The People's God: Sacrificing Trillions to Ascend

Chapter 1001 - Skeleton Sea Tactic

  • Next Chapter

In the next instant, Han Wu entered the Light God King’s divine realm.

As a God King who had held his title for ages, the Light God King had developed his divine realm to an extraordinary degree. Arenas, training grounds, churches, and palaces sprawled across it so densely that they nearly covered the entire realm.

Every last one of those structures was build from Divine Essence! The Light God King’s wealth was beyond measure.

Han Wu also sensed the units living within it. Their total number exceeded 100 billion, and that was only the population within the divine realm itself. The Origin Microcosm alone held that many.

A hundred billion units meant nothing to Han Wu. His core units were locusts, and their greatest strengths were devouring and breeding.

The Light God King’s core units were a different story though. They weren’t low-tier locusts but Light Mages, Unique life forms from birth. A single Light Mage was worth 100,000 locusts. That meant 100 billion Light Mages were equivalent to 10 quadrillion locusts.

As Han Wu did the math, he fully grasped the staggering scale of the Light God King’s resources. On top of that, the Light God King had carefully nurtured those Light Mages over the years. Every one of them was powerful.

The moment Han Wu appeared above the divine realm, two Subcosm Light Mage Emperors charged toward him. Both wielded the Light Jurisdiction’s power, and their pressure rivaled that of a veteran Major God. Their attacks were strong enough that even Han Wu didn’t dare take them head-on.

Han Wu wasn’t defenseless either. Subcosm fighters? He had those too.

At his command, a massive gate opened behind him. The Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King and the Wrath War Tyrannosprite King stepped through together. Both were Subcosm life forms. Unlike the two Light Mage Emperors, however, they hadn’t comprehended a Divine Jurisdiction embryo and therefore couldn’t use Jurisdiction power.

They had their own advantages though. Having been born from the same source and fought side by side for years, they shared seamless coordination that compensated for their lack of Jurisdiction power.

Steely emerged behind them. He still hadn’t reached the Subcosm rank, yet his actual combat strength was already close. In terms of raw destructive power, he could hold his own against a Subcosm opponent.

The giant puppet Supreme Power followed, with V controlling it. Under V’s expert control, Han Wu’s side gained yet another formidable Subcosm fighter.

The two Light Mage Emperors felt the pressure mount. They only had two Subcosm fighters, while the enemy fielded four. How were they supposed to beat them?

While the two Light Mage Emperors hesitated, the two Tyrannosprite Kings transformed into twin battle tornadoes and slammed into them.

A vicious four-way battle erupted.

Steely and the Supreme Power took on the Microcosm Light Mage Lords that rushed in as reinforcements.Despite their overwhelming strength, they still struggled against the enemy’s superior numbers and the wide variety of skills thrown at them.

The front line quickly settled into a stalemate.

Han Wu was far from finished. His units poured through the portal. Swarms of locusts, Nuclear Locusts, and Blood Wraiths flooded into the divine realm with overwhelming numbers.

They were followed by units from other evolutionary lines, each charging into battle against the Light Mages. Even his non-core units joined the invasion. Epistians, Scorching Dwarves, minotaurs, tigermen, and half-dragons marched in formation, eager to prove themselves.

An invasion of this scale was impossible for the Light God King to overlook. He tried to rush back to his divine realm, but Jing Jing locked onto him with a Forced Invasion Card before he could make it back.

In the next instant, Jing Jing arrived inside the Light God King’s divine realm as well. She saw that Han Wu had already engaged the Light God King’s units and refused to fall behind.

Invoking the authority of the Soul God King, she activated the Soul Jurisdiction’s effect, Soul-Body Fusion. Countless corpses answered her call. Bones tore free from flesh and reformed into soul-attribute skeleton soldiers. In moments, a massive skeleton army began to take shape.

Han Wu decided to add even more fuel to the fire. He opened a portal to his Life Microcosm, and a tidal mischief of rats flooded into the divine realm. Many of the surviving Light Mages were engulfed and gnawed to death before they could react.

At the same time, plenty of rats fell to the Light Mages’ attacks. Neither Han Wu nor Jing Jing let a single corpse go to waste.

Jing Jing used her skeleton-summoning technique to raise the dead. Her skeletons had their bone attribute replaced with the soul attribute, making them far less vulnerable to light-attribute attacks or Purification.

Han Wu drew upon his Nether King Jurisdiction and cast his own skeleton summoning on the corpses. The rat skeletons that crawled out were of little value. Their abilities were mediocre at best, so Han Wu ground them down into bone sand to increase his numbers.

The Light Mage corpses were another matter entirely. As Unique life forms by birth, they retained an affinity for light-attribute magic even after being raised as skeletons. Han Wu watched the skeleton Light Mages fight their living counterparts and found the sight deeply amusing.

Under their combined efforts, the skeleton soldiers multiplied until they formed a skeleton sea. From a distance, a vast gray-white ocean of bones spread across the Light God King’s divine realm, with countless skeleton soldiers rising and falling within the tide.

New skeletons were constantly shattered in brutal fighting, yet every skeleton within the sea was effectively immortal. A shattered skeleton’s remains would be grounded into bone sand by the tide. That bone sand would then reshape and repair other skeletons.

The skeleton sea had become a catastrophe capable of devouring the Light God King’s entire divine realm.
