Chapter 212: Chapter 212 Savior of Ebonmoon Pack

_Brielle’s POV_

My fingers trembled over the keyboard as I quickly typed in my private bank details. This money was a massive sum of money to drop on an anonymous file, but I didn’t have a choice.

My time was running out, my hands were shaking from exhaustion, and my reputation was dangling by a thin thread.

I hit the final confirmation button, authorizing the immediate transfer to the burner account.

"The money has been sent," I typed back into the private chat screen, my chest rising and falling with restlessness. "Send me the blueprints right now. If this is a scam, I swear I will track you down!”

A few seconds passed in agonizing silence, then, a small download icon popped up on my screen, followed by a large zip file transferring directly into my documents folder.

I opened it instantly, my eyes scanning the high resolution digital drawings that was wide across my dual monitors.

My breath caught in my throat. I was completely spellbound.

The design was an absolute masterpiece of modern engineering. Every single joint was drawn with unbelievable carefulness, showing a brilliant combination of titanium framing and complex micro fluid channels.

But what made my jaw drop was the nerve sensor mapping. The designer had figured out a way to route artificial electrical signals straight into the living tissue without causing inflammation or tissue rejection.

It was so elegant, so beautiful, that it looked like something created by a genius who had studied biomechanics for decades.

"This is incredible..." I whispered out loud to the empty room, a feeling of deep relief washing over my tired body.

With a blueprint like this in my hands, I didn’t even need to stress anymore. All I had to do was send these exact specs to my family’s private manufacturing facility, have their careful automated machines gather the metal parts, and assemble the pieces together.

I could easily claim this brilliant design as my own creation, and nobody in the pack would ever suspect a thing.

Right as I was admiring the beauty in front of me, my personal phone began to ring, vibrating violently against my table.

I glanced at the screen, expecting to see my mother’s name or some annoying person’s name like my dad. Instead, my heart skipped a beat, and my eyes widened in complete disbelief.

It was Alaric.

I quickly smoothed down my hair, cleared my throat to sound as composed and professional as possible, and swiped the screen to answer the call.

"Alaric?" I spoke into the phone, keeping my tone soft and sweet. "It is so wonderful to hear your voice. I wasn’t expecting a call from you today."

"Brielle," Alaric’s deep cold voice came through the speaker. "I am calling to check on the progress of your research. Aunt Kristy’s condition needs to be handled with extreme care. How far along are you with the prosthetic design?"

A flood of confusion rushed through my mind for a brief second. Why was Alaric calling me directly to ask about the project? He usually had Kasper or Gabriel handle these small check ins.

Then, a sudden, glorious realization dawned on me. A victorious smile spread across my face as I leaned back comfortably in my chair.

Alaric wasn’t just checking on a medical project. He was using Aunt Kristy as an excuse to talk to me! He was checking in on me because he was worried about how hard I was working.

Deep down, despite everything that had happened with that woman Rowena, Alaric still cared about me. He was just hiding his true feelings behind his cold Alpha king persona because of pack politics.

What he felt for Rowena wasn’t real love at all. It was just a temporary distraction, a passing phase. A powerful Alpha King like him could never truly love a plain, uneducated woman who had a bad family background or real medical talents.

"You don’t need to worry about a single thing, Alaric," I said smoothly, letting a confident warmth seep into my voice. "I have been locked in my private laboratory working tirelessly day and night. The blueprints are fully completed, and the design is beyond anything this pack has ever seen. Aunt Kristy is going to walk again, I promise you."

"Good," Alaric replied, his tone remaining distant. "Send the preliminary updates to the medical board by the end of the week."

Before I could say another word or steer the conversation toward something more personal, the line went dead as he hung up.

I pulled the phone away from my ear, staring at the screen with a wide, triumphant grin. Rowena was going to end up with absolutely nothing when this three week challenge was over.

She was going to be completely humiliated in front of the entire pack council, and Alaric would finally see who truly belonged by his side.

The door to my study was pushed open, and my mother walked inside, holding a glass of fresh juice. She took one look at my messy hair and dark eye circles, letting out an annoyed sigh as she set the glass down on my desk.

"Brielle, you look a total mess," mother scolded gently, crossing her arms over her trench coat. "You need to take a break and step out of this gloomy room for a few hours. Sitting here like a hermit isn’t doing your skin any favors."

"I am fine, Mother," I replied happily, waving my hand at the monitors. "In fact, I am better than fine."

My mother frowned slightly, stepping closer to the desk. "Well, you shouldn’t be so relaxed. I was at the central luxury mall earlier, and do you know who I ran into? Rowena."

I froze, turning my head to look at her. "Rowena? What was she doing at the mall?"

"She was wandering around buying expensive clothes for some girl," my mother sneered, her eyes flashing with anger as she recalled whatever encounter she had with Rowena. "She wasn’t in a lab, she wasn’t studying, and she certainly wasn’t taking this three week challenge seriously. She was just casually shopping as if she didn’t have a care in the world."

A sudden wave of caution washed over me, making my smile falter. Rowena wasn’t an idiot. If she was wandering around a shopping mall being completely relaxed while the clock was ticking, did that mean she had already finished her design? Had she already come up with a working prototype?

I looked back at the breathtaking mechanical blueprints displayed across my computer screens, and my confidence instantly returned.

It didn’t matter what Rowena had come up with. She was working alone in some dusty room with basic tools. Whatever crude piece of metal she managed to put together couldn’t possibly compare to this masterpiece created by an elite underground engineer.

"Let her shop, Mother," I said, a dark, arrogant smirk returning to my lips as I stood up from my chair and stretched my tired arms. "Whatever cheap design Rowena came up with is going to look like a toy compared to mine. In fact, tell me about that high society dinner party you mentioned yesterday. I want to go with you tonight."

My mother blinked in surprise, her face lighting up with excitement. "Really? You want to attend the party?"

"Yes," I declared. "I already have the perfect design saved on my drive. I can easily wrap up the rest of the manufacturing details in two days. It is time I step back into the spotlight where I belong."

My mother looked at me with deep pride and admiration, clutching her hands together. "That is my brilliant girl! Let us go get you dressed up. Soon, everyone will know that the true savior of the Ebonmoon Pack is you!"
