied this person’s body when he just died. I have always followed you since that year, staying with you down in the Darkness swamp, witnessing all of your reincarnations."

Sylvain’s body trembled, his eyes bloodshot: "Why did you do that? Seeing me fall because of you, you are very happy right? Seeing me turn into this shape, neither Deity nor Ghost, you are very happy right?"

"No!" Alistair clumsily stepped forward, extending his hand wanting to touch Sylvain but was dodged by Sylvain. Alistair’s two hands stopped in mid-air, his eye sockets red: "I just... I just still have words unsaid to you..."

Sylvain smirked, saying contemptuously: "What do you have to say. Want to toy with me again? What do I have left for you to deceive."

Alistair took a deep breath, stepped forward one step, looking straight into Sylvain’s eyes, slowly uttering every word: "I love you."

Sylvain was stunned, thinking he heard wrong. He asked again: "What?"

"I mean to say, I love you." Alistair emphasized: "Sylvain, this is the thing I have cherished for a very long time but could not say out loud. I stayed by your side all those years, every day always speaking by your ear, but you could not hear it. Now I say it once again, you listen clearly. Sylvain, I love you."

Sylvain was slightly dazed, then let out a ’ha’ laugh. The laughter got louder and louder, laughing to the point tears flowed. Having finished laughing, he glared fiercely at Alistair: "Are you tricking ghosts? You bastard open your mouth again to say you love me?! What qualification do you have to say these words!"

Alistair closed his eyes in agony, tears sliding down his cheeks. Sylvain looked and was stunned, then pinched himself to remind himself to stay awake, not allowing this bastard to deceive him again.

Alistair opened his eyes, saying hoarsely: "I know you will not believe it, but my time does not have much left. The laws have discovered me already, I want to say all the things hundreds of millions of years ago I did not have time to say."

"Sylvain." Alistair stepped forward grasping Sylvain’s hands, softly confiding: "I know, me approaching you because of a bet with my subordinates was my fault, but the love I have for you is real. I was just cowardly not daring to confess my feelings, saying those bastard words, unexpectedly you heard them.

But I swear, I only slipped my tongue that one time. Later I wanted to go find you to explain but could not meet you..."

Sylvain immediately interrupted: "What do you mean could not meet me?! Did you not arrange to meet me at the fog boundary then knocked me unconscious, crippled my magic then threw me into the human slave camp?"

Alistair was stunned: "When did I do that? Since the day you eavesdropped on me talking with my subordinates you angrily left, I haven’t even met you. Every time I came looking for you I was beaten half to death by the God of Light!"

Sylvain’s face turned pale white, his body trembling. He recalled that year after being thrown into the slave camp, then brought to the auction floor by humans to sell like an item, a tall thin black-haired man bought him. But after buying him back, the man removed his shackles, tore up the contract and let him leave.

His magic sealed, Sylvain could only use his legs dragging step by step to return to the Elf Forest. But arriving there, not only was he not sympathized with, but he was also scolded by the God of Light as the disgrace of the Elf clan, stripped of his King position, and thrown out of his residence.

In his extreme destitution, he met ’Alistair’ and his accomplices blocking in front mocking him, even almost being violated by those beasts. That black-haired man appeared again, timely pulling him out of the mud puddle.

Then very many, very many times after that, making him increasingly hate Alistair and the Gods, increasingly reliant on that man. Then, that man also did not hide his identity from Sylvain anymore, He said He was the God of Decay...

Seeing Sylvain’s face getting paler and paler to the point of almost turning transparent, Alistair impatiently grabbed his shoulders, asking urgently: "Sylvain, what is wrong with you? What happened to you?!"

Sylvain’s pale lips trembled slightly, trying to hold onto a ray of hope, asking once again: "Truly, since that day at the Holy Shrine, you never met me again?"

Alistair nodded affirming: "That is right, do not mention me, even the God of Light and your clan members had never met you. We searched for you for a very long time but did not find you. Until meeting you once again, then you had..." Alistair tightened his embrace: "You had become a traitor to the light..."

He tightened his embrace, looking down staring intently at his lover, anxiously asking: "Sylvain, I do not believe you betrayed the Gods just because you were toyed with a little. Tell me, during that time you went missing, what did you encounter?"

Sylvain seemingly lost all his strength, collapsing down to his knees. Alistair hurriedly hugged him tightly, letting him lean against his body. Sylvain firmly dug his fingers into Alistair’s solid arm, sobbing loudly:

"Alistair, I was deceived by Him. That bastard deceived me! He disguised Himself as you to trick and sell me into the slave camp then saved me out like a kind-hearted person. He disguised Himself again as Father and my clan members, stripping my King position then kicking me out of the Elf Forest. He disguised Himself again as you and your subordinates, orchestrating a rape scene then stepping in to offer salvation. It turns out all those things were fake, I basically had never stepped out of His illusion!"

"What have I done! Alistair! I took the enemy as my father, for Him hesitating not to betray the Gods, even personally making this world torn into pieces! My hands are stained with the blood of so many innocent lives, even selling out both my body and soul. Those years and months under the darkness swamp completely cannot wash away all my sins!"

"What should I do Alistair? What must I do now?"

Sylvain sobbed bitterly, constantly saying ’what should I do’. Alistair hugged his lover tightly, his heart clenching in waves. It turned out to be like that, it turned out in a place he could not see, Sylvain had to suffer such humiliations. No wonder Sylvain hated him so much, hating to the point of wanting to drag the whole world to be buried along.

Sane and Kaelen standing outside eavesdropping could not help but feel poignant. They all thought it was exactly Alistair who betrayed Sylvain, causing Sylvain to fall. Unexpectedly, in the middle there was the God of Decay’s hand.

A perfectly good young couple was just ruined by Him like that. A peaceful world was just torn apart like that, almost perishing!
