219. Base World Development and The Promised Date with Aika. (1)

It's been two months since Est has come back, and Kaito has been living in the base world for just as long to be responsible for the former cursed children who have been living in this world.

In these two months, Kaito and others have successfully educated all the cursed children to live independently and even created the first running city in the base world. Because all cursed children are essentially enhanced little girls, they possess stronger thinking abilities and strength than ordinary humans (and enthusiasm), making them easier to teach than average normal children.

With the help of other chat group members and some non-chat group members (like Seitenshi and Kisara), Kaito was able to establish the world's first school in the base world, which he named "Aincrad Academy," and he also serves as the academy's headmaster. At this academy, the former cursed children are taught regular school material, plus several extra classes such as combat, medicine, and even magic and ninjutsu.

Coincidentally, the name of the city where Kaito was running for was named 'Aincrad City' too. All of this was part of foreshadowing for his plan to put the SEED on the center of this city later on.

For the teaching staff, Kaito temporarily asked Aika to summon several servants with a history as teachers and get along with the children, such as Atlanta and Chiron. Furthermore, Kaito also recruited several teachers from other worlds, such as Jiraiya (Naruto), Yukihira Joiichiro (Shokugeki no Souma), Sumire Miroto (Black Bullet), and Ran (Akame Ga Kill).

In the past two months, there have also been several worlds connected to the base world too and they were currently busy handling them. Refugees from High School of the Dead top the list as the largest number of immigrants, and are directly managed by Yuu.

There are also immigrants from the Naruto world (which is connected to Kaitogakure, led by Sasuke and Itachi), immigrants from Akame Ga Kill via Paradise City, and finally immigrants from Totsuki Academy (Shokugeki no Souma), although only elite chefs who have come in so far.

These immigrants are arriving in different areas under their control and are encouraged to develop their regions under the direct supervision of a member of the chat group. Gradually, these regions will become separate cities within this world, each with its own unique characteristics and local world culture.

Naturally, the first developed area is the Kaito Aincrad City, since he has Creation and Clone ability, Sakuya by her side, and thousands of manpower cursed children that also want to build their living together.

Also, with everyone deciding together, the chat group has already established a unified currency to use in this base world, regardless of the region/area later on.

They decide to use "Gold", "Silver", and "Copper" coins... the generic setting in most fantasy worlds, so it's very easy to understand.

1 gold worth of 100 silver, and 1 silver worth of 100 copper.

With Aika and Manaka working together, they manage to set a basic price for a commodity: 1 copper worth of 1 apple (easiest to find since there are apple trees everywhere), 1 silver worth of good clothing, 1 gold worth of a decent cold weapon, etc. Every price can be changed/manipulated in the future, as more people coming from outside decide to stay in this world.

Also worth noticing is that each former cursed child got a basic 20 copper coin as their pocket money every day, but depending on their academic ability or achievement, their pocket money may increase... with the highest being 1 silver coin per day earned by the top 10 cursed children in the Academy.

A few absolute world rules have also been established, including the most important: killing others without reason is prohibited, stealing is unacceptable, and finally, no consensual sex or underage sex. The last one seems to have been pushed out by every chat group member because they were afraid Kaito would cause an accident, given how many former cursed children like him, although Kaito himself denies that possibility harshly.

If the system detects a violation, punishment will be automatically imposed, with the most severe being a permanent ban from entering the base world and the violator returned to their own world. With such a system, it can be said that the possibility of war in the base world is unlikely for now, and each region also doesn't need to deploy many security forces, except to protect its areas from wild animals and monsters.

Inside Aincrad Academy's highest tower, Kaito was currently working to fulfill his duties as the city's leader and headmaster. Beside him, there's a former cursed child, Kayo Senju-- appointed by Aika to supervise Kaito's work.

She was a former initiator of Ikuma Shougen, who also survived the whole Scorpion incident. Alongside Rentaro, both of them are now working under Kaito, helping manage the city's safety.

