The Hidden Luna of Blackmoor Valley
Chapter 183 The Bite 1
Chapter 183: Chapter 183 The Bite 1
Talia’s POV
The kiss lingered between us, soft and full of promise.
I could feel the weight of the moment pressing down on us, from the significance of what was about to happen. This was not just a kiss, this was the beginning of another stage of our lives.
I felt the warmth of his lips on mine, and I knew that everything was about to change. He pulled back and looked at me, with his gray eyes searching my face.
I could see the questions in his eyes, and the uncertainty. He was making sure I was sure, and he was giving me one last chance to change my mind.
"I truly love you," he said.
"I love you too," I replied.
The words came out soft, but they carried so much weight. And I meant them with every part of me.
He kissed me again, and then he pulled back. His hand moved to my neck, with his thumb brushing over the spot where he would mark me.
His touch was gentle, and almost reverent, like he was asking permission. I leaned into his hand, letting him know I was ready.
I felt a shiver run down my spine.
"Are you ready?" he asked.
I looked into his eyes, and I saw the love there, the desire, and the fear.
His fear was not for himself. It was for me. He would rather hurt himself than cause me pain. And that made me love him even more.
He was afraid of hurting me. But I was not afraid. I wanted this. I wanted him.
"Yes," I said.
He kissed my neck, soft and slow, preparing me.
Each kiss was gentle, like he was savoring the moment. I felt his breath on my skin, warm and steady, and I closed my eyes.
His lips trailed down my throat, and I felt his breath on my skin. My heart was pounding, and my hands were shaking.
Then he bit down.
I felt his teeth sink into my skin, and the world exploded into light and pain. It was like nothing I had ever felt before, but I did not try to pull away, because I wanted this, and I wanted him.
The pain was sharp and white-hot. I cried out, with my back arching against the bed. My fingers gripped his shoulders, and I felt the bond snap into place. It was like a door opening inside me, and like a connection that had always been there, waiting to be completed.
I could feel him now, his emotions, his thoughts, and his love. It was overwhelming and beautiful.
I could feel his heart beating in time with mine, and his breath mingling with my breath. We were connected now, and it was now in a way that could never be undone.
And then I felt tears streaming down my face.
He pulled back and looked at me. The mark on my neck was red and raw, but it was already healing. I touched it, and I felt the bond pulsing between us.
"Talia," he whispered.
I reached up and touched his face.
His skin was warm beneath my fingers, and I could feel the love radiating from him. I smiled, even though my eyes were still wet.
"I am okay," I said.
He smiled, and I saw the relief in his eyes. "Now you," he said.
I nodded, sat up and kissed his neck.
I could feel his pulse beneath my lips, fast and strong. He was nervous, I realized. He was just as afraid as I had been.
I felt his breath hitch as my lips touched his skin. Then I bit down, and I felt him shudder beneath me.
His body tensed, and I heard him gasp. I felt his hands grip my waist, and I knew he was feeling the same connection, and the same bond snapping into place.
I marked him, claiming him as mine.
When I pulled back, I looked at the mark on his neck. It was the same as mine, red and raw, but it was already healing. He was mine, and I was his completely.
"We are bonded," I said.
The words felt right, like they had always been waiting to be spoken. I smiled, and I saw the same smile on his face.
"We are bonded," he repeated.
The weight of his body pressed against mine was no longer a reminder of vulnerability, but a shield against everything that had once threatened to tear us apart.
I let myself sink into the safety of his arms, knowing that whatever darkness still lurked beyond the walls of this room, we would meet it not as two separate souls, but as one unbreakable force.
Suddenly, I felt a warmth spread through my chest, but it was different from the heat of passion. It was deeper, older, and more primal. I could feel Lyra stirring inside me, with her presence rising to the surface. I felt her joy, her satisfaction, and her completeness.
And then she howled.
It was not a sound that came from my throat. It was a sound that echoed inside my very soul, which represented a howl of triumph and belonging. She was happy, she was whole, and she was home.
The finality of the bond settled deep in my chest like a newly awakened heartbeat.
It echoed with every pulse of warmth that radiated from the mark on my neck, and I realized that this was not simply an ending of one Chapter of my life, but the beginning of something far more real and permanent than I had ever dared to imagine.
