Chapter 3446: Chapter 3447: Beware of Divine Retribution

He’d only seen Lin Caisang and Sui Zimo by accident; if it had been just Lin Caisang, he wouldn’t have recognized her at all.

But Sui Zimo was right there next to Lin Caisang, and that face, he definitely knew.

So he’d tailed them all the way here, wanting to squeeze some benefits out of the two of them—after all, he was their Second Uncle; if he wanted to take a little something off Lin Caisang, that should be fine.

He’d actually planned it out nicely. He’d already bought the drug and was just waiting for nightfall, so he could knock the two of them out and strip them of every valuable on their bodies.

That way, his days would get a bit easier again—no need to work the fields every day, exhausting himself like a dog.

But who knew, before he could even make a move, just as he was secretly watching from the side, he got caught red-handed by the people following around the pair.

And they even dragged him out in front of the two of them—tied up, no less. How humiliating was that.

At this point he really had the urge to slap these two in front of him to death.

"Hurry up and untie me, you bastards!"

Seeing that neither of them intended to speak, he urged again.

Who’s supposed to just sit here tied up like this? It was unbearable. And that underling of Lin Caisang’s—who knew if he was a water buffalo in his last life—his strength was ridiculous.

The rope was tied way too tight; where it was digging into him hurt so much he wanted to die.

But just as he cursed out loud, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his face, his head snapped to the side from the blow, and in no time his cheek started to swell with blood.

"You... you dare hit me?"

He turned his head back and glared at Lin Caisang.

"Lin Caisang, I’m your Second Uncle! You dare hit me? Watch out or heaven’s thunder will strike you—ah!"

He hadn’t even finished his sentence when Sui Zimo landed another slap on him from a distance, sending his whole body skidding over.

"You... you..."

This time, Liu Baixiao didn’t dare curse anymore.

Because he’d seen clearly: Sui Zimo was still a good distance away, yet with just a lift of his hand he could smack him right in the face.

It made him feel like these two in front of him had turned into monsters, not people at all!

"What... what are you, human or ghost?"

Right now he didn’t even care about the burning pain on his face; he was shaking all over with fright.

He’d always known Sui Zimo was capable, but no matter how capable, how could he possibly hit him and send him flying without even touching him?

In this moment he truly regretted it—why had he secretly followed when he first saw Lin Caisang?

Wouldn’t it have been better to just run away? No matter how tempting that tiny bit of profit was, could it be more important than his own life?

"What’s wrong? If we really were ghosts, could Second Uncle still go hire a priest to come and capture us?" Lin Caisang looked at him with a bright smile and asked.

"Second Uncle, do you still have that kind of ability now?"

She let her gaze sweep up and down Liu Baixiao, taking in his clothes full of patches and how much older his face had become.

"You—"

Hearing her, Liu Baixiao was furious.

He might be down and out now, he didn’t deny that. But no matter how far he’d fallen, he was still Lin Caisang’s blood-related Second Uncle, wasn’t he?

As a niece, how could she mock her own Second Uncle like this? This unfilial thing really was going to piss him to death!

"Lin Caisang, I am your blood-related Second Uncle!"

"I know."
