232. Arrived in the Academy City and Reporting to the Chat Group.

The next day, as agreed, Kaito, Ravel, and Sakuya (Est was also there, but she was in inventory) went to the world of To Aru mainly to help Misaka save her sisters and then have a date here with Ravel.

However, Kaito's group got separated from Misaka... because Misaka transferred to the girls' dormitory of Tokiwadai Middle School. There's no way Kaito, a boy, would appear in Misaka's dormitory.

"My apologies, master, but our priority first is to find a place to stay since we are going to be here for a while," Sakuya suggested calmly.

"That's... a good idea." Kaito nodded, accepting his maid's suggestion, and turned to Ravel, who seemed nervous without reason, "What do you think, Ravel-sama?"

"I-I am fine, Kaito-san." Ravel answered nervously, "I will follow you too."

"No need to be nervous." Kaito said with a joking tone and whispered to her ear, "At least I won't eat you right away, Ravel-sama~."

Hearing his whisper, Ravel's face quickly reddened like a ripe tomato, clearly embarrassed from his teasing.

Previously, he would have been embarrassed to do this kind of thing, but now Kaito is quite open with it. It's not like his personality has changed; Kaito just realized that flirting with the girls around him is a good method to relieve some stress, on top of building relationships with people around him.

In the modern city full of technology, identity is the most important thing to have. Thankfully, it was easily solved by using points (15.000 points per person), a bit expensive, and only at the surface level. 

What the surface level does mean, it easily fools most of the system in the Academy city, but this facade won't be able to affect anyone who resides deep in this world. For example, people with 7* strength, like Aleister and Aiwas... Or people with special connections in this world, like the church leaders.

The chat group actually could have fooled them, too, but it was way too expensive to purchase (1 million per person), so Kaito decided not to do it. Besides, Kaito knows he will meet Aleister at some point since wanting to stop Misaka sisters' project means they will definitely affect his plan.

Because Misaka's transfer method was so flashy (before the group chat function upgrade), Aleister knew Misaka had disappeared in her room, even though a split second later, Misaka reappeared in the same spot, as if she had never disappeared to begin with. 

Unfortunately, as part of his core plan, Aleister always pays attention to her carefully, so he does notice the time disparity. On top of that, Misaka's drastic change also confirmed his suspicion that Misaka had vanished from this world in that split second... as Aleister couldn't find Misaka's trail in any other parallel world.

Aleister also detected that Misaka's ability to control electromagnetic elements had increased dramatically; in fact, it could be said that Misaka was now halfway to level 6. Furthermore, Aleister could sense something physically wrong with Misaka's (devil fruit), and he was certain it wasn't the result of magic.

As for why Aleister was certain Kaito came from the same place as Misaka, their talk about Misaka and the unexplained method of establishing identity was the main evidence. Furthermore, Aleister could also analyze that something was physically wrong with Kaito's group from their energy alone, as he believed they were all non-human. (devil)

Just depend on his intuition, Kaito is sure that at this point, Aleister has paid attention to them and might even be currently trying to figure out anything about them. What makes it worse is that there's nothing they can do about it. 

The whole city is his home, and they were severely disadvantaged against him.

And Kaito guessed Aleister probably wanted to make sure they wouldn't be an obstacle to his plan.
