Chapter 40: I will erase the mark that Xavier

The man smiled faintly. There was not a single person who did not know who he was. A man with abilities and appearance so magnificent that they made the world and everything in it tremble along with him.

Lucien Valmont. An Alpha candidate ranked in the top ten. The Emperor’s trusted pack whose every member possessed brilliant analytical and strategic abilities on the battlefield.

Liliana swallowed her saliva heavily. Damn, she cursed inwardly.

She had forgotten to tell Cassian about this, that she did not only have a fated mate bond with Xavier Laurent, but also with the man in front of her.

"Sorry. I’m leaving," Liliana said with a trembling body. "Brother, I’ll take my shopping later. Please keep it for me for a moment," Liliana said.

Lucien stared at Liliana with narrowed eyes.

He nodded politely to the cashier attendant before hurriedly running to chase after Liliana.

Liliana did not dare to look back. She knew that man would definitely chase her. And she... she was not a lewd wolf who wanted to be marked by many werewolves. She only needed one mate. She did not want more than that.

Lucien frowned before turning in another direction when Liliana’s steps grew faster.

Liliana exhaled several times when she no longer heard footsteps behind her.

"I’m safe," Liliana said. She leaned her body against the dormitory corridor wall and stroked her chest slowly.

"I have to tell Older brother about this immediately. He will definitely know how to get me out of this situation."

Liliana nodded. "Right. Only he can help me," Liliana said. She stood upright again and walked toward Cassian’s room.

However, the moment she arrived at the end of the corridor, the face she had just met at the minimarket now appeared in front of her.

Liliana’s body stopped instantly. She looked up. "You..."

"Liliana Draven," he called in a soft, yet gentle voice.

Slowly, he moved trying to approach Liliana.

Liliana kept stepping back, trying to avoid him.

Seeing her frightened, Lucien smiled in satisfaction. He reached for Liliana’s shoulder and held her for a moment.

He stared into Liliana’s dark brown eyes, then brought his face closer to Liliana’s shoulder.

But before getting closer, Lucien’s hand gripped Liliana’s shoulder even harder. He stared at her sharply.

"Who has marked you?" Lucien asked.

"You... don’t do this..." she said.

"Damn!" Lucien cursed. "I’m asking one more time, who has marked you, Liliana?" Lucien asked in a hoarse voice.

Liliana shook her head. "Let go of your hand. I have to return to my room. Don’t block my way."

Lucien lowered his head. His hand moved to hold Liliana’s chin.

"That ridiculous red wolf?" he asked. "He marked you?"

"I have been searching for your whereabouts the entire day, but you let another man mark you as his luna?"

"That’s none of your business. Now you can cancel this mate mark. You don’t need to say anything to me."

"You gave your body to another wolf even before the mate from the Moon Goddess marked you?" Lucien stared at her sharply. "You are truly a wolf with great lust, Liliana."

"You... what do you want to do to me? Let me go!" Liliana said the moment Lucien’s hand slipped into her clothes.

"I am the Alpha candidate approved by the Moon Goddess to become your mate. Do you know how hard I held myself back from touching you and immediately marking you in the meeting hall yesterday?"

"Don’t you feel the same feelings as me, Liliana?" Lucien added. Lucien’s breath sounded ragged in Liliana’s ear.

Liliana stood trembling, her body beginning to react strongly to the scent of Lucien’s wolf. Silver inside her—who had already calmed down after allowing Xavier to mark her a few hours ago—now growled with a sound that made her want to run.

"Lucien..." she said with eyes that were beginning to blur. "You can cancel our fated bond, I won’t rebel. Please stop and perform that cancellation immediately."

Lucien’s hand movement stopped instantly.

"Hah! So you prefer being marked by an Alpha candidate who is not your mate from the Moon Goddess, Liliana? Does your wolf not demand you to surrender yourself to me now? Don’t you feel how crazy the wolf inside you is, just like what I’m experiencing right now?"

Liliana swallowed her saliva heavily.

"No... you’re misunderstanding. Xavier, he..."

Lucien sealed Liliana’s mouth with his lips, cutting off the words the girl wanted to say. He used his tongue to explore Liliana’s mouth, trying to take everything she had.

Liliana was stunned, her eyes widened the moment Lucien kissed her greedily.

"You are mine, Liliana," Lucien said in a hoarse voice the moment he released their kiss. Saliva flowed between them, proving how deep their kiss had been.

"Hah! I can no longer hold it any longer," Lucien said. He pushed Liliana against the wall and began kissing her neck with full passion. "Liliana... your scent... your scent truly drives me crazy. Liliana... my Luna..." Lucien said in a voice that demanded more.

Liliana felt the same thing. Her body responded strongly to every touch from Lucien. "Lucien..." Liliana called in a trembling voice. "I... I want you too."

Lucien looked up to stare at Liliana who was now returning the same gaze—a gaze that demanded more. Lucien diverted his attention to the corridor and the window that was beginning to show sunlight; a sign that morning was about to arrive.

He swallowed his saliva heavily. "We can’t do it here," Lucien said. "I’ll take you to my dormitory room."

Liliana nodded. She reached for Lucien’s neck and began sniffing the man’s neck greedily the moment Lucien carried her toward his dormitory room that was quite far away.

"Liliana, hold yourself back," Lucien said the moment Liliana’s hand tried to slip into his clothes.

"Lucien... faster. I’ll surrender myself completely. Quickly mark me," Liliana said desperately.

Lucien glanced at Liliana, his fingers that were now carrying Liliana’s body tightened instantly. He looked up and resumed walking quickly toward the corridor of his room. The dormitory corridor was still quiet; no one knew what was happening between the two of them.

Bang!

The sound of the door closing hard was heard behind Lucien’s body. He carefully laid Liliana’s body on the bed, then turned around to lock the room and activate protective magic.

After making sure everything was safe, he turned to stare at Liliana who was now looking at him with a seductive gaze in Lucien’s eyes.

"Liliana... I will erase the mark that Xavier has given you and replace it completely with my mark. Don’t expect me to show you any mercy," he said with dark eyes.
