Chapter 341: Chapter 341 Bringing the allies together 2

Talia’s POV

My mother looked across the room, moving from one Alpha’s face to the other.

"Malachai is coming," she said. "And he will not stop until he has everything. He wants to control all wolves, he wants to control all magic, and he wants to control everything."

An Alpha spoke up, his voice sharp. "We have heard this before. We have heard of warlords who wanted to conquer the lands. What makes this one different?"

My mother looked at him, and I saw the grief in her eyes. "Because he is not just a warlord. He is not just a wolf who wants power. He is something older, and something darker. He has been hunting my people for thirty years. He has destroyed villages, scattered families, and killed hundreds. He has an army of corrupted wolves who gave up their souls for power."

The hall fell silent. I saw the Alphas exchanging glances, and I saw the fear flickering in their eyes.

Alpha Thornwood leaned forward, his voice sharp. "You speak of corrupted wolves, Seraphina. But how do we know this is not just a story? How do we know you are not exaggerating to scare us into fighting your war?"

I felt a flash of anger, but before I could speak, my mother stepped forward.

"Exaggerating?" she said, and her voice was cold. "I spent fifteen years in a cage made of silver. I watched my daughter’s eyes fill with tears when she saw what I had become, I watched my village burn to the ground, and I watched my people fall one by one. And you ask me if I am exaggerating?" ℯ

The hall fell silent, and Alpha Thornwood looked away first.

Another Alpha spoke, his voice quieter. "Corrupted wolves? What does that mean?"

My mother took a breath. "They are wolves who traded their freedom for power. They are hollow shells, empty of everything except his will. They cannot be reasoned with, they cannot be saved, and they will fight until they are destroyed."

I saw Alpha Stone lean forward, with his eyes narrowed. "And you have faced them?"

My mother nodded. "I have watched them destroy my village. I have watched them kill people I loved, and I have watched them drag me to a cage where I spent fifteen years."

The hall was silent again, and I could hear the sound of my own heartbeat.

Alpha Stone’s voice was steady. "And you believe we can defeat them?"

My mother looked at him, and I saw the fire in her tired eyes. "I believe we have no choice," she said. "If we do not stand together, we will fall one by one. Malachai will not stop, and he will not rest, and he will not be satisfied until he has everything."

Another Alpha spoke, his voice filled with doubt. "But how do we defeat an army of wolves who feel nothing? How do we fight an enemy that cannot be reasoned with?"

I stepped forward, and I raised my voice. "We fight with our strength, we fight with our courage, and we fight with our unity. Malachai’s army is powerful, but they are hollow. They have no loyalty to each other, and they have no love for each other. They follow Malachai because they have no choice. But we follow each other because we choose to."

I looked at the Alphas, and I saw the determination flickering in their eyes.

"We have the strength of the pack," I continued. "We have the courage of our ancestors, and we have each other. Malachai is powerful, but he is not invincible. He can be defeated, and we can defeat him."

Alpha Stone stood, and I watched him look around the room. "I have fought many battles," he said. "I have lost friends, I have lost family, and I have seen evil. But I have never seen anything like what you are describing. And I have never walked away from a fight."

He turned to me, and I saw the resolve in his eyes. "The Stoneclaw Pack will stand with you."

I felt the hope rising in my chest. One by one, the other Alphas stood.

"The Thornwood Pack will stand with you."

"The Silver Ridge Pack will stand with you."

"The Moonshadow Pack will stand with you."

The hall erupted in cheers from the Shadowfang wolves who had been watching from the back. I heard the warriors shouting, and I saw the elders nodding with approval. The allied Alphas looked around, and I saw the surprise on their faces. They had not expected this kind of reaction and joy.

I felt the warmth spreading through my chest. This was not just an alliance of leaders, this was an alliance of wolves. And that made all the difference.

I looked at the room, at the wolves who had come to stand with us. They were afraid, but they were not running. They were staying, and they were fighting.

I looked at my mother, and I saw the tears streaming down her face. But she was smiling, and she was proud.

I reached for Kaelen’s hand, and I squeezed it. "We can do this," I whispered.

He pulled me closer, and I felt his lips brush against my ear. "You did it, Talia. You brought them together. I knew you could."

I looked at him, and I felt the tears burning in my eyes. "We did it, Kaelen. All of us."

He squeezed my hand back. "I know we can, Talia. I have always believed."

I looked at the Alphas, at the wolves who had pledged to stand with us, and I felt the determination burning in my chest.

We now had loyal allies, and the alliance was growing.

And day by day, we were getting ready.
