The Martial Doctor
Chapter 675 - 500: Jin Wushuang (Part 2)
And now she is just the Great Commander of the Guard Unit of Li Hen City’s embroidery house.
Beautiful, with an aura that keeps strangers at bay, no wonder that woman made such a request of him.
From the first meeting, this Jin Wushuang might truly not be interested in men.
Not enticed by men.
Because when she saw Lin Miao come in, she didn’t even blink an eye, completely treating him as air, a transparent person.
To conquer such a woman, how much determination would it take?
However, Jin Wushuang’s figure, especially those slender legs, if they were to clamp down, iron might even break.
Lin Miao was pondering how to address the other party; considering his relationship with Yuyao, he should call her "Auntie."
But his relationship with Baili Yuyao was not public; Baili Yuyao’s husband was Lin Bei, and at least for some time it would not be revealed.
This was not beneficial for either the embroidery house or him, and Baili Bingyun did not want to disclose it either; after all, not revealing it was advantageous for both parties.
"Are you the little rascal my sister Bingyun mentioned?" Jin Wushuang was the first to speak, her tone somewhat icy.
"Is that how Mr. Baili described me?" Lin Miao replied awkwardly.
"Do you call Bingyun senior?"
"Otherwise, should I also call her sister?" Lin Miao jested lightly.
"You really are no good; I don’t know why Sister Bingyun treats you this way, even letting me come to protect your safety." Jin Wushuang stated.
"She wants you to protect my safety?" Lin Miao asked in astonishment, "Is that what she said?"
"Otherwise, you deceived Yuyao’s body; if something were to happen to you, what would Yuyao do for the rest of her life?" Jin Wushuang said, "I watched Yuyao grow up; how could I watch her get hurt?"
"Auntie Wushuang, are you mistaken? I’m not lacking experts like you around me, and my cultivation level isn’t weak. Do I need you to protect me?" Lin Miao slightly revealed the aura of the Upper Grade Meridian Passage Realm and quickly withdrew it.
"You, you’re actually at the Upper Grade Meridian Passage Realm, and you’re so young..." Jin Wushuang’s eyes widened like saucers in shock.
"Eighteen."
"An eighteen-year-old at the Meridian Passage Realm?!" Jin Wushuang was shocked. At twenty years old, reaching the Meridian Passage Realm isn’t uncommon in top-tier sects, such as the Dao Inquiry Sect, Spirit Sword Sect, or Reclining Buddha Temple; they produce one or two every so often.
Talents emerge with each generation.
But an eighteen-year-old at the Meridian Passage Realm should be considered a prodigy; even the top-tier sects might not produce one in a hundred years.
Especially since this Meridian Passage Realm wasn’t at the initial stage, but at the Upper Grade.
Many may not reach from initial to upper in a lifetime; her talent was good, yet it took her eight years.
Those eight years of arduous cultivation were an unbearable memory for Jin Wushuang.
Only she knew how much she sacrificed to reach her current level.
But someone told her they reached it at eighteen, and seemingly effortlessly, which naturally upset her balance.
"Auntie Jin, what do you want to say?"
"Bingyun said you could help me take that final step, so she let me find you." Jin Wushuang now somewhat believed the things Baili Bingyun had told her.
Initially, she was skeptical, but Baili Bingyun was nearly a hopeless case, yet somehow she suddenly broke through and advanced, reversing the unfavorable situation.
Even if she didn’t believe it, she had to try.
Over the years, she had been too relentless in her cultivation, accumulating numerous internal injuries; she couldn’t fix them herself, and even with the Celestial Essence Fruit, her chances of breaking through were minimal.
For some, the Celestial Essence Fruit is only decorative, while for others, it might not have much effect even if they have it.
Of course, this thing does have its uses; even if it can’t help her break through, it can at least help alleviate some of her internal injuries.
"I can’t guarantee anything; I need to check your physical condition first." Lin Miao said cautiously.
"How do you intend to check?" Jin Wushuang asked.
"By taking your pulse, and I’ll also use internal energy to probe your body, but you can’t resist at all, or I won’t be able to determine your entire physical condition," Lin Miao explained.
"Okay." Jin Wushuang nodded; since she came, she should have this trust.
"No rush, Auntie Jin, stay with me for a few days, and when I’m less busy, I’ll conduct an internal probe." Lin Miao stated.
"Alright, arrange a room for me, just simple meals will do; I have no special requirements for food and drink." Jin Wushuang nodded.
"Lin Ying."
"Young Master."
"Take Auntie Jin to rest, and instruct others that nothing must be missing in terms of her needs." Lin Miao called Lin Ying and instructed her.
"Is this the girl from the Fire Spirit Race?" Jin Wushuang recognized Lin Ying’s identity at a glance and exclaimed in surprise.
"Yes."
"You haven’t used any constraints on her?"
"Constraints, why would I when she hasn’t committed any wrong?"
"She’s from a different race; don’t you have any sense of precaution?" Jin Wushuang asked bluntly.
"Auntie Jin, she’s standing right in front of you; do you think she’s a person or something else?" Lin Miao countered.
"Well, she should be considered a person."
"Since she’s a person, she isn’t a different race, just a different ethnicity from us, rather than an entirely different race."
"Ethnicity?"
