The Plant Master Becomes A Mute Sub-Beast: Farming And Laying Eggs
Chapter 218: The Rabbit Clan
"Siley, you are sure you still want to go with us?"
Sane felt extremely confused. The contract was canceled, logically Siley should completely have no more ties with Sane’s family or the Crimson tribe.
Siley nodded, "Daddy... No, Chief Sane, I want to go out to explore. I want to know what the Original World and the three thousand great paths actually look like."
Kaelen looked at Siley with a complex gaze, "Do your two fathers know?"
Siley nodded, "I told them clearly. Anyway, the new heir has been chosen, my going or staying will not affect the tribe anymore. My two fathers also support me going out to adventure."
Aaron tilted his head and spoke calmly, "You should think very carefully. We ourselves are not even certain about the spatial array. Firstly, we do not know if we can arrive at the right destination which is the Southern continent, secondly we do not know if we can return. If you take this trip, you might never see your two fathers again."
Siley pursed his lips and tightened his grip on the fur on the Demonic Tiger’s head, "I know, I have thought carefully. I will not change my decision."
Sane saw Siley was so determined and did not oppose anymore, "If so then you just come with us. Whenever you want to separate, just say a word, we will prepare some things for you."
Everyone whipped the horses’ buttocks and prepared to drive the carts away when a loud shout suddenly rang out from somewhere:
"Do not go, do not go, wait for us!!!"
Everyone simultaneously looked over and only saw a flock of Rabbits including both White Rabbits and Gray Rabbits carrying belongings hopping over. Beside these Rabbits were the Rabbit clan Sub-Beasts, everyone carried luggage bags.
Lorenzo was stunned and said in surprise, "Everyone, this is..."
The Gray Rabbit tribe Chief panted heavily a few times and signaled for Lorenzo not to rush. Then the Gray Rabbit tribe Chief started running up to block in front of Sane and Kaelen’s horse cart, starting to pitch:
"Lord Crimson Chief, do you need healers? Our tribe, except for Martial power, is proficient in everything from foraging, collecting herbs, making potions, tanning leather, cooking, setting up tents, etc... We know how to do everything. Please let us follow you back to Crimson, can you? We swear to the Beast God, we will forever be loyal to the Crimson tribe, sacrificing life after life for the great cause of the tribe!"
Everyone was completely petrified, completely not understanding what was happening.
Draven was the first to recover his senses. He joyfully jumped down from the cart, ran over to shake Kaelen, and chirped to Sane, "Accept them, accept them. They are all treasures! Motherfucker, I am worrying my heart out because our tribe’s Medical department is severely short-staffed!"
Sane and Kaelen also gradually became clear-headed, their expressions were somewhat complex looking at the Rabbit clan people below. Counting roughly there must be nearly five hundred lives, even if Sane accepted the rabbits, could he bring the rabbits back? If not mistaken, this is a combination of several Rabbit tribes, right?
The rabbits previously relied on the Silver Snake and White Lion tribes for cover, if the rabbits left these two tribes to follow Sane’s group, and Sane’s group could not bring this flock of Rabbits back to the Southern continent, then the Rabbit clan would only have a path to death.
For a moment, the two leaders fell into a dilemma.
"What is wrong?" Draven was still naive not understanding what was happening. Aaron then pulled Draven back, voicing the things the two leaders were worrying about.
The joy on Draven’s face gradually disappeared, his gaze looking at the Rabbit clan group over there was full of reluctance.
The Rabbit clan people saw the awkward expressions of the Crimson group and the light in the rabbits’ eyes extinguished. Everyone tightened their grip on the animal skin bags on their shoulders and lowered their heads dejectedly. Lorenzo could not bear it and said:
"Everyone do not make it difficult for them anymore, even they themselves do not dare to guarantee they can bring all their people back, how can they bring everyone along."
Lorenzo walked forward and patted the Gray Rabbit clan Chief’s shoulder, "Never mind, just stay here. Our several tribes have a bite to eat, we will not let you starve, we also will not let anyone bully you."
The Gray Rabbit Chief shook his head sorrowfully, "The problem is not just that. The Red Snake tribe... they gave us an ultimatum yesterday..."
Lorenzo’s pupils contracted, he momentarily did not know what to say.
