The Martial Unity

Chapter 3612: Lightfeeder

Chapter 3612: Lightfeeder

From within the hole emerged a fleet of humanoid robots like bees emerging from an opening in their hive. Each humanoid robot was much larger than that of a regular human, even if they were shaped with Martial anatomy in mind.

Their chests bore the crest of the Kandrian Empire.

VMMM…!

They emerged from the wormhole in large numbers.

Larger numbers than even the other Martial Artists of the Kandrian Empire could imagine.

Hundreds and thousands of MECHAs emerged from within the wormhole as their propulsion systems allowed them to hover in the air, as the rest of their allies emerged from the world bridge.

VMMM!

The hum of their engine-cores shook the heavens as the MECHA Martial Artists projected a tremendous amount of power collectively.

They were stratified into different layers based on their Realm.

Nearly ten thousand MECHA Martial Artists, most of whom were MECHA Apprentices, while nearly a thousand were MECHA Squires, nearly a hundred MECHA Seniors, and only a dozen MECHA Martial Masters.

The sheer amount of power they projected shook the world as their man and machine were combined in their power. Even the fanatic tekvores felt the air tingle with peril as the powerful machines grew increasingly intense with the energy that they mobilized.

The Martial Artists fighting the tekvores were almost as shocked as the tekvores themselves. Many of them hadn’t interacted with MECHAs as much because of how different they were from normal Martial Art and the fact that they were always segregated from normal Martial infrastructure due to drastically different and greater infrastructural support needs.

They knew MECHAs had progressed a lot, but they simply hadn’t been exposed to the extent to which they had progressed, even during the Beast Incursions, where each Martial Artist had no leeway to study what was happening with other forces.

Beholding the fruits of eighteen years of progress, multiplied by the manifold, suddenly culminate and present themselves in front of them in this manner was truly shocking.

Compared to the clunky and clumsy movements of the original set of MECHAs, the MECHAs before them moved with the fluidity, precision, and accuracy of their own bodies. The enhanced neural interface that the Esoterist and the Psycher had developed together relied on not just electromagnetic sensor technology to read brainwaves, but also on cranial implants to stimulate the sensory region of the brain with light pulses to essentially directly implant information into the mind.

This vastly increased the speed of communication between man and machine, as well as increasing the bandwidth, causing a huge breakthrough in the viability as MECHAs as a combat platform.

RUMBLE

The MECHAs at the very forefront flared a Martial Embodiment that washed over the entire world.

Martial Embodiments that embodied the MECHAs themselves.

“Attack.”

A single command emerged from the MECHA Commander.

“Show them the power of MECHA Martial Art.”

RUMBLE!!!

The world shook as the MECHAs charged forth towards the tekvore with a violent momentum, unleashing a tremendous amount of destruction upon the entire world.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

“Rgh…!”

“It’s a bunch of dwarven mechs!”

“No… those aren’t dwarven, those are Panaman! The Martial Artists have copied the lowly dwarves!”

In ordinary circumstances, that would have been cause for laughter. The dwarves were sneered at as weaklings who could not do anything with their own capabilities. But when the terrifying machines surged forth, crackling with boundless power, they couldn’t help but grit their teeth and struggle to withstand the tremendous pressure that the MECHAs inflicted upon them.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!

Each MECHA Apprentice fought with the power of a Martial Squire.

Each MECHA Squire fought with the power of a Martial Senior.

Each MECHA Senior fought with the power of a Martial Master, even if only low-grade.

And most shockingly, MECHA Masters took on ascendant tekvores who could fight Martial Sages.

VMMMMM!!!

The MECHA Commander surged forth towards Argenton himself, who simply sneered at the machine.

“You have inherited the dwarven stain of cowardice by hiding yourself inside a machine, and yet you can’t even do it as well as them.”

His giant light avatar swung at the MECHA with tremendous power.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

Argenton’s eyes widened with shock as he watched the solid light composing his giant-size avatar of himself crumble, growing sucked up into the black frame of the dark MECHA.

VMMM…!

The heavyweight MECHA had a bulky body, covered in an intricate pitch black armor that didn’t seem to reflect any light whatsoever.

Instead, it greedily sucked up all the light that Argenton generated.

Not just that.

It sucked up all light from across the entire battlefield, turning the entirety of what a bright afternoon day into one of dusk.

“Your paltry light is of no consequence. My MECHA was created to be your antithesis.” A cold, electronically distorted female voice emerged from the MECHA as she throttled her machine to the very limit.

VMMM!!!

Argenton grew horrified as he watched his avatar of light begin to destabilize in the presence of the MECHA Master. “What is this?! What is happening?!”

[Fascinating d[o_0]b. This is the work of an exotic form of matter that I do not comprehend.] NOVA mused with curiosity, completely apathetic to Argenton’s distress

“This…” Bodhisattva Maitreyi recognized the ’scent’ of the esoteric substance and its reaction with light. ’This is the esoteric substance that composes the Blood of Solaris.’

The Blood of Solaris was the national treasure of the Solaris Kingdom, allowing anybody who consumed the substance to gain the ability to absorb light to fuel stamina and energy. Rui had consumed it many years ago, giving him an absolutely tremendous amount of stamina and great energy reserves.

However, the Blood of Solaris was simply an edible and assimilable form of the actual esoteric substance that was responsible for this power. The true, raw esoteric substance responsible for the light-absorbing effects of the Blood of Solaris could be found in the sands of the deserts of the Solaris Kingdom.

“Solarium.”

This particular MECHA, named Lightfeeder, had been designed with the specific intention of becoming antithetical to Argenton and had been equipped with highly purified quasi-Transcendent-level Solarium extracts and potency, making anybody who wielded light against it utterly helpless.
