Draven stood in front of the pastry stall, his red eyes scooping a spoonful of pale pink pastry into his mouth. The sweet flavor spreading on his tongue gradually steadied his heart which was beating wildly from fear. His two eyes lit up, exclaiming:

"Oh my, this is so delicious! It’s made from milk, right? I smell milk!"

The White Bear clan Sub-Beast, who was busy making pastries, took a moment to look up, smiling and saying:

"You have a really good nose, it is indeed made from goat milk. We use steamed yam flour mixed with milk, adding dried yam flour and various berries along with honey and edible wild flowers to make pastries."

Draven was stunned: "Eh, you just give me the pastry recipe like that? Aren’t you afraid I will learn it?"

The White Bear clan Sub-Beast smiled: "What is there to be afraid of, learning it is your own skill. I also don’t live by this trade; I just like making pastries and want everyone to eat the pastries I make."

The Crimson Warriors could not help but simultaneously give a thumbs up. The White Bear clan Sub-Beast was taken aback, looked down at his own thumb, and asked in confusion: "What does this mean?"

The Crimson Warriors: "It is praising you; you are the top of the top!"

The White Bear Sub-Beast grinned widely, but immediately his smile froze. He lowered his head and continued making pastries, not bothering to look up anymore. Before the Crimson people could understand why his attitude changed so suddenly, a tall, burly figure had already approached closely to the stall, offering a bouquet of purplish-pink flowers interwoven with several wooden bamboo tubes.

Smelling the sweet fragrance in the air, everyone recognized the thing in these wooden tubes was honey. At this time, they also noticed some unusual red swelling spots on the hands and face of this Black Bear beastman; it seemed he had been stung by bees.

The White Bear clan Sub-Beast looked at the items offered before his face, then looked at the red spots on that Black Bear beastman’s hands. His jaw clenched slightly, and the hand kneading dough also exerted a bit more force. He bit his lip, his voice cold:

"Dean, I already told you, I do not like you. Do not bring things for me anymore, I will not accept them."

Draven keenly caught a slight tremor in his voice; it seemed this Sub-Beast was not truly as heartless as his words suggested.

The Black Bear clan beastman did not say anything, just silently placed the flowers and honey down, then quickly walked away. Draven secretly nudged the two Warriors standing behind him once, and the two immediately left without a sound.

Draven slowly savored the pastry in his mouth, speaking softly: "You clearly also like him, why reject him like that?"

The hand of the White Bear clan Sub-Beast kneading dough paused slightly, his voice trembling as he asked:

"How do you know?"

Draven shrugged: "I was just like you before. My mate was the heir of the White Tiger clan. The rule of the White Tiger clan is that the heir’s mate can only be a White Tiger clan Sub-Beast, therefore I also did not dare to reveal my feelings, also rejecting his pursuit."

The White Bear Sub-Beast asked again: "What happened then?"

"The old tribe disbanded completely. After merging into the new tribe, he was no longer the heir, and we just moved forward."

The White Bear clan Sub-Beast shook his head bitterly: "How can that be the same. You have probably heard about the Black Bear clan too; I do not want to ’lose a husband young and lose a child old’, how miserable such a life would be. Perhaps I do truly like him, but I am not brave enough to face such a lonely life..."

Draven tilted his head: "But you two like each other. In this life, who knows about tomorrow; perhaps today is calm but tomorrow is a storm. So what is the point of thinking so much, isn’t it better to just follow the rhythm of your heart?"

Hearing that, the White Bear clan Sub-Beast paused slightly, his whole body going blank. Draven did not say another word. After receiving an ’ok’ signal from the two warriors just now, he quickly scooped the rest of the pastry into his mouth. He packed a few pastries on the stall himself, using his teammates’ cover to put them into the spatial bag, then took out primeval stones and placed them on the Sub-Beast’s stall.

Such delicious pastries should be brought back for the kids and the two leaders to taste; who knows, Priest Kaelen might feel inspired to make pastries, and then he would get to mooch off him every day.

After paying, Draven led everyone towards his two teammates. With them was the Black Bear clan beastman named Dean from earlier.

As soon as he saw Draven approaching, this beastman immediately stepped forward, asking eagerly: "Is what they said true? Can you really cure our clan’s madness?"

Draven blinked and tilted his head to look at his two teammates. Those two Warriors immediately pretended not to see, tilting their heads forty-five degrees looking up at the sky. Draven felt helpless and said to Dean:

"I have to find the root cause first before I can research a treatment method. Come with us back to the Golden Lion tribe."

The large beastman’s pitch-black eyes flashed a ray of frantic hope, but it was very quickly suppressed by skepticism: "Can you really treat it? For hundreds of thousands of years, any talented healer or Priest has pronounced the Black Bear’s madness as incurable; what guarantee do you have?"

