The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 1191: Exaggerated Narrative

Chapter 1191: Exaggerated Narrative

“Wow, what are those?”

Somebody pointed at two powerful beams, shooting into the clouds.

One is a red beam, while the other is white. It is early in the morning, so people can see the two beams even from their windows.

The beams are coming from Dream City, a city where only warriors and their families live. Of course, not all warriors live there, just the high-ranking ones.

Waves of energy kept washing over the Earth’s surface, causing everyone to feel them and thus turn and look. Of course, even without the waves, one could see the red and white colours separating the clouds.

The Earth had been restructured so that the previously disorganised, poorly placed houses weren’t repeated in this new world.

All buildings were lined with roads and airrails that allowed airships and cars to move about without accidents or difficulties.

“I think someone has made a breakthrough,” a man in his early 50s said, seated in his chair, holding a glass of wine.

One would say it was too early to be holding a glass of wine.

However, as someone who had already taken a step toward evolution, the relaxed and happy Life Stage man took a sip of his wine before adding a few more words of context.

“I am sure two of Lord Klaus’s wives are making a breakthrough. They, after all, are literal monsters in human skin.” The man smiled and took yet another sip.

Sitting on his front porch, one could see a happy, relaxed, and fulfilled man, who feels safe and has provided for his family as a man should.

His 15-year-old son, who would be taking the awakening water in just a few months’ time, also took a sip of his wine.

One would say like father, like son, considering he was just 15 years old and had already started drinking.

However, this is a new Earth, where life as they know it has also changed. Having a good drink with one’s father early in the morning seemed like a dream many couldn’t afford years back.

The man took a sip and turned toward his son.

“Son, have I ever told you how I once met Lord Klaus on an expedition I and some friends went on in a forbidden zone and witnessed him vanquish a literal abomination with a single sword strike?”

The son smiled and answered, “Pops, you have told me this story 37 times in the past two months; however, why not one more time… no harm in that at least.”

The man smiled and first topped his wine by using his mind to control the wine bottle. After setting it down, he looked at his son and smiled.

“So I was just a Master stage warrior, still coming up as a warrior. One day, a few friends called me to join them on a mission to a Tier 3 forbidden zone.

Back then, Tier 3 forbidden zones were places where even Great Sages and Saints could easily die. However, because of my warrior spirit and unyielding tenacity, I picked up my spear and joined them.

As you would expect, it was both harrowing and rewarding. We plundered, killed, and looted like the warriors we were. Of course, I did most of the heavy lifting because you know what…?”

“Pops is the best warrior after Lord Klaus, his wives, his friends, their girlfriends, and the others in between.” The young man smiled, knowing his father had thoroughly exaggerated this story whenever he told it.

Two days ago, he said he and his pals nearly died a couple of times. However, today, he was the god of war on the battlefield.

It was just too funny that the poor kid couldn’t help but laugh a few times.

“However, when Lord Klaus appeared, his white hair billowing in the air, his hold on his sword firm like Thor, I knew I had finally met someone braver than me.

He killed that abomination with just a single swing of his sword, proving he was no ordinary warrior. It was also then that I decided deep in my heart to always follow him, even into the jaws of death.

He was both powerful and fearless, something I have learned this past year by paying closer attention to him.”

His son nodded to his father’s true yet overly exaggerated narration. He had heard it more times than he could count, and every time, the tone was different.

However, as someone who couldn’t wait long enough to become a warrior, hearing about his father’s adventures always filled him with joy.

“Listen, son, soon you’ll become a warrior like me. I know you can’t wait for your awakening. Trust me, I am the same for you. However, you need to know this…

On the warrior path, there are those born to lead and those meant to follow.

Whatever role you find yourself in, embrace it with your heart and strive to be the best at it. Trust me, there is nothing better than doing everything that is required of you and winning in the end.” The boy nodded to his father’s words.

Moments like this, instilling the core values and norms of a warrior, were the best thing possible.

The man smiled, seeing the determined look in his son’s eyes. This sight made him take another cherished sip of his wine before leaning back in his chair.

The day Klaus and Hanna met in the Ruin City Forbidden Zone, he was there too. Because of what he saw, he became determined and started training like crazy. He wanted only one thing, and that was to fight on the same battlefield as Klaus.

Now he had, and he was darn happy for that.

Back in Dream City, Thyra and Unity hovered a few meters off the ground, each radiating the aura of a Peak Nirvana Stage warrior.

After Klaus awakened all his bloodlines and handled all there was to handle, he chose to break the seal on Thyra and Unity.

Yuying and Nadia went to secure the items Klaus needed to refine his body, so he spent his time only with Thyra and Unity.

Thyra was a dragon created from Klaus’s arrogance. She was naturally arrogant, even when facing a god.

Back in the day, she alone had caused so much trouble that Klaus had to lock her in his soul sea just to limit the number of enemies they made.

Now, he had set her free.

As for Unity, she was created from Klaus’s willpower. She represented Klaus’s unyielding will.

She wouldn’t give up or give in to anything. Regardless of the situation they found themselves in, she would never back down, for she was not a quitter.

Now, as Klaus had unsealed them, they each had become who they were meant to be and, well, leveled up like crazy. They each moved from the Monarch Stage to the Peak Nirvana Stage.

However, since they had yet to take Klaus’s blood, there was no telling how strong they would become, especially now that they could use star qi.

After a couple of minutes, the process ended… “Congratulations, ladies,” Klaus said with a smile.

Unity and Thyra walked toward him and hugged him… “Thank you, Master.”

“I already told you ladies to call me Klaus… calling me Master after we have just had sex makes me feel like a slave master,” Klaus said with a small smile.

Unity and Thyra smiled… “Sorry… Klaus.”

“Much better.” Klaus wrapped his hands around their waists and grinned. “How about a couple more rounds before we go back to other things?”
