The Light God King had never been this weak. Peerless was a World-rank Divine Weapon. Its edge was devastating, far beyond what elemental dispersal alone could negate. He had suffered grievous injuries.

The Radiant God Physique could absorb limitless Light Energy, though. With his units continuously supplying him light from below, his complexion quickly improved.

Han Wu and Jing Jing watched from the side with frowns. The Light God King’s vitality was more terrifying than a locust’s. He had been reduced to shreds, yet he had still managed to pull himself back together. He was worse than unkillable.

The greatest burden fell on Han Wu. Breaking into the Light God King’s divine realm to assassinate him had been a spur-of-the-moment decision. The battle had escalated to this point, and his units had put their lives on the line to give him this advantage. If he gave up now, their sacrifices would mean nothing.

Han Wu made up his mind and spoke with absolute conviction. “If I can’t kill you once, then I’ll do it twice, three times, however many times it takes. You will die.”

By now, the Light God King had recovered most of his injuries, thanks to the massive influx of Light Energy from his units. Han Wu had pushed him to the brink of death, a humiliation he refused to swallow.

His resolve to kill Han Wu only hardened. “As long as my light endures, I will not die. As long as I still have living units, I will never truly fall. You want to kill me? Come! One of us dies today!”

The Light God King ripped 100 Microcosms from his reserves, forged them into a Spear of Victory, and locked onto Han Wu.

At his peak the Light God King was at the very top of the Subcosm rank. The theoretical maximum for a Subcosm being was 999,999 Microcosms, but that was only an ideal. His actual count was 530,000. Most were ordinary, but some were of exceptional quality. Together, they gave him peak Subcosm strength. Compared to 530,000, 100 Microcosms was a drop in the bucket. If it meant killing Han Wu, he would gladly burn through 10,000.

The instant the Light God King locked onto him, Han Wu felt lethal danger close in from every direction. It was an attack he couldn’t dodge or evade.

The Spear of Victory shot toward him at blinding speed.

An ordinary life form would have died before it even registered the attack. Han Wu was different. The moment the lock-on took hold, his Duel and True Martial Jurisdictions responded.

The Duel God Physique allowed him to improve rapidly during combat. Under the crushing pressure of the lock-on, his instincts sharpened until he could predict the Spear of Victory’s exact trajectory. Meanwhile, the True Martial God Physique multiplied his physical abilities tenfold. Together, the two God Physiques pushed his reaction speed to the extreme.

Han Wu slashed and Peerless met the Spear of Victory edge-on. It wasn’t luck. His absolute reaction speed allowed him to intercept it.

Earlier Steely had done the same thing. He had read the spear’s trajectory through sheer instinct and blocked it with a blade forged from hurricane and Obsidrum. However, his blade hadn’t been strong enough to withstand a 100-Microcosm Spear of Victory. He had been forced to use the Second Hand and exploit the resulting time gap to bypass the spear and strike the Light God King directly.

Peerless was in another class entirely. Its blade ground against the Spear of Victory and held firm. Through sheer quality alone, Peerless shattered the spear completely, and 100 Microcosms vanished into nothing.

Han Wu had fended off the Light God King’s strongest attack head-on, and the latter was at a loss. He couldn’t win nor could he flee. His survival depended entirely on his units supplying him with Light Energy. Without them, Han Wu would’ve cut him down long ago.

“You said that as long as your units are alive, you’ll never truly die. Did I hear that right?” Han Wu called out.

A bad feeling crept over the Light God King.

“What are you planning? I’m warning you. Don’t do anything reckless. Just because you blocked my attack doesn’t mean I can’t kill you,” the Light God King barked, but the panic in his voice was unmistakable.

To Han Wu, it sounded like nothing more than the desperate bravado of a man staring death in the face.

A hint of madness flickered in Han Wu’s eyes as he said, “If you could kill me, you would have done it already. You said you won’t die as long as your units live, right? Then I’ll kill every last one of them. What will you do then?”

“You wouldn’t dare!” the Light God King bellowed.

Ten Spears of Victory forged from ten Microcosms each launched at Han Wu in rapid succession. Volley after volley tore through the air. The Light God King had thrown all caution aside. He was burning through Microcosms just to push Han Wu back.

Han Wu swung Peerless at blinding speed and shattered every incoming spear. At the same time, he signaled Jing Jing to intensify the skeleton sea’s assault.

Light barriers shattered one after another. Bone Dragons surged from the skeleton sea and threw themselves at the Microcosm Light Mage Lords. An endless tide of bone weapons and skeletons followed, crashing into every Light Mage within reach.

“No!” The Light God King grew frantic. He forged another 100-Microcosm Spear of Victory and hurled it at Jing Jing.

Han Wu intercepted it at extreme speed and said in a calm, deliberate voice, “From here on, you get to watch your units die. One by one.”

Jing Jing dove into the skeleton sea herself. Wherever she went, the Microcosm Light Mage Lords could barely react before she cut them down. This was the Skeleton Queen’s true power.

Steely, the repaired Supreme Power, the reformed Dark Locust, Sword God Akanzor, and Bow God Bart followed. Under Han Wu’s command, they all plunged into the Light God King’s divine realm alongside the skeleton sea.

Bow God Bart pinpointed the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King and the Wrath War Tyrannosprite King. He tore open a spatial corridor and teleported every available fighter to their location. Together, they ganged up on the two Subcosm Light Mage Saints.

The Light God King saw everything. He wanted to intervene, but Han Wu blocked him at every turn. Before long, Han Wu’s elite units and Jing Jing’s skeleton sea had completely overrun the Light God King’s divine realm. Every single Light Mage was dead.

The Light God King could no longer sense his core race. The flow of Light Energy had stopped.

Peerless blazed once more in Han Wu’s hands. He used Steelcutter and brought the blade down. “Die!”

That final slash ended the Light God King’s life.

Back at the Light Faction’s headquarters, the Major Gods had just managed to repel the invading forces. They were about to report to the Light God King when a violent sensation tore through their minds.

Their faith in the light had collapsed. The Light God King had fallen. From that day forward, there would be no more light in the Divine Civilization.