As the model dolphin, Kayo Senju possesses an intellect far superior to that of any other cursed children, with an IQ of 210. After 2 months of working, Aika finally finished her work on recovering all cursed children and bringing them to this world, while also spreading an anti-gastrea vaccine to the whole human race in the Black Bullet. With the found vaccine, there's no risk of any human turning into a Gastrea creature anymore after getting infected by the Gastrea virus.

Now she was temporarily free from responsibility, Aika then found Kaito and asked him out to fulfill his promise to spend his time with all the girls around him. Kaito naturally has no reason to refuse, and is actually quite excited since this is going to be their first 'serious' dating.

"I will make another clone that will stay up to 4 hours." Kaito realized there's still a lot of work to finish-- and just like that, another 'Kaito' appeared beside him, which immediately took his seat, "I am really glad I have learn how to clone myself."

"Ah, then. Have a nice date, brother." Kayo Senju smiled at him, genuinely happy for today's event.

"Then, I will take over. Have a good date, Original." 'Kaito' clone stated

"Yeah, you guys too.

As one of the few adults who manage the city and academy together with a few thousand cursed children, they really lack of manpower to manage hundreds of thousands of children. However, with clone magic, Kaito could multiply himself hundreds of times and let each clone take care of every responsibility he has, like teaching in the class, patrolling the city, and even participating in a building project.

With infinite mana from the root, energy has never been an issue either, but Kaito still feels mental fatigue from each clone, although Kaito has already gotten used to it.

In any case, it still feels much better getting experience of helping hundreds of cute children, more than the experience of witnessing hundreds of cursed children getting tortured by people in black bullet.

Looking at the clock and realizing that there were only 5 minutes left until the appointment time to meet in the center of the city, Kaito quickly teleported to the destination just like that.

Kaito quickly teleported in front of the biggest fountain in the city, similar to the one on the first floor of SAO. The fountain was built specifically as a mark for the center of the city, so it's naturally become one of the main attractions for it's residents.

"I am gonna say again, Sakuya is really amazing when it comes to building stuff."

In just two months, thanks to Kaito providing the material and Sakuya's hard work, the city was already filled with two- or three-story buildings on all sides, with the roads either paved or tiled. Because Kaito was in the center of the city, a wide variety of businesses opened here, from clothing and toys to food... many of them were run by children themselves.

At first, Kaito was stressed out; he was naturally against the idea of children wanting to work, but the thing is, most of the children already understand how the world works and the importance of money, thanks to their harsh experiences. Most of them, whose former initiator is even afraid of having nothing to do as a form of trauma, would rather work instead of playing like any normal children.

In the end, Kaito was forced to agree as long as the cursed children also promise not to work more than 8 hours a day.

Since the majority of the crowd were children who were playing around, it was easy to spot an adult among the children. Aika also quickly spotted him, waving her hand at him to tell him to come over. Thus, Kaito quickly approached her in a hurry.

"Aika... I am sorry... to make you wait... Wow"

At this moment, to say Kaito was captivated by her appearance is an understatement. With waist-length light brown hair that had two thick square long strands going over each side of her shoulders with square bangs, purple eyes, and a lovely complexion and smile that made Kaito's heartbeat pound hard.

In front of Kaito, Fuwa Aika is wearing a white sundress with with straw hat and pretty white heels... something Kaito has never seen before. Unlike usual Aika, who looks serious and calculating, the current Aika is the exact opposite feeling-- cheerful, lovely, youthful, and very mischievous.

"Pffft... I am glad you like it." Didn't expect Kaito to admire her that much, Aika giggled satisfiedly, "You also look good, Kaito. I will give you 95 out of 100."

"Heh, not really, I am just wearing a suit." Kaito just shrugged, "But why is it not 100?"

"Because it's too serious." Aika giggled, "We are going to date, not to party~"

After that, Kaito and Aika went on their date together for the entire day, although it was mainly Kaito following Aika to go wherever she wanted.
