The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 1733: The Asura God

  • Next Chapter

Klaus and Nyrela stood stunned, watching as Asura walked out of the gateway. Behind him, a thick skull lined with red runes, thousands of them, hovered, each exuding the power of the Blood Dao.

The feeling coming from it made Klaus wonder just what Asura had been through while inside the trial.

But he soon turned his attention from that, since he knew Asura would share the memories with him soon. His attention shifted to something else.

As Asura walked out, a wave of feeling that caused all the hair on Klaus’s skin to stand came from a mark on Asura’s forehead. The mark was that of a shattered skull bearing a triangular eye.

"This..." Klaus pointed at the skull mark, causing Asura to pause and look at him...

"Oh, you know what this mark represents?" he asked, a smirk playing on his face...

"I do." Klaus sighed, allowing his mind to settle down, for he had never expected this to happen... "That is the mark of the Blood Cursed Empress. How did you get entangled in her business?"

"What can I say? She used underhanded means to get me into her business. But I am going to make sure she regrets what comes next."

A grin formed on Asura’s face, one that sent shivers down everyone’s spine a couple of minutes ago while still inside the Blood and Awe trial.

The bastard who proposed the bet clearly had ulterior motives but chose to lie, claiming he wanted to test his comprehension speed.

Asura only learned of the curse part after he comprehended the technique.

While the technique itself was perhaps the most powerful sword technique Klaus had ever seen, the things attached to it were just too much to fathom.

The curse was one that he would have to answer somewhere in the future by entering the Blood Empress Trial.

The mysterious Blood Cursed Empress was an existence that Klaus became aware of at the end of his third incarnation as the Asura God.

Back then, when Asura was entering the cycle of reincarnation, she intervened, nearly ruining it for him. But they had a talk, and she wanted him to participate in a trial she called Blood Harvest.

Asura rejected the offer, but she promised to get him in regardless of how much time had passed. Today, it appears she has succeeded.

But Klaus frowned regardless, for he had sensed some form of danger when he met the Blood Cursed Empress, and so he knew anything from her came at a cost.

"You know, she may think she has won, but from where I stand now, I think she has made the biggest mistake of her life by handing over that technique to me."

Asura waved his hand, and a rune formed from blood appeared in the air... "This is the source of the technique. Within this technique lies a hidden array that connects directly to the Primal Source.

"She may not have known it was there, or she did but didn’t think we would find it. But we did, and right now, thanks to us possessing the Dao of Blood, we can directly tap into the main source of existence and wield its power.

"If we can establish a connection, the it wont be long before we manifest our Dao and start comprehending how best to utilize it. Basically, I think we may have just found a way to overcome the coming dangers that will plague us and the universe."

Klaus nodded, then he turned and looked at the mark again...

"If you say so. In any case, share the details of your trial with me so we can plan what we do next."

Asura nodded and transferred the details to Klaus, who took his dear time going through every last piece of information.

Just like how Rhazor received knowledge of things outside this plane of existence, Asura had also received his fair share. Klaus had to take his time to go through everything...

After he was done with that, Klaus turned and looked at Asura, who was conversing with Nyrela about things Paragon Star-related.

"So you have to go to the Ancient Battlefield and help Rhazor handle the Twin Dagger Fiend. There is something about that fiend that doesn’t sit right with him.

"Deep down, I know we are walking into a trap, so when the time is right, you go handle that.

"Until then, transfer the Blood Cursed Empress seal to me. I will handle everything on my own.

"Your job is to ensure Rhazor doesn’t bite off more than he can chew, and when the ladies are ready, you help them handle the return of the Asura Race to the best of your abilities."

Asura glared at Klaus for a few seconds before he smirked. "You make it sound like I am your servant, buddy. The last I checked, you and I are the same living soul."

"Oh, I forgot. We are indeed the same living soul, so why did I even ask when I can just take." Klaus made a grabbing motion, and the skull tattoo on Asura’s forehead vanished and appeared on Klaus’s forehead.

"How annoying." Asura laughed and turned back to Nyrela... "We will be travelling together for a while, so you can go back to your mission and whatever else you have planned."

Klaus just smirked, already aware that Nyrela’s connection to the Paragon Star would be needed if Asura were to gain a better understanding of the Blood Dao.

"Just don’t put her in danger."

Asura laughed but said nothing.

In the end, he knew, regardless of what was to happen, unless he were to find himself in a realm similar to where Kaden had found himself, there was no way they would allow any harm to come to Nyrela or any of his wives.

"Take care of yourself, Nyrela, and don’t hesitate to reach out to your sisters for help. I am sure they are waiting to hear from you too."

Nyrela nodded, and after sharing a hug and a kiss, they left, leaving Klaus alone in the inheritance tower.

Klaus sighed, then, taking his time, he scanned the locations of his other incarnations. Still, Kaden wasn’t within his sensing range, so he excluded him from the search.

Asura and Nyrela left Planet Nexarion and headed to a planet where the beasts there gave rather potent blood essence. They were going to farm blood essence to cultivate.

Klaus’s attention, however, was focused on Knox, who was only days out from the planet the 4th Star Light lived on.