Dean looked out of the horse cart door in the crowd, calculation flashed in his eyes. A moment later Dean hurriedly jumped down and bowed before Sane:
"Chief Sane, I have this matter, I do not know if I can speak?"
Sane nodded and allowed Dean to give his opinion. Dean did not beat around the bush, going straight to the point:
"Our Black Bear tribe is a large tribe, capable of protecting the Rabbit clan safely. If they cannot follow you back to Crimson, they can settle right next to our tribe. Behind our tribe is a large valley, enough to accommodate several thousand Rabbit clan members."
Sane narrowed his eyes, "Do you have the right to decide on behalf of your Chief?"
Dean nodded, "Actually, our Chief has had the intention to recruit the Rabbit clan for a long time, it is just that the Black Bear people have crazy blood, therefore the recruitment naturally failed. Now the madness of our tribe can be cured, then I think they will not mind coming to our place to seek shelter. Right?"
He glanced signaling the Gray Rabbit tribe Chief. The Gray Rabbit Chief hesitated for a moment, then nodded. The rabbits had also heard that the Crimson tribe could cure the Black Bear’s madness, but the rabbits still did not quite believe it.
However, there was not much time for the rabbits to doubt now, the Red Snake tribe had already reached their hands towards the Rabbit clan. The Red Snake tribe was a large tribe, if the snakes attacked the Rabbit clan, then these small tribes along the Illusion Forest could not protect the Rabbit clan. The Rabbit clan truly needed to find a new backer now.
Kaelen tapped on the cart side, thought for a while, then whispered into Sane’s ear. Sane listened, nodded, then said to the rabbits:
"Alright then, everyone just follow us to the Black Bear tribe first. Chief Lorenzo, I want to buy ten more horse carts, please help prepare them."
He took out a bag of primeval stones to hand to Lorenzo, and said to Dean, "I am fronting these fifteen thousand primeval stones first, if we can bring them back to Crimson then we will not consider it anymore, but if they cannot return and stay at the Black Bear tribe, then you guys must pay this money back to us."
Dean nodded like a chicken pecking rice, "Of course!"
Sane did not say anything more. Kaelen also just silently observed the Rabbit clan group gradually becoming bustling behind.
Nearly five hundred Rabbits, both beastmen and Sub-Beasts, everyone carried luggage, tools, herbs, and various miscellaneous gear. Finnick looked at that scene and could not hold back blurting out:
"Why do I feel like we are leading a merchant caravan to trade?"
"Because that is exactly how it is." Chloe answered excitedly, her tentacles waved in the air, "It was exactly like this in the Southern continent before. The only difference is that our Warriors walked, leaving the ox carts to transport goods."
"I do not know if we can bring the horse carts back? Sitting in an ox cart goes so slowly it is killing me..."
Draven had already run over to the Rabbit clan’s cart since who knew when, enthusiastically striking up a conversation with them.
Perhaps this was the first time since birth Draven had met so many people of the same clan. Kaelen watched Draven gesturing animatedly, occasionally pointing at the medicine chest on Draven’s back with a face full of pride, and shook his head slightly and smiled.
"Letting him be happy for a bit is also good." Sane said, his voice deep, "Anyway, there are too few Rabbit clan members in our place, the whole tribe counting that mutated Black Rabbit Ian only has eight Rabbit clan people."
Kaelen sighed, "The Rabbit clan is inherently weak, their appearance is outstanding, if there are no other clans protecting them, nine times out of ten they will all be taken away to be slaves."
Sane lowered his head and smiled profoundly, "Why do you think they want to go with us to Crimson? Did you forget the incident of Draven beating a beastman until his teeth fell all over the ground the other day? They came because they consider Draven an idol."
Kaelen burst into laughter, feeling these words could not be wrong anywhere.
The horse carts had been fully delivered, the Rabbit clan people were also arranged stably on the carts. The horse carts rolled, they waved goodbye to the people staying behind.
Waiting until those people only remained as small black dots, a Rabbit clan Sub-Beast sniffled softly:
"Leaving this place, I suddenly feel a bit reluctant..."
The middle-aged Sub-Beast beside rubbed his head and whispered:
"If the old does not go, the new will not come, eventually everything will fall into place."
Even if they could not follow back to Crimson, they still had the Black Bear clan to seek shelter with. Having a large tribe’s protection, their life in the future would definitely be better than now.
