The Moon Goddess Chose Me as the Luna of Four Alphas
Chapter 73: You owe me a great deal, my Luna
The next morning, Leonhardt returned to Liliana’s room. The girl was still lying in bed, her face growing even paler.
He said nothing and sat back down in the chair beside her, watching her calmly.
"Your Highness..." his personal subordinate said as he hurried over to him. He quickly bowed respectfully.
Leonhardt nodded without turning around. "Speak."
"Everything is going smoothly. There is now a disturbance around the academy. The Emperor has even summoned the Alphas from the nearby territories to deal with it."
Leonhardt nodded casually, as if it were nothing important.
"Anything else?"
"The Headmaster of Mirena Academy has sent a letter to the Emperor, as you ordered."
"Hmm," Leonhardt replied. "Release a few more restrictions. I want the Emperor to make his decision today."
"Yes, Your Highness," the subordinate answered before hurrying deeper into Leonhardt’s palace.
Leonhardt turned his gaze back to Liliana. His hand touched the girl’s silver hair.
"You owe me a great deal, my Luna. I’ll collect what I’m owed when the time comes."
By noon, one of the Emperor’s subordinates hurried to Leonhardt’s palace.
"Your Highness..." the subordinate said.
"Has something happened?" Leonhardt asked as he stepped out of Liliana’s room.
"His Majesty the Emperor has summoned you. There is a problem at Mirena Academy, and he needs you to resolve it."
Leonhardt nodded.
"I’ll go see Imperial Father."
He hurried toward the Emperor’s palace, walking a little faster than usual. Even the Emperor’s subordinate had to run to keep up with him.
No one noticed how calm Leonhardt’s eyes remained, without the slightest ripple of emotion.
"This son pays his respects to His Majesty the Emperor."
"Rise," the Emperor said.
Leonhardt stood up and looked at the Emperor, who was still watching him with a scrutinizing gaze.
After a few moments, the Emperor finally spoke.
"You may return to Mirena Academy now. Help them deal with the Nightfangs that have lost control."
"Nightfangs?" Leonhardt asked, frowning.
"You may take Liliana with you to seek a cure, using the information you requested from this Emperor’s physician."
Leonhardt bowed his head.
"Then this son thanks Imperial Father," Leonhardt replied.
The Emperor waved his hand.
"I have already sent the Alpha of Pack Ardent and the Alpha of Pack Valmont. You can lead them in dealing with those Nightfangs."
"Yes."
Leonhardt turned and immediately left the Emperor’s palace after receiving permission.
"Is everything ready?" Leonhardt asked as soon as he arrived at his own palace.
"Yes, Your Highness. We have also moved Miss Liliana into the carriage."
"We’re leaving now," Leonhardt said.
Leonhardt and several of his subordinates immediately left the imperial palace in haste.
The residents living outside the palace quickly lowered their heads and stepped aside when they saw Leonhardt and his people leaving in such a hurry.
"Your Highness, the Alpha of Pack Valmont is waiting in Pack Ardent’s territory."
"The teleportation circle leading to Mirena Academy is being prepared. Once we arrive, we can use it immediately."
"Hyah!"
Leonhardt urged his horse to run faster without responding to his subordinate.
Although those with imperial blood possessed far greater power than other werewolves, their ability to remain in wolf form was still limited. Therefore, they rarely revealed their wolf forms unless absolutely necessary. Their wolf forms consumed far more energy.
When they arrived in Pack Ardent’s territory, Leonhardt dismounted. He walked toward Liliana’s carriage and carried her out.
"We pay our respects to the Crown Prince and the Crown Princess of the Morovela Empire," the members of Pack Ardent and Pack Valmont said, having waited for him in front of the entrance.
Leonhardt nodded and walked toward their Alphas.
"This Alpha pays his respects—"
Leonhardt waved his hand.
"We’re leaving now," he said.
They quickly nodded and began entering the teleportation circle leading to Mirena Academy.
The journey from the Morovela Empire to Mirena Academy would take seven days, and it would be a long trip if they insisted on using horses to get there.
Leonhardt, his subordinates, the Alphas of Pack Ardent and Pack Valmont, and their Betas quickly activated the teleportation circle.
Yellowish-gray light surrounded them, and in an instant, they were transported to the Dean’s office.
"Crown Prince," the Dean greeted him, having already been waiting there.
Leonhardt nodded and walked toward Lucien, who was waiting nearby.
"Take Liliana to her room. Look after her for a while."
Lucien looked at Liliana with a troubled expression, then looked into the Crown Prince’s eyes for a few moments before nodding.
"I’ll take her to her room."
Leonhardt turned around and immediately disappeared using his power, followed by the Dean, the two Alphas, and his subordinates.
By the time they arrived in front of the academy, Leonhardt had already transformed into a golden wolf. He stood behind the academy students who were struggling to fight off a group of Nightfangs.
He let out a loud howl and charged toward the crowd of Nightfangs trying to enter the academy.
Leonhardt’s movements as the heir to the throne were different from those of the aspiring Alphas when attacking.
His movements were graceful and unhurried, yet sharp and always precise. Not a single movement was wasted.
Every slash of his claws killed the Nightfangs around him without leaving any survivors.
One Nightfang after another fell beneath his paws, leaving only blood and corpses scattered across the ground.
The aspiring Alphas instinctively moved aside when Leonhardt began using his power to deal with the Nightfangs.
They preferred to circle around and attack the Nightfangs farther away from him.
Only the Dean, the Alpha of Pack Valmont, and the Alpha of Pack Ardent continued fighting near Leonhardt.
Leonhardt let out a low growl as he saw the group of Nightfangs, whose numbers far exceeded his expectations.
He glanced at the Dean.
"I’ll lure some of them toward the edge of the forest. You, Alpha Valmont, and Alpha Ardent will work together with everyone here."
"Your Highness..." the Dean said in disagreement.
Leonhardt ignored him. His gaze shifted to Cassian, the black wolf who was also fighting the Nightfangs around him.
He let out a low howl, calling Cassian’s name in the language of wolves.
"Help me herd some of these Nightfangs toward the edge of the forest," he said.
Cassian raised his head to look at Leonhardt before nodding and answering with a howl.
Swak!
His claws ripped open the belly of the Nightfang in front of him. He quickly ran after Leonhardt, moving swiftly and nimbly.
Leonhardt glanced around. Some of the Nightfangs had begun following him and Cassian from behind.
Meanwhile, inside the academy room, Liliana’s body suddenly moved. Her face grew even paler.
Lucien, who was sitting beside her bed, immediately stood up.
"Liliana?"
The girl’s body began to tremble. Silver opened his eyes within Liliana’s consciousness and began using his power after sensing a tremendous threat.
"Liliana... something is targeting your mate. Wake up, quickly!"