Draven grinned; the two Crimson Warriors behind him immediately stepped forward, each grabbing one of Dean’s armpits and dragging him away:

"Why do you talk so much? Don’t you know villains die from talking too much? If you want to know whether it can be cured or not, just come with us; it’s not like we are going to do anything indecent to your bear!"

And so Dean was dragged by this unreasonable group back to the guest housing area of the Golden Lion tribe. The people in the Golden Lion tribe could not help but glance over, clicking their tongues twice:

"I heard they have been turning the market upside down since morning; I don’t know what kind of trick they are playing now."

"That is a Black Bear clan beastman; he wasn’t beaten unconscious by them after having a madness episode, was he?"

"I see he is still very conscious, his eyes are wide open like that. Just ignore them; this Crimson group is probably even crazier than the Black Bears."

Kaelen was reclining on a lounge chair resting his back, holding an ancient array book in his hand reading attentively, occasionally stroking the little mouse lying quietly in his lap. Sane was teaching Finnick some sword moves, conveniently polishing the boy’s synergy with Chloe.

Siley also came today, making pottery blanks while talking to the purple egg placed in the basket nearby.

When Draven dashed into the courtyard, they all stopped the work in their hands and looked up.

"Priest! Chief! Look at this white mouse... I mean, the new patient I just picked up from the market!" Draven cheered happily, plopping the vine basket on the ground, then carefully taking the pastries from the spatial bag and placing them on the table: "This is yam milk pastry, it is very delicious; I specially brought it back for you and the kids!"

Kaelen amusedly accepted the pastries, his sharp gaze sweeping over Dean: "Is this a Black Bear clan person?"

Everyone in the courtyard stood up and walked to the front of Dean.

Dean was made uncomfortable by the evaluating gazes of these people as if looking at goods. He evaluated the four people before him and immediately recognized the famous Crimson leaders from yesterday’s market.

Dean placed his right hand on his left chest and bowed: "Greetings to the respected Chief and Priest. I am Dean, an Intermediate-stage Martial Master warrior of the Black Bear clan."

At this time, two Warriors had run into the house to carry out tables, chairs, and reception items, conveniently bringing along Draven’s medicine chest. Kaelen extended his hand inviting Dean to sit down. He turned to ask Draven:

"Have you checked his body yet?"

Draven shook his head: "Not yet, it is inconvenient outside." Finishing speaking, he took the fabric pillow out of the medicine chest and said to Dean: "Place your right wrist here, inner wrist facing up, hand slightly curled. Alright, now I will start examining you; remember to relax your body as much as possible."

Dean nodded nervously. Draven placed three fingers on the pulse on Dean’s wrist, closed his eyes, and transmitted his Divine Energy in. This was the optimal ’pulse diagnosis’ method that Kaelen and Draven had researched when the ’X-ray machine’ Walter was not here.

Dean only felt his wrist warm up, then streams of warm water entered his body following the main blood vessels, spreading throughout his body. Dean was startled, his martial power automatically generating an instinctual defense mechanism. Sane placed his hand on his shoulder, gently suppressing the fluctuating martial power in his body.

After checking for a while, Draven opened his eyes, withdrawing his hand and yielding the position to Kaelen. Kaelen also repeated the same action. After he finished checking, he and Draven started to state their examination results, agreeing on each anomaly.

This was their usual working method when encountering difficult medical cases.

"The meridians are clear, completely showing no signs of blockage, but at the core’s position, there is something accumulating, unable to be probed."

Sane stroked his chin, turning to say to Dean: "Condense your Martial weapon for me to see."

Dean nodded, placing his hand on his wrist, drawing out a broad-bladed saber that looked extremely domineering, very suitable for his appearance. However, the moment the saber was fully drawn out, all the weapons in the hands of the Crimson people instantly vibrated, without their masters’ control, all entering a combat-ready stance, pointing their sharp tips toward the saber in Dean’s hand.

Dean stiffened, not daring to move even a little bit.

Sane frowned: "The murderous aura of this saber is too heavy! Are the Martial weapons of your tribe all the same?"

Dean gripped the saber hilt tightly in his hand, his voice deep: "Not exactly; there are broadswords, there are also long sabers, and also heavy swords. But since you mention it I just noticed, our Martial weapons are all much larger than the Martial weapons of other clans."

Chloe jumped onto the table, staring intently at the saber in Dean’s hand, then jumped onto Sane’s shoulder, whispering softly. Sane’s pupils contracted into a vertical slit:

"Do you usually use it for hunting? When finishing off the prey, is the amount of blood they shed very little?"

Dean’s eyes lit up: "That is right, how do you know?!"

At this point, what could Kaelen not understand.

So the madness of the Black Bear clan was not congenital, but caused by the Martial weapons!
